In Florida, there is NO parole, period. Sarah knew she was facing a LIFE sentence if found guilty. She was offered 15 years in an plea deal that made me furious!!! Still, they offered her 15 years for a guilty plea. She refused. As of the sentencing, she had spent 5 years in jail already, so the 15 year deal would have meant really only 10 years. THEN, in Florida, the inmates get 3 days of "good time" for every month of incarceration. So, Sarah would have received 3 years of good time, making her actual time spent in prison ONLY 7 years. SEVEN!! Sarah Boone would have been out of prison in 2032. Her own worst enemy, always!!!

An utterly disgraceful display by Sarah, one last time. Love how the judge didn't say anything more than the minimum when he sentenced her. No admonishing her which would be a waste of breath. He probably thought way too much of the court's time had been wasted by her, and Jorge's family deserved to finally see her put away for good. To think she could have actually served only about 8 years with a plea deal - as the prosecutor made sure to remind everyone about. Gee, 8 years, or life - what to do?

In Florida, there is NO parole, period. Sarah knew she was facing a LIFE sentence if found guilty. She was offered 15 years in an plea deal that made me furious!!! Still, they offered her 15 years for a guilty plea. She refused. As of the sentencing, she had spent 5 years in jail already, so the 15 year deal would have meant really only 10 years. THEN, in Florida, the inmates get 3 days of "good time" for every month of incarceration. So, Sarah would have received 3 years of good time, making her actual time spent in prison ONLY 7 years. SEVEN!! Sarah Boone would have been out of prison in 2032. Her own worst enemy, always!!!
