I've heard many incantations of HSCC and I've always been impressed....Is the vocalist Sarah Lloyde? I knew during the first few bars of this song that she would give an amazing performance.
Dave, you are right there. I have listened to the original time and again, and the Wilson sisters are good. However, Sarah Lloyde is up there with the Wilsons. What a brilliant cover from the whole band of course

@@muccanick Thanks for the recommendation. Both are superb and CRS is even a better "recording" imho... It's understandable that HSCC is using their max efforts in mixing their music recorded in such a little space, this has a huge effect on the quality of the final result. That being said, however, HSCC vocalist amazing Sarah Lyod is truly screaming from her Heart, her voice is much stronger than the vocal in the Classic Rock Show version. I would compare her voice only to Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston... No need to mention the lead guitarist as well, he is adding such a superb metalish hard rock taste into the rendition...

Congratulations to the female lead singer. You pulled the vocals off perfectly. Heart is one of those groups that if you do not have vocals to sing it, don't. You did it perfectly.

I've seen several groups and singers singing this song, none of which, in my opinion, surpass Sarah's in this video. Anyone who doesn't like it is because they don't know how to evaluate what a true musical performance is.

I concur with many of the previous comments. I love this song and Ann Wilson's vocals. This is truly the best cover. Sarah Lloyde captures the power and emotion better than anyone else I've heard. I've listened to it over and over.

As a musician/producer for over 50 years recording multiple artists you get to know right away who is real and who is fake, who has true soul and who has no soul. This lady has ultimate soul and from her heart feels this musical adaptation from beginning to end. You don’t see this too often. She actually has a special gift that very few have. A gift that is God given but has been trained to perfection. She knows how to control her emotions while delivering the song through pure heart and massive vocal transmission. That my friends is called delivering the whole package that justifies the intent and meaning of this composition. The guitarist behind her has the same gift, playing with extreme emotion and natural accuracy. I just wish they were here in southwest florida USA. I don’t know what they are being paid where they are right now, but here they are worth a lot of money.. love you guys, stay well.

Blah blah blah. As a human who can listen to someone sing, this is off the charts. You have a beautiful voice. Most of these 'Alone' covers on TH-cam fall short. This is just beautiful.
Not many can tackle Heart and come close to Ann Wilson's powerful and beautiful voice...but you did it! Very nicely done.

@@nicholasgabriel4073 It's a great !! cover , and she no doubt can sing . But to say it was 100% live i highly doubt . Singers now days , can use pitch correction while singing live . And the vocals can also be run through software prior to releasing these video's . Notice how their is not even one struggle on the demanding high notes , over and over it's all "perfect pitch every time . Ann in her prime .. could come very close to this as anyone could . And that's no easy task . But not even she could sing it 100% a studio version . And she was the best of the best

I have seen a lot of videos covering this song. From cover bands, the voice and every other talent reality show, to Kelly Clarkson.....I must say, no one, I mean NO ONE comes close to the vocal power of this lady. WOW!!! Just amazing. She's beautiful too.

Damn, the lady has some AMAZING pipes. I'm in the Seattle area, where Heart got their start and they have always been one of my favourite bands. People who try to cover them usually fail for lack of a quality singer. This is without a doubt the best Heart cover I've heard! Well done.

Ann Wilson's voice is one of rock's greatest. It's in her range and POWER. The song "Alone" is a perfect pop song because it has all of those aspects that define a great song... emotion, a great lyrical hook (the writer's longing for intimacy), a platform for the vocal to soar, and more emotion. Who hasn't felt the need in this song? The vocalist here delivers a powerful rendition. Absolutely great HSCC!!

Another great cover. People try and sing Heart songs, some fail at the attempt, and others do a decent job. It’s not an easy song to replicate such a powerful female rock voice. I’m almost 100% positive that Ann Wilson would be proud of this rendition. Without question Sarah did it justice, and did it better than anyone else not named Ann Wilson. Bravo!!!!
