I also still watch the Parkers. It’s on cable and Netflix. It’s one of those sitcoms that you can put on the background while you’re doing something because you seen every episode multiple times and never miss a beat when you sit down to watch ya part.

She made more than the cast of Friends on season 1 and 2, then they made 75k per episode and increased more and more over 10 yrs. Their show had 10 times more viewers than her show. She says that she was dumb and didn’t know anything, she was making over 1 million a year just from one show. I would think you’d hire someone that could get you a better salary, even at my first job at Popeyes I’d know something is up if I didn’t get a raise. Especially if I did my job well.
The chemistry, and synergy in the conversation is unreal. Beautiful!

"The Parkers" aired 110 episodes on the UPN network from 1999 to 2004 and never exceeded a viewer market share greater then season 3's 4.26 million (01-02) "The Parkers" averaged 3.24 million viewers per season over its 5 seasons span. The now defunct UPN (1995-2006) network was sold off in 2006 with debt exceeding $1B.
Please illustrate to me how Mo’Nique constructed this $800M evaluation (let alone $2B). "The Parkers" would have needed to gross $7.2M dollars in advertisement revenue per episode to achieve this. With such a minuscule viewer market share, 30 second advertisement allotments for this show would have to exceed cost routinely associated with the Super Bowl.
All this from a company (UPN) that ultimately went bankrupt and was sold-off....math ain't mathin.
It's been on air on other platforms even after it left UPN. It's on Netflix now for over four years

With average viewership at 3.24 million per season during its entire broadcast tenure "The Parkers," is not considered by industry standards a successful show. Netflix and other syndication networks would have to allocate leasing/licensing budgets in the $10's of millions to make Mo'Nique's statement remotely factual.
For real..so trying say not making no money from being on these platforms...I would like to know what they are getting now in residuals ..have to be getting something

The Parker’s is literally my #1 comfort show! Anywhere I can watch/stream it I do! Mainly on Netflix, & Pluto tv. For them to try an convince the STARS of the show that no money was made from said show, is ridiculous!!!! Pay them and the cast what they deserve.

The Parkers wasn't in syndication, by her own wording (100 episodes) until season 5. She says 3 years. That's the first thing. But right off the bat, her numbers don't add up.

season 5 of The Parkers she was getting paid $55k which avg 3.3 million households total watching an episode, 5th season of Friends their cast was getting paid $100k per episode with 100 million households watching in usa, and 2.2 million watching overseas watching the 100th episode avg around 30 million households watching per episode.
So either the Friends cast was underpaid, or Mo'nique was overpaid.

1:30 wait, 1st she said the parkers got to syndication in 3yrs and now she's saying that in 5yrs the parkers only got to 110 episodes? That doesn't even make any sense..Why lie about that? In 3 seasons the Parkers did 66 episodes, so no she wasn't promoting the parkers being in syndication in year 3.

Because Syndication takes 100 typically. But the show was so popular it went into Syndication early. But the heads knew that by the 2nd season. They never told them until season 5 ended. Funny enough Season 5 was the shortest season.
They deserved more for the Parkers, especially when we look at the cast of Friends who mad 1 mil per episode. To the point of her auditioning: Halle admitted that despite her winning an Oscar, she still has to audition for roles.

No it's not that. She didn't feel that way. The industry dictated that fact & it didn't pan out for her. Because look at everyone else who won an Oscar. Their roles were guaranteed. Her's wasn't because she declined an ask to promote something for free. Now the thing with that is wasn't obligated to promote oversees. They asked her once she declined, simple. They asked again she declined again, simple. They asked a 3rd time trying to push the issue, her husband asked well you want her to do this so much, will she be paid? They said of course not and then he said she won't do it. My thing is if someone's asking you to do something more than once when you've already said no, respectfully without mentioning money until the final time, you'd feel some type of way too.
