Hej Todderbert, thanks for the bandscan with the RF-919. It's a very interesting radio, and it seems to perform very well. So, we'll see how much the price drops for the Raddy RF-919 and other similar radios of this type. But it is an interesting radio that can handle a lot. Yes, there is definitely competition out there, and more brands have the same type of radio as you also mentioned, Todderbert. A new and upgraded radio from Tecsun that is very interesting is the Tecsun Radio S2200X. According to Tecsun, it should be redesigned on the inside with better reception, if we compare it with Tecsun's old S2000. But the upcoming Tecsun S2200X is an expensive radio. Tecsun Radio Australia currently has it for the price of $660.00, so it is indeed a very expensive radio. We'll have to see how much the price drops on the Tecsun S2200X in the future. Take care Todderbert and have a lovely Sunday. Here where I live, it is raining and very windy outside, but in other words, it's perfect radio weather.
@todderbert Hey, it sounds like we have almost similar weather. I see you have 31 degrees Celsius, but we have much cooler weather in Umeå, Sweden, at 16 degrees Celsius. So, I don't have to sweat, which is very nice. So yes radio time this evening and mine Qodosen DX-286 is on the air love it take care Todderbert and keep cool in the heat.
Eventually, I find I like tuning SSB with this radio versus the Eton Executive Elite, or D-808. The Tecsus will stomp it when it comes to tuning SSB quickly. I will note that when tuning SSB mode on SW that it is dead on frequency with minimal to zero drift.
