@ exactly! And at the end of her statement, i knew more about her and her life than about her daughter. It was no victim statement. It was an autobiography.
my deepest condolences to her family and her husband..
so heart wrenching..
Doesn’t this awful mother just want the money of her dead daughter’s life insurance policy and she is challenging the validity of the marriage so the husband can’t get any money?
you are corect
This judge is all business. Great judge.

She is so off-putting. I’m sorry for her loss but that’s about it.
She is a classic narcissist! Toxic woman.
What a terrible thing to say.
@@girlfromsouth214 she’s a terrible person. Look into her and what she’s done in respects to her daughter’s death. Now that’s terrible.
She is 💯 a narcissist. I am sorry she lost her daughter however she is so out of touch and the way she treated her daughter’s husband after the death is disgusting.
What is wrong with Samantha's mother?! Her daughters marriage didn't matter?! Doesn't she know what Samantha would feel like hearing that?! She should be embracing Aric and thanking him for making her daughter so happy in the brief time they had! R.I.P. Samantha. Blessings on you and your husband.
🕊💜💐💜🕊⚖️🕊
The mother said Samantha's marriage didn't matter?
She has been fighting to have control over Samantha's life insurance and other benefits since her death. She is claiming the marriage wasn't legal because the marriage license had not been filed with the state before she died. Aric has made a settlement offer to her and she declined. She wants it all. @@kellyjelly2465 Jamie and family have dysfunction. I’m glad she doesn’t get her blankie and I guess stuffed animal she was crying about in jail phone calls. The parents speaking to her like a toddler is part of what has caused her to not grow up and accept responsibility like an adult should.
I was following and supporting the mother until she went after the husband in court for money even when he was willing to split it with her. I believe it was a settlement from where he sued the bars that served the defendant for over serving.

Her jail calls with her dad are very telling and judge def considered that when she gave out the 25 years sentence!
Still, should have been more time. Should not have been concurrent.
I cannot comprehend how Jamie is not crying during the victims families impact statements. If I had done that, I don’t know if I could live knowing I killed a woman and injured 3.

I remember her asking her father or someone on a jailhouse call, why did this have to happen to me. After listening to the impact statements nothing happened to her, but her. Prison will make her grow up whether she wants to or not. Just think of the times when she drove drunk that no one knows about, life is such a game to some people.
Too bad they didnt put her under the jail… the sentences should have been consecutive at the very least but really she should b in jail the rest of her miserable life… one less drunk off the street… im sure she thought she was going to skate - look no further than the disgusting disrespectful calls with her crazy father… not an ounce of remorse - not enough time - not enough time!!!
I thought sentences that ran concurrently meant they ran all together - combined. That meant she would have gotten 40 years !
I can't even imagine never having more than a few hours of believing your gonna spend the rest of your life with someone and then this happens. Sure it was accident but her actions after makes her look so much worse. She thought her daddy could save her and that's all she cared about was herself

Addiction isn't a disease. It's a series of selfish choices. Stop coddling addicts.
Addiction is a physical dependence first and a mental dependence second.
Addiction is a disease. Getting into your car and driving drunk was a choice.
Actually it IS a disease. But the responsibility for treating the disease lies fully on the addict.

25 years is an absolute joke. She should rot for life. This is just another instance of how broken sentencing laws are for this type of murder. And don't start with the DUI Manslaughter stuff. The choice to be hammered and drive, and having that choice result in the death of someone else is 100% murder. She should have gotten life.
Horrible audio.
I hate concurrent sentences 😡
So do i! It’s unfair and makes light of those crimes. If anything take a little time off those crimes but make them consecutive! Criminals know it won’t matter so they make the crimes even worse assuming some charges will be dropped or be concurrent
Doesn't matter if she is an alcoholic or not; she chose ti drive that night. Also, alcoholism is an excuse for bad behavior...who knows if she actually even is one. This wasn't 'trouble.' She no doubt drove drunk countless times before. A close friend of mine was killed by a drunk drive at age 27. He made it through Vietnam but not through the actions of someone who was drunk. His son had just turned 3 weeks prior so he grew up never knowing his father. There is NO excuse for drinking and driving.
That poor husband. The survivors guilt 😢
Unfortunately killing while under the influence does not carry the appropriate sentences. That’s the case here in California, I don’t know about the rest of the states.
I can’t believe she only got 25 years she took a whole LIFE that ALONE worth FAR more than 25 years not even counting all the injuries and trauma she caused…this is not justice at all
The law only allows for max of 25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When did she take accountability? I’m confused
Yes she got 25 years but on average she'll only serve 48% of that and the victims families will have to sit through parole hearings in about 10 years is my guess.
