@@rickkinney1249 Oh! I should have mentioned that! This was at IWF in Atlanta. I believe they have this show there every 2 years. Just tons of vendors from very large industrial equipment, all the way to home workshop items. I found it pretty good to attend!
I’m guessing this is well north of $600-700. But if it’s even way more than that, like above $2k-2.5k, I’d get a decent desktop CNC instead. It is nice and all, no argument there. But if it’s either/or, I’d choose the CNC because it wouldn’t need to be guided by hand. Edit: wow, just checked their website. It’s like $3k. So I’d definitely go with a desktop CNC instead. Unless money is no issue and just have both 😁 The shaper to be like a mini/portable CNC
@@MStoica You’re correct on the pricing being fairly high! It’s definitely something you’d have to weigh before deciding. A tabletop version would also be super helpful like you said! Available space in your shop would be a factor, but you most definitely have a point!
It's a stagnated startup product that has failed to turn a profit after nearly ten years on the market which leans more and more toward subscription-based SaaS bullshit to try and make up the difference.
I honestly am not aware of the profitability or how well they are doing as a company financially. I do think the tool has many benefits though as a furniture maker myself. It isn’t inexpensive though, so it’s not a tool for everyone’s budget (currently not in mine either). I appreciate the feedback though, I’m always open to learning more about things 👊🏼
@@thcoura It definitely opens some doors! In a non skilled shop it could up the quality quite a bit…in an already skilled shop, the skies the limit with creativity!
o men ... as a precision mobile tool , this is a game changer , thanks mates
@@Airborntx It would be a nice addition to the shop for sure! Pricing is high, but I think it opens up some possibilities!
