Takeaway for me: Every day in your current job is part of your promotion interview. Every interaction, conversation you do, and the project you work on are evaluated. And this all will be taken into account for your promotion.

How does this only have one comment?!🤔
Thanks for the tips! I think you are right on point with this! I recently applied for a higher position in my company and couldn’t even get the in person interview. After having a conversation with my manager which felt like a mock interview, I realized exactly what you just said, “Every interaction you have is part of that interview.” I think I lost focus and I truly wasn’t ready to apply for that position. I will refocus and keep working on it. Thank you for the video☺️

I'm so glad you liked this video LM! Yes, every interaction is important. It's not impossible your boss was conducting a casual interview with you. But what's important is that from now on, you approach every interaction at work showing the best version of yourself! Thanks so much for watching!

I never really thought about all these yrs bcoz my focus was to earn money and enjoy life. Suddenly, I had an interest last week, why not give it a try. After seeing your internal politic, again I lost interest.

I also never considered trying for a promotion until it was recommended to me by two of my former managers. It is nerve-wracking, but I feel you should also just try for it. It might be worth just trying!

Thanks for this video. Very helpful. I’m a full time dedicated contractor so not technically a direct employee in the location where I work but I’m there everyday. I’m going for an internal role within the company. Would you say your recommendations still apply?
