    Jan Lisiecki is a Polish-Canadian classical pianist. Lisiecki performs over a hundred concerts annually and has worked closely with the world's leading orchestras and conductors, his career at the top of the international concert scene spanning over a decade. He has been a recording artist with Deutsche Grammophon since the age of fifteen.

    I really like what he said about the way someone else approaches music: we shouldn't "try to imitate it . . . There's a big difference between role model and inspiration." :-)

    What a delightful young man who speaks eloquently . Seems he is easy to get along woth and he has a wonderful future . His playing is a joy to listen to

    I was lucky. My father started me off at age 6 or 7 with Beethoven's Emperor concerto and Rachmaninov 2. He gave me many things, but that's still my favourite

    Here Jan exhibits yet another of his multi-faceted talents, that of an astute cultural critic : with razor like precision he summarizes all that has been ever wrong with 'pop' muzak, neatly discarding it into the dustbin.

    "...in pop music, whatever happens, as long as the singer is really good looking, and undressed, and dances well... fine, it's interesting." Well said, but I would say dancing well is not really necessary. :)
