Now I‘m running a version of the scx10 at the moment. If I were to get a second crawler I think I‘d go for the gen 8 because of the portals. The reason why I‘d decide against the TRX4 sport is the gorgeous body of the Redcat
I’m a fan of both! I thought the Gen7 did real well; mine always was a great rig, and I think it’s been under appreciated. I’ve only had my Gen8 out once...I need to change that! That was an awesome spot you guys found Steve, thanks for sharing!👍😊
Funny you say that when I got up on the top of the mountain my lower back went out pinched nerves and pain shooting all the way down my right leg...had to walk a few miles down with it!
Hi the gen 8 is better, when you mod the gen 7 a lot like I did with mine it can go most places the Gen 8 can but sometimes it is harder for the gen 7 and it can get stuck on the low pumpkin of the axles. so in short the gen 8 is a better truck all around but do you need it to have fun crawling? absolutely not you have just as much fun with a gen 7. Thanks bud, to be honest because I really went with the G8 first and with the G7 I tried going the way I though was harder than I did with the G8 can't tell on film but it was a harder spot to go up by that big tree. the gen 7 went everyplace the Gen 8 went this day out I was surprised it did real well from my mods I did to it. 👍I am sure the G8 is better but the gen 7 hangs with it pretty good.
Hi PC I did not know what that was coming from I thought it was the drive shafts but when I got home I checked it and it looks like it's the spur gear it's out of round a bit so it makes a clunking sound don't know why they must have molded them out of round. I took the axles apart they looked new inside still. 👍Thanks for watching.

Yea Thanks Scott, it was a fun spot you can drive on it for hours...hit the rocky sides and stuff and go for a climb up the other side.
