Hey bro I need your advice dude I don’t have much experience with bikes and just decided to buy one that has good looking but economical and not heavy. Easy enough to ride . I’m 5 foot 8 inches by the way . Good sounding also What would you recommend for me ?
Nod to the H2 - they were really fun. I was riding out to local Kawa /HD dealership, one Sat morning and the faint whiff of 2 stroke oil entered my nostrils. I opened the throttle and found a 72 Green 750 in front of me, The 1100 -6cyl Honda was an issue because it dragged its case ends when pushed. Now the Suzuki -Twin 750 - 2 stroke - Water cooled - known by others as the Water Buffalo - Guaranteed to be the center of an oil spill - always over the Boots! For me - 2 strokes were either idle - or RED-LINED. Then you shifted. Cheers!
I use to have an SP370 with a moderate pipe on it - I use to love accelerating away from a corner one gear too high - both the sound and the feel. Ditto the KLX650.
In about '73/'74, I witnessed several H2 750s racing flat track against XR750s and XS650s at Rosecroft Raceway in Maryland. We spectators were under a covered grandstand (it was a horse racing track) and though the sound from the four strokes was deafening, the Kawasakis were ear-shattering. It was heaven.
Aprilia RSV4 has the worst superbike exhaust note out of everyone, stop trying so hard to be a snowflake. its shit, and sounds like shit and no its not a preference, it actually sounds like shit unless you are deaf.
Raek Daius Dude! Slow down.... You're a hater and we get that. But Aprilia is the one and only one which has a unique exhaust note. And it's way better than any other except Ducati and Benelli.
RC51’s doppelgänger Suzuki SV1000 deserves a nod. The Suzuki GT 750 fitted with expansion chambers gives the Kawasaki triples a run for their money as well! Sweet music!!
Yammie you forgot to add an underbone! It's name is Yamaha Z and it has the best two stroke sound! It firstly appeared in Greece at summer of 1999 and it was a "cheater" bike back then because it weighs 70kgs, has 6 gears and it is 125cc compared to other underbones that had 3 gears, weighed 100kgs and were only four stroke with 50cc engines. This bike is a legend because it is still the fastest bike in 2019 and it is the easiest-cheapest bike to tune (from 125cc-18hp to 250cc-53hp) with only 250$!!!
Great list of high rpm bikes! The best sounding old school, low rpm bike I ever experienced was a 1979 Yamaha SR500 with factory exhaust. I owned one in the eighties and it turned heads every time I ride it. A list of best sounding bikes at idle would be interesting too. I would vote for an air cooled Yamaha RD400 with DG pipes.
I'd put the V2 Panigale on that list, too. It had a 'legal' 100something DB in its papers and, with 1300cc on 2 cylinders, it is the meanest sounding thing I ever heard.
I watched my dad wreck an H2 750 about 25 years ago. He leaned into a turn and the kickstand came down and stood him straight up. He hit a culvert, went airborne and through 2 4x4 fence posts. Tore half of his hand off, broke 3 vertebrae, and shattered both bones in his left arm. If he had a helmet on it would have killed him from his neck snapping back.
For me it will always be the Bimota Test D1 SR... a stroked Ducati 851 so that it makes 904 cubes... and routed through Termignon Carbon pipes... I had the rare pleasure of owning such a bike for several years while living in Japan... it was a beast of a machine... I miss it to this day...
Nothing there that doesn’t deserve to be there but the gear driven v4 Honda 409/750 seem an obvious omission in my book. Big thumbs up for putting this together.
That Desmosedici is the only Ducati that I have heard to date that I like. It sounds like a true monster. If I was going to get a sport bike it'd need to sound similar. 'Til then I'll happily listen to rumble from my HD Street 750 with a new pipe.
Fun fact. My dad owned a rc51 back when I was in second grade. He would leave for work when I had to get up for school and that bike was my alarm clock for almost 2 years. Damn I miss that sexy beast
Acoustics aside (which the Desmosedici wins, followed closely by the widowmaker RD 500), the best sounding bike you'll ever ride is the very first one you own by yourself. The moment you passed the city signs, saw the open country in front of you and opened the throttle to unleash all of its 26 hp, *that* is the sound that stays with you. For a lifetime.
My Fav ❤️️❤️️❤️️was the Honda CBX 1100 (6 cylinder ), I ride a YAMAHA R6 with a TOCE exhaust , but mine is crap compared to the Honda CBX 1100. Awesome Killer Sound !!
Yammie continues on with the jihad of the "Top X BEST -" series and lands another slammin video. But for real though, thanks for the video, plus that made me sub to the SuperBike Racer (R1 clip).
The greatest mechanical sound I have heard is the glorious noise of the Honda six. At top speed, which I was fortunate enough to hear as a young man, nothing, but nothing, comes even close.
Desmosidici has a smoother, *consistent* rpm climb power band well into last gear than typical valve spring equipped valve lobes. Pros: good for power delivery. Con: Expensive to maintain.
I am very lucky I have owned a CBX1000, a VTR 1000 and now I have Ducati, great choices I have to say. Followed a VTR 1000 home from work the other day and between my duc and VTR what a thundering noise! Cheers Yammie
Probably get hate for this, but my 2008 ninja 250 with stock exhaust sounds pretty slick. My jaw dropped when the seller pulled up cause I thought he was riding a meaner bike
Someone composed a symphony for CBX1050 and orchestra. At the first performance the orchestra did not turn up as they got the date wrong. As it was no one seemed to notice during the performance.
Yeah, I can hear it lol. RC51 is def. one of the sexiest sounding V twins I ever heard. Cruiser V's sound like they're shitting out food from Taco Bell.
Sleepingdragon 1 I've still got my 99. Waiting on some free time to install a Power Commander and an ultra rare Erion Racing full exhaust system. Have yet to meet a bike I'd sell this one for.
Did you know I'm giving away a FREE Street Triple, XSR700 and Duke 390, click here: www.yammienoob.co/
Bro, i own a younger version of RD500, its RD350. Really awesome sound.
Street Triple best sound like music

The Desmosedici RR sounds like a monster and I LOVE it!

No it's actually sound like motoGp honda engines
It reminds me of the Road Rash (videogame) bikes

That CBX1100 dropped my jaw

Honda CBX the best period!,❤️
I had a 1980 for 24 years loved that bike. It now lives in Finland with a guy who has 5 of them. Miss it still, it was part of me
yep
That’s a exclamation mark
Yea shit screamin right now
The Desmo is out of this world, and a work of art to look at!
wow the cbr250rr sounds like the Formula 1 v8 engine.
Adam Soumayah v 6?
Andrea Azzaroni they use turbo v6 now I believe
Had one. Had absolutely no grunt (even for a 250) under 8500...but man it comes alive from 9 to about 16, and the sound is fantastic.
They use v6
You mean the CBX 1100?, nothing special about the sound of the cbr250.
the sound of the desmosedici made my soul happy
Summer Dixon true, it makes my day better
Too bad where I am (Australia) they're A HUNDRED GRAND used.
Me two
@rbc21 no it doesn't.
it sounds like a revvy harley *runs away screaming*
That Ducati sounds amazing but you'll need a part 2 list to include the Aprilia Tuono V4 and RSV4. All the V4's sound incredible.
I love how when I accidentally hit the subtitles during the cbx1100, the captions said "music" when it revved out. What a sweet song it is

ducati desmosedici rr sounds like small block v8 incredible!!
Sounds a bit like a the V10 from the gallardo
That's a v-4 thing.
I wonder how many people mispronounce this bike's name lol
Rides like a small block v8 from the early 80's too😍
That Ducati should be somehow protected as an important heritage for humanity.
My dad had an RD500 when I was little and used to take me on rides all the time. Never really knew or appreciated it's character until recently.
My ‘74 Guzzi T3 with 1000cc big bore kit, with Bub pipes could make people smile.
Yes agreed but the Desmosedici has to be the best out there.......Jesus and has to be one of the best bikes ever built period. 👌
indeed unfortunately also one of the most expensive ever built
Not really..
Aprilia rsv4's v4 engine sounds better
I rode a friends. Eyeball bleeding fast and incredibly smooth. Needs smooth roads/track though. Like sitting on a block of iron over bumps.
Idk Man v4s sound so off to me...
4:51 why tf does it sound like a 4 rotor rx7
Mystic Sounds like a 787b 😂
MolecularWeight Listen closely when he is taking off doesn't fully sound like a 4 rotor but sounds pretty similar at certain rpms
The Tuner from Hell .
Nah, it definitely has a 3 Rotor sound
Ikr
Am I the only one who loves the sound of a single cylinder thumper
Especially 2 stroke, but a 450 with a good exhaust does have a growly, rip your balls off kind of sound
Old TT racers like the Manx Norton sound fukn mint
I use to have an SP370 with a moderate pipe on it - I use to love accelerating away from a corner one gear too high - both the sound and the feel.
Ditto the KLX650.
It sounds like a fart machine...
Nope
If I close my eyes I can hear my 1970 CB 750 as I ran through the 5 speed. What a sweet sound.

TIL that 2 strokes sound good? I mean I love them, but they definitely aren't a pleasure to listen to.
Only when you sit on one ;)

Weird seeing you here haha! I love your vids
they sound amazing
Yo Yammie, you missed the awesome sound of Aprilia, the RSV mille, or the RSV4! Great vid as usual tho!
RSV4 could definitely be on here. Probably my favourite sound behind the new crossplane R1s.
As the RSV sounds more thunder like and more mature than the CBR's for example, it def deserves a place on the list
vinnip12 I agree!
And it's way better than any other except Ducati and Benelli.
the honda cbx sounds amazing, i've seen a few other youtube videos with that bike and it soungs better than anything on 2 wheels
RC51’s doppelgänger Suzuki SV1000 deserves a nod. The Suzuki GT 750 fitted with expansion chambers gives the Kawasaki triples a run for their money as well! Sweet music!!
You had me at "CBX1100" :) Great list mate, well done.

Aprillia rsvr 1000 millie. Awesome sound and that induction noise when you shut the throttle. I miss you Millie.
Best sounding bike I ever had was a '47 Indian Chief with Bonneville cams, lightened flywheels and a Indian racing carb. Straight pipes of course.
cbx1100 without a doubt sounds the best, and that's coming from a Ducati owner!
I feel like the 959 as a Demoniac sound, it deserves an honorable mention on this list.
Me when sees R1 is on the list: I see yammie Noob have chosen the right one😊
Love the 2 strokes. Had a Honda NSR 250 for years
I'd put the V2 Panigale on that list, too. It had a 'legal' 100something DB in its papers and, with 1300cc on 2 cylinders, it is the meanest sounding thing I ever heard.
Crossplanes have that signature grunt in their sound, change my mind
No need.
Honda Rc51 is my Favorite!
Yamaha bikes do have pretty dark and rough sound
I like that
CBX1100 sounds amazing but I love that RD500 2 stroke sound too.
Yamaha sound are always the best so smooth 💥
5:31 holy shit, I need one
Crossplane R1 was the best....followed by Ducati (y)
Every bike I expected 😍 I found myself yelling out "YES!!" For most of these. Music to my ears
The desmosedici was an eargasm, but then when that cb1100 screamed, holy shit, my eardrums know what heaven is like

The SP1 and SP2 Honda's sounded the best with Yoshimura systems. They were beasts but geared very tall.
Desmosidici has a smoother, *consistent* rpm climb power band well into last gear than typical valve spring equipped valve lobes. Pros: good for power delivery. Con: Expensive to maintain.
For every sweeeeet exhaust note the English (auto generated) subtitles read it as (Music) . It's not lying
