I have really enjoyed your talks about parenting. And this one was great...until you had such an issue with doing "devotions". I don't see where that is any more weird than any of the other things you do together as a family! (It's okay to be weird or be called weird!) Please don't hear me chewing anyone out. Yes, we do each get to choose how we will do things in our families. And I'm not fussing at anyone who has not yet made it to that sort place. But if we're going to fill our children with God and His Word, why are we not doing "devotions" (or whatever you want to call it). Do something simple and easy. There are so many excellent books out there. It might take 5 minutes if you want to keep it that short. It just seems like you're complaining about it. Take that time daily to further speak life into your child. It could be around a meal, and create more conversation if you'd like.
