    great video. i'm curious about the railroad in north louisiana around the turn of the century. if you follow the towns of Ruston, Quitman, Jonesboro, Dodson and Winnfield you see how the RR chopped the trees every 6 miles, creating towns along the way. i've done some research but haven't found the RR which facilitated the chopping of this route and which created this string of towns. i'm interested because i'm from Jonesboro, LA

      Thanks for your comments an the Crowell Sawmill in Louisiana. I have been researching and helping the museum for the past 20 years. By your description of linked towns it sounds like the Arkansas Southern which later became know as Little Rock after it became part of the Rock Island. Hope this helps. - Chuck Lind
