This is maybe my favorite of Floor's covers. All of them are excellent, but with this song i have some personal history. She has done this a couple of times before, but this is the best version of them. It's mature and powerful, but also quite vulnerable at the same time. The beautiful grand piano is provided by Floor's long time friend and collaborator SIR Joost van den Broek (After forever, Ayreon, ReVamp). ⛄👍

As other's have said it is ok to cry. Their are mutltiple Floor/Nightwish songs that get me in the feels everytime. Another song that makes me cry everytime is Rivers by Epica off their Omega album.

Cool Reaction! For the longest time I thought Alone was an original 1987 Heart song. But Heart covered it from the duo, I-Ten. Who originally recorded it in 1983. From the massive success of Heart's version, not even Celine Dion could come close with her version, looks like people love Heart's cover the best. 💜

Floor & Nightwish are both something I only discovered through reactions on here & now I'm hooked! Heart's 'Alone' was one of my absolute favorites growing up in that era of music- this surpasses it in my humble opinion! You definitely need to check out more of her & more of Nightwish!!

Just a wee bit of info, Heart's version of this is also a cover and not the original as many people seem to think! They certainly made it famous but they didn't have anything to do with writing the music or the lyrics . You can search Google and get all the information about the history of the song if you want to find out more about it as it's quite interesting! Oh good you read my mind. The crying part... she can do that to people. In some of her performances on Beste Zangers she brought tears to her peers. There are some really good singers and then there is Floor who seems to teach a master class in how to be the master of your instrument. I'm happy along with you for finding out.

Diana Ankudinova is 15 years old in this video, singing a cover of Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, giving it a more "tribal" sound. She's a contralto, even at the age of 15, has a unique and otherworldly voice, and a commanding stage presence.
She is performing on the Russian TV show You Are Super, a show for disadvantaged children to display their talents that they otherwise would not be able to.
Diana (dee-ah-na) was abandoned by her abusive mother at the age 3 and placed in an orphanage, diagnosed with cognitive impairment. Her adoptive mother had her enroll in singing lessons to help with some speech problems due to abuse and neglect. Her singing talent was immediately noticed and the rest, as they say, is history. It's a safe prediction that you'll have goosebumps and say that's the most unique voice you've ever heard.

Just a wee bit of info, Heart's version of this is also a cover and not the original as many people seem to think! They certainly made it famous but they didn't have anything to do with writing the music or the lyrics .
You can search Google and get all the information about the history of the song if you want to find out more about it as it's quite interesting!
Anyway, I have subscribed to your channel as I like your reactions to Floor and Nightwish and look forward to seeing more of them from you.

No, thank you! It even made me cry (again!), and I'm a cold 52 year old fucker... Floor is so good! They feed of eachother; Floor made Nightwish better and more positive than ever, and Nightwish restored Floor's confidence in music and people...it's the world's most beautiful love story really... and we get to enjoy the "baby's"...😊 Love your way of reacting; no pauses, commentary after the song...my hat of to you dear Lady...

Floor has that effect on me no matter what she sings. She has many beautiful covers on her channel that you will absolutely love. I just hope you know how big a rabbit hole you are about to go through with Nightwish and Floor. All I can say is buckle up and enjoy the ride.

And you are right, this IS the purpose of music: to get touched by it. And Floor is a master in getting the message of every song she is singing to the listener, no matter what the emotion of the song is supposed to be. Tuomas (the Nightwish mastermind) couldn't ask for a better transmitter of his music.
Oh good you read my mind. The crying part... she can do that to people. In some of her performances on Beste Zangers she brought tears to her peers. There are some really good singers and then there is Floor who seems to teach a master class in how to be the master of your instrument. I'm happy along with you for finding out.
