Excellent review and how to use Josh. My only hold up is the space it takes up. I would rather have a wall mounted unit than on the floor. Thank you again.
Thanks Mike! Yes, that’s a very legitimate concern, and most definitely something to consider. I think a wall mounted unit has some advantages for space utilization for sure! Appreciate the kind feedback bud 👊🏼
First thing you should do is attach two 90 degree elbows on the cleanout ports into a WYE fitting and cap that with a rubber cap. Then cleaning is much easier than crawling around on the floor for each port clean. Support the WYE with a 4" clip clamp by attaching to the perforated sheet metal on the G-700. Use a wood block behind the 4" clip clamp to keep the WYE vertical. If not using a fair length of DC hard piping and attaching a 4" hose directly to a planer, turn the speed to under 60 or a short flex hose will have too much air velocity and bypass the bins with chips going directly into the filters. Taking the filters out of the G-700 is a pain and about an hour of work if you know what you're doing.
@@bobbray9666 Yes, definitely would be a good idea to make those modifications! I saw quite a few people doing that for the clean outs and I may do it as well! Appreciate the feedback! 👊🏼
@@haroldcampbell The Harvey G700 has a rating of 61-72 dBA, while my Mini Gorilla is at 80.5 dBA. To my ears, the Harvey is a bit quieter, but I still wear my ear protection with use. Hope that helps!
