Man am i envious of what you found, well done Luke. I could only dream about finding that amount in one area in a single hunt. This is only my second year as a detctorist, kind of wish i had picked up the hobby years ago when i was younger. 👍👍
I am so glad you enjoyed watching this hunt @Paul W it's amazing just how much money can be picked up at some of these sites. Not all...but some.
Some of the best sites to hunt also are the market sites on weekends on grass areas. They are generally full of coins and regenerate weekly👌
In 7 years on detecting for me, my only regret is I didn't start earlier as well. I could have been 18 and hitting up all the beaches, parks, and places before anybody else. Now we have a lot of competition...but that's okay too.

Whacko!!! People just flinging the dough about Luke. I’m happy if I find a couple of Goldie’s on a morning out. $5 note you stumbled upon was a beauty. I was wrapped finding a 1932 “one penny” in a local Essendon park last week. Love your vids Luke, keeps me inspired. Cheers Marty from Melbourne.

You have a super opportunity with those $1 and $2 coins! In the USA we get .10 cent and .25 cent coins most common. Pretty rare to find half dollar and even rarer to find $1 coin. 1 dollar is our largest demonization. So I a good day of hitting parks and 6 to 8 hours of hunting a fella might pull $10 to $15.00. I can average $3 to $4 an hour in a hot spot but that's about it. So it's exciting to see how fast your treasures add up! At $2 a pop that adds up fast. Nice job!
We sure are lucky to be able to go out and make near a days wages at some sites detecting here in Australia @goldendredger although it definitely doesn't happen at all sites. And money is being used less in society unfortunately to, so seen it decrease over the years.
The modern coins are still out there though and at some sites...being regenerated all the time.

@@DigItDetecting We are definitely having a replenish problem here in the USA as well. Newer coins or basically last ten years of modern coins we just don't see that many. And parks I have cleaned out last year I go back and hit and there is zero coins. And in my small town I do not have any competition. I cleaned out one tot lot play area with chips. Did this November 22. I went back last week and gave it a try and I got 1 penny! Could not believe it. At least we are in the hobby now and there is still old sites to try for awhile. Keep on keeping on!
Great haul! Had the Nox 900 out about 5 times now at a few different spots. VDI seems to be all over the place on deep targets. I want to follow this discrimination pattern to go after deep silver US coins but worry ill miss them. I may be hunting bad spots but so far I haven't gotten a single solid repeating tone on anything past 4". Love the videos learning a lot watching them. Thanks from PNW US!

Thats ok @wayne armstrong sometimes its best to rewatch again and get a better understanding of what's going on to mate. I know I have trouble watching amd keeping up with the chat on Friday night videos myslef...but then again I've seen my video 16 times before it goes to air😆

I don't particularly like using the phone for viewing or commenting, but it uses up the gigs if I tether it to my laptop, that and having to limit my power usage from solar battery storage, Ive got to be sure my fridge will keep working through the night. If you could do that sort of hunt daily, you wouldn't need a job, a nice way to earn a living! I just realised there is another downside to your job ending, those potential permissions that you came across while delivering goods around the place. It was an ideal job for a bloke like yourself. And I'm sorry that it's closed down on you and I hope that something even better comes along. Ive found more floating cash against fence's than anywhere else, a 50 dollar note was my best find, main Street of town across the road from the supermarket with mid street parking bays inbetween, I happen to do volunteer work at the local resource centre opposite of the store, gardening and handyman stuff, over a few years Ive found more than a hundred bucks against that fence, I feel bad for those who lost it but I won't say no to a few extra dollars. I always tend to keepy eyes open on fence lines, especially if there's a lot of litter gathered against it. Anyway, a great hunt and good value! Cheers Luke!

Featured on this hunt is my green finds bag which my partner got from Ebay one late night whilst browsing. I just love it for the zips and the pinpointer holster👌

It is amazing just how productive some of these country sites are still @MD MELBOURNE however it's definitely not like it was when I first started. This was however a fantastic day out and after 10 months of coins being dropped I'm sure we could still find a few more.

I totally agree @Wayne Phillips a cashless society in my mind just doesn't seem to work. The CFA were doing the rounds in the fire truck collecting donations this week...I hope they had their epftos tap and go with them also😉
