Trying to exercise and diet. Such difficulty in walking as my legs feel like concrete! Stretches to strengthen legs or hips - without picking them up would be great!!!
Hello !! I am so happy you are back ……..I have both lymphedema and Lipedema. I LOVE pretty shoes so I understand you . I did eventually find shoes for my feet at Pedors…. I have swelling at the top of my feet so these shoes saved me. Unfortunately they are not pretty, but I need to use them … my first pair was in a 11 EEE.. men’s size . After two years of weekly lymphatic treatments the shoes are too big. I’ve searched in vain for pretty lymphatic shoes …does anyone on here have my situation? Thank you !
SAS shoes are expensive, but hold up well for a long time and for a long time were the only shoes I could wear all day long without my feet hurting really bad (back when I was still working full-time and on my feet a lot). Plus, they are made in the USA.
FYI, another great brand for wider feet is Topo Athletic. Specifically, they make "foot-shaped" sneakers that have a wider toe box. I used to wear Altra (which also feature a wider toe box), but found they were growing increasingly too narrow feeling for my feet. I love the Phantom personally, which has just the right amount of cushion and space, but isn't clunky looking. They also offer a few other styles with high-volume cushion and minimal cushion.
@purevictoria thanks for the great tips! I've worn Altra but never hears of Topo Athletic. Definitely putting it on the list for next time :D Hope you are feeling good!
I lke Merrell shoes. I wear a women's wide but if I buy a men's shoe, i can get away with a regular width. They do carry men's wide too, so that should be like a double wide women's. You just need to adjust the size. i wear an 11 1/2 women's wide or a 10 men's regular. Lots more color options available in the men's regular too. I do trade the insoles in many of my shoes for the Super Feet cooper insoles. They're good for my wide flat feet with a bit of an over pronation issue.
I love the third shoe, especially as it's got a thick sole. Mybtrainers are from new balance with a thick foam sole. I dont walk as much as you do, so im not sure how sturdy they are. But since wearing them i have no more pain in my heals. Ps. Im also super scared of tripping over, think it has something to do with being so estranged from my own body. 😢
You are my hero! I’m struggling to loose weight and I’m seriously working on this daily and focused. Yet I’m not dropping anything. I fluctuate a lb or 2, but I guess that’s normal. I’ve transitioned to Mediterranean lifestyle. My leg vibrator is similar to yours and I love laying my calves on it. I also stand on it for 15 min a day. I use Velcro wraps for reduction below the knees, and a sequence compression pump. Is there anything else you can advise? I can’t walk as much as you do, but I’m working on that. Legs feel concrete filled and knees and thighs are fat. Thanks. R

I am 4’9” and technically wear a size 5… but i usually wear 6W bcuz hardly anyone makes 5WW. Extra wide calf boots only fit if they are lace up, and i still wear a 7 in boots. My calf measures 17.5”. But i struggle more with ankles, so even booties wont fit. Even when i find wide shoes, they are usually only offered in sneakers… i have avoided certain office jobs bcuz i cannot wear the typical shoes like pumps. Even if i size up to a 6W, they slip off heel or ankle strap is too tight
@sturdywoman I don't. I just tried the Hoka 1 shoes, and they reminded me of the ASICS you showed. There are shoes for runners and walking so you can pick what you are wanting to do.
@@sturdywomanI love the Hoka Bondi 8 max cushioning w plenty of toe room. I don’t have wide feet but regular are roomy in toe. Certain colors come in wide. The cushioning will be great for larger girls but still stable platform. I have 3 colors ❤
Merrell has a few casual shoes for women with wide feet. They have a wide toe box too. I wouldn't call them dressy but they do look nice for the office.

I really like Altra running shoes. They come in Wide but also are made with a wide toe box which is important for me
@laineybugger agreed! I've had some great pairs of Altras over the years too. Love the toe box!
My Dr recommended HOKA mostly because of swollen ankles.
Love Hoka Clifton 9. Comes in wide sizes, really fun colors, and feels like walking on a cloud.

I love birkenstock. I wear the clogs in almost all weather ❤
Welcome back! For my long walks I prefer my Nike free running or metcon. Also on cloud shoes are comfortable and nice. Worth trying
Thanks for the great recommendations @janaszymiczkova7874 !
Thank you for being here! I understand what you have shared. It sounds like what I feel like too!
Thank YOU for being here @jotheis1! Big hugs 💖
This was fun and informative. I feel like I have a good place to start for buying a new pair of walking shoes.
I really like the Fitville shoes I just got from Amazon. Extra wide is actually a tiny bit too wide. I love it. Only paid $42!

Hi, I use Altra shoes. They are great however very expensive.
@stacycv I've had quite a few good pairs of Altras too! The big toe box is great for my tailor's bunions.
Hiya Rebekah x thank you for your latest upload x💋
Hi @kamwatson6128! I saw your comment on my last video. So happy to know you are doing so well! High five! Thanks for always watching ❤❤

I’m interested in trying Altra - wider toebox and less drop, but still have cushion and support
Have you tried HOKA? They last longer than most.
@stk7033 I haven't but a lot of people here are recommending them so they are definitely on my wish list for later this year!
Have you tried Hoka shoes? Love them for wide feet as well.
Hi @vickispringer4050! No, I haven't ever tried Hoka. Do you have a specific one you like? If so, please share! 💕

I am looking for dress shoes for those swollen feet days. Does do you have any suggestions?
@catherinelampman9600 I've had good success with Torrid! They have everything from wide flats and heels to wide-calf boots.
thank you I will give them a try.@@sturdywoman

Dressy shoe brands?
