      I'm a 57 yr old woman and I think I'm reasonably attractive lol. I'm going solo on a cruise next summer and I plan on packing a few condoms. While I won't be actively looking for some "action" and will be careful abt my safety and aware of my surroundings, not be getting carelessly inebriated, etc, I'm single wth no children and I'm sure there are some nice, attractive men in the same situation as me lol. If two consenting adults wanna have fun, go for it!!! But be responsible, most definitely....

    Just found your channel while I am on a trip in Europe (mostly France) for a month. I brought my Fjalraven Kanken and a bum bag. I put the items I want on the flight, bus, train in it. That way I am not disturbing my neighbors while I get items out of my backpack under the seat.
    Funny thing is I had put most of my clothes in one of the stuffable neck pillows….which I left in my car before going to the airport. Here I am France with a pair of pants, 2 shirts, and underclothes. Other than a swimsuit I will need for the beach in Nice, I am doing of with what I have.

      @Organizing-TV  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That is clever! I love bum bags too, they are so handy. I never tried having one on my on a plane, but that would be interesting to try out.
      Yikes, I'm sorry to hear about the clothes! But it sounds like you're making it work just fine. I lost half my clothes in India last year too (long story), and had two sets of clothes left, I rotated between the two each day with one on me, and the other one drying up after washing it in the sink 😂 But it worked out just fine as well.

    I’m going personal item only on a trip around the world next month and this will definitely help me with fitting everything in my bag. Especially the electronics as I’m bringing quite a bit with me. My backpack doesn’t have locks but I have found the small double-carabiners are great for making zippers harder for thieves to open quickly, but easy for me to open when needed.

    I love your video, most minimalist packers have a personal item and small cabin bag. I'm a girly girl and like to have different clothes, makeup etc. I collect samples of shampoo, face cream, foundation in sachets to reduce the space small bottles take up. I put eyeshadow and blush into tiny ziplock bags so I don't need to bring a pallet of makeup which are bulky and can be heavy.
    I use a small, microfibre kit Chen sized cloth instead of a microfibre towel as it takes up less space. I still manage to pack with a Ryanair size bag for domestic, European and international trips. It makes life so much easier. If I need a larger amount of toiletries, I make an online ore-order for pickup in the boots store in the terminal I will be flying from. I use a small hotel soap in a tiny ziplock instead of shower gel. I sew a few internal pockets into my jacket in case I need to carry extra bits. I sometimes bring a lightweight fold up bag, it's great for shopping or as an alternative day bag so I can easily leave my main bag in the hostel. Instead of thick flip-flops, I bring lightweight pedicure flip-flops to wear in the shower. Putting a plastic bag on the ground in the shower is an alternative. Make sure you don't cover the drain hole.
    I bring a few blister plasters, ziplock bags and a sharpie with duct tape on it (this will be confiscated flying out of certain countries, do your research). I have had issues with border security as they consider it a red flag if you don't have a suitcase.

    • @Organizing-TV
      @Organizing-TV  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow! Thanks for sharing all these great tips. I love the idea of adding some duct tape to a pen, as there is always a need for some.
      I also used to sew extra pockets to the inside my shorts in the past when I traveled to less safe areas so that I could keep my money, passport, and phone safe. Then I'd carry a dummy wallet with a small amount of cash in my regular pockets.
      I love the idea of adding extra pockets to my jacket to keep important or very delicate things safe

    • @Organizing-TV
      @Organizing-TV  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yikes! That makes things quite tricky. One time I was over the maximum weight for my carryon bag and went into the bathroom and put on 4 layers of clothes to get within the limit. Something like that could work in a pinch to thin down the bag, but it is obviously not something I'd do frequently 😂 It got quite hot especially as I was in south India!

But I’ll also bring shorts and t shirts since Vietnam can get very hot

    When buying merino wool, check the percentage on the label, as some companies are adding in larger proportions of synthetics like nylon which can change the durability and comfort of the product. I look for anything over 80% and I have never had issues with the fabric degrading.

    • @Organizing-TV
      @Organizing-TV  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is interesting! I have had the exact opposite experience. Pure merino wool (especially underwear) seems to fall apart really quickly if it is pure merino wool and I wear it during activities etc

I will have two small children hands to hold when I go pee. I must leave it behind I guess. It takes too much room. I'm only bringing one back pack. Sigh.

    Your carry on backpack seems extremely small. Is that because of the cheaper airlines like Ryanair size, or you just want a very small one. On regular airlines like Air Canada or British Airways, etc, space for the personal item for the bag beneath the seat can hold a bigger bag.

    • @Organizing-TV
      @Organizing-TV  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's correct :) This bag size should be allowed on most of the budget airline flights. Of course, if you're going on flights that allow for a bigger bag than this, then that's an option. But this is really everything you need unless it is very cold where you're going

    one pair of shoes?

    • @Organizing-TV
      @Organizing-TV  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Generally that's how I do it, yes. You can get an extra pair in there if the ones you're packing in the bag are small, and you're willing to sacrifice some of the other things to make room for them. Alternatively you can hook a pair on to the outside like with the caps but that presents it's own set of problems...
