I love all your videos 🙏🏽 I have seen 1000 videos about this and couldnt find an effevtive method for my big rodesian ridgeback 5 months old. Since I started using your tecniques we have been improving. Thanks a lot 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 hugs from Costa Rica.
OMGOODNESS! I've used this technique today. My 8 month old, 70 lb Anatolian shepherd is learning this so FAST! He only jumped on me 2 times since doing this today!. You are a God send!!
I have used Coco’s technique on quite a few dogs at the shelter I volunteer at. I can verify that it does work! Just gotta decide to put in the work. Those dogs I worked with stopped jumping on people, became more desirable, and got adopted!😃
Love this channel already- I am about to start walking an Irish wolf hound who does this, he's 3. Of course he is taller than me when he jumps up. Will this work on him too?
@KOKO GARCIA. use some bass in your voice works wonders !!!! i heard that never give a no ....without a positive yes behind it is that right ? IVE used it and its worked for me but curious to see what you think.
We have an Anatolian Shepherd and standing on his hind legs, he is at least my height (5’7) or more. He runs and jumps, so if I let him make contact enough for me to back him up I won’t have a chance because I’ll be on the ground. What should I do?
Would you be able to make a video showing how to teach a dog the “look at me” command? I need more help being able to get his attention. Most videos showing how to do it involves giving your dog treats during the walks after the command but my dog doesn’t take food during walks.
Yes, helpful. I do wish prong collars were banned for good, since I see damaged tracheas, injured nerves and skin abrasions and cuts. When these destructive collars aren't promoted by trainers it will prevent the everyday pet guardian from literally walking their dog on it and pulling and yanking when practicing training. Thank you for allowing open conversation. You save many lives.
My puppy is always jumping on my back Now she's huge she's over 5 ft when she stands up and jumps on me I don't know what to do It's hard to turn because then she'd be jumping on my front and my other German Shepherd her sister bites me if I turn away
Hi Koco, I have a question about solutions to stop large dogs from jumping on you. I currently am having private sessions with a trainer at my home for leash biting, jumping etc. The trainer told me that when my dog has her leash on and jumps up on me that I need to step on the leash so that she cannot jump. It hasn't helped. What do you think about her instructions? And the other day she introduced a remote collar to use on Maya but she was engaging the collar when introducing a desired behavior and then she would engage it again when Maya didn't do what she wanted. By the end of the hour and a half session she had put her on side submission and held her down for over 20 minutes. That evening when my dogs came in for the night to their crates to eat, Maya didn't touch her food. She has never done that. She loves to eat. But not that night, not a bite. Does it sound like I need to look for a different trainer? Wish I lived closer to you. Any advice is so appreciated and desperately needed Koco. Thanks.
In my never to be humble opinion, you need a new trainer. I am not a trainer but have had large breed dogs for over 50 years and done a lot of training with them. Look for someone else, your dog will thank you for it. Good luck,
0:16 I was watching your video about parvo and I just lost four puppies to it I didn't have the money to save them I don't have a lot of money but people drop off dogs out there where I I live which is way out in the country I had 17 dogs that I've been trying to take care of but now I'm down to 12 because of that parvo I don't have the finances for any of that stuff you were talking about I don't have the money to get any of that stuff then I've got to save my dogs I don't know what else to do I can't afford a vet at all. If there's any way you can help me in this situation I don't have the fluids are the money to buy any of that and I can't lose them do you like my children like I said I lost four this week three of them yesterday and when the day before I didn't know what to do and then all I know what to do I could really really really really really really really use some help today would be so appreciated you would never even know how presented I would be
Quick question .. my dog never jumps on me unless we are playing. However when she does, she’ll start jumping/mounting me. I know I’m creating a lot of excitement but I wanted to know if these methods would apply? I’ve already attempted moving in her space and saying no but she still does it when we play. I’m torn because I want to play just don’t want her to try to mount me every time 😅
Use the leash “pop” method. Be firm with your words and your attitude. Mounting is something that should be corrected immediately. You won’t disrupt the playful side of her by giving her black and white feedback
If you could send me an email address I can send you video and pictures of the dogs and the ones I found comes for people if you ask anybody that knows me they will tell you that the dogs eat before I do but I'm worried about my baby I just don't know what to do
I teach my dogs to jump at me on command so it happens not on own will of the dog he knows the command without the command he gets a no, he understands no pop needed
Knee to the solar plexus works great. Then teach the dog to come up when you say it can.. tap your chest for permission To come up .reward and punishment . Stay down petting reward. Jump on me i will knock you down backwards. I can stop most dogs in 3 minutes or less . You learn this as a young kid. 170 pound dog can knock average size man or woman.
I've watched several videos of yours today, they are detailed, short and to the point,. The best on TH-cam, keep it up 👍

Your replays are very effective in solidifying the timing and manner of correction

Six months later, I’m still using Coco’s techniques. Rescued dogs are still learning how to behave …and are getting adopted!

Tickets get your tickets you love yourself way to much 😂😂
I appreciate that your videos are short (: Thank you!

Hello, what’s better prong collar or shock collar?

Awesome work as always!
Amazing tip x

he knows the command
without the command he gets a no, he understands
no pop needed
i can't even get a collar on my dog ...he won't stay still at all and he won't chill out unless he is outside by himself ....we're a wreck
This shit won’t work on my dog either
What if that bite your pipi if u say no😂
Hahaha Where did you learn this method of walking into dogs that jump on you!?

I have a hard time popping the lead because my dog is a 130# Newfie and is much bigger than me when he jumps up.
