I have some listings I accidently deleted out of my unsold items folder and was searching to find out which ones they were by typing in keywords which takes more time. This will help me resolve that problem a lot faster.
I'm glad that I was able to help! I started coding my items with SKU's about a year after I started selling and it helped me so much. It would be really hard to scale an eBay store without a SKU system. Plus, having the ability to search by SKU is really helpful. I wish you the best of luck in recovering your deleted listings!

When searching through your SKUs, the search box can be a little moody. I’ve found that it’s very case sensitive. If you don’t type in the SKU exactly, it doesn’t show many times. Try playing around with your SKU codes and try refreshing my your browser a few times. If that doesn’t work, I’d try calling eBay to see if anything on the website is down or if there’s anything else that they can do to assist. Best of luck, Justin

Yes, there's a way to do this. Go into your seller hub and click on your active listings tab. When you see the table with all of your active listings. In that table, you should see a column that says "Custom Label (SKU)." If the field isn't there on your account, click on the "Customize Table" hyperlink and check the box to include SKU's in your active listings table. Once it's active, you can click on the header that says "Custom Label" and all of your listings that don't have sku's yet will show. You can also sort your listings by sku using the dropdown option at the top. Finally you can also add your sku's to listings directly from this table by hovering over the listing cell that you want to input. I hope this helps, but if you have any questions feel free to ask. ~ Justin
I am selling on EBAY, but is the "STORE" a thing these days~something extra you need to pay for~ or is it just what you refer to as your selling platform? Do you need "a Store" to get the SKU tools? Thx! ps...Yeah I just looked again and see no CUSTOM LABEL area.
You can if you'd like. Personally, I don't go that far into detail as the items that I sell typically are easy to find in a bin or tub. However, I do sell a lot of postcards, and those I do number since it makes them easier to find when shipping. It's really up to you as the seller to determine what works best for you. My biggest tip is to think of how you want your inventory to look 10 year from now, because your store will grow substantially if you keep at it. Plus, the more organized you become, the more profitable your business will be. I wish you the best with your storage! ~ Justin

Great question! It’s only visible to you and the customer will not see it. You can see the sku field in you active listings and after the sale as well which makes inventorying your items a breeze. I hope this helps!
@@CoachCommerce How did you make your letters so big? It looks like you have full sheet self-adhesive labels and you typed the biggest font on the labels....right?
@@Chicago48 Yes, you are correct! I use half sheet adhesive labels for shipping all of my ebay orders. I just created a Microsoft Word document and bumped the font size up to fill up a sheet of paper. Then, I just used of my shipping labels to print it on and then I stick it to the box. Simple, but it gets the job done and makes the boxes easy to identify. Here are the labels that I use: www.ebay.com/itm/151972468114
The app is far from perfect. It’s great for listing and taking photos, but there are lot of feature that you can’t use within the app. You’ll find out if you use seller hub with a desktop they will be tons of features that you’ll never find in the app.

Yes you need a store to use this feature.
So you don’t have to give each individual item its own number as well? Ex A-10 being box A and the tenth item.
