This man is a great human being for preserving these magnificent trees forever. His father taught him right. Thank you.

I love big trees and I had no idea. I am from MS but now live in Washington and we cut down all of our biggest trees. In MS we SAVED them. I am so proud!!!!!!!!

If you are talking about WA state, we have several thousand times more old growth big trees remaining than they do in Mississippi...or any other state outside of the Western ones.

What type of cypress are these? I see they put out knees. Are they Bald Cypress? Something else?

It's either a bald cypress or a pond cypress, if I was a betting man, I'd say they are bald cypress trees.

Donating land to the State isnt always the best idea, they may decide to sell it to developers when they have a budget shortfall or build a 4 lane Highway through it

The water is back in this swamp and it is not now possible to walk about in it. Just the boardwalk.

That's how it was here. Plantations with trains and workers cleared out almost every giant left. Then they planted crops after destroying the largest thing's alive on earth

Just say NO to developers, oil and gas moguls and destroyer of our precious trees and environment.

Oil and gas exploration is necessary, but let's protect those ancient cathedral father time trees
