Can you imagine what this day must have been like for him? Months before he was going nowhere with his singing career, then he had the stressful Idol competition, effectively a crash course of the music industry, suddenly he's a household name and it all culminated in this night, moments away from finding out who won and in the middle of it all practically auditioning to be the front man of Queen. Maybe he didn't know that that's what he was doing but Brian and Roger said later that they only went on the show to meet Adam and see what he could do. What a defining night in Adam's life this was. It's incredible to be able to look back at it like this.

What I love is that in the last few years Adam Lambert actually went on tour with Queen in place of Freddie Mercury (RIP, love you 💗). I went to one of the concerts and it was great! He was so wild and crazy, just like Freddie would have been. Of course, he can't take his place, but if I could have anyone singing instead of Freddie, I think it would be him. Such a great singer and performer. He really put on a good show.

The amazing part is that Brian May actually heard Adam singing on AI and asked AI's producers if they could perform with him. So this performance was no coincidence. Brain was blown away by Adam and knew he could be their frontman from the very beginning.
Wow, is that really true? I just watched them yesterday live in Germany, and I must say as a long time Queen fan, Adam did great. He doesn't attempt to immitate to the fullest Freddie, but he gets the songs done very very well and I applaud him for that. I heards that short after this performance they called him to be part of the group, but wasn't aware that Brian actually asked to be part of this last song. Amazing!

A wonderful full circle moment for Adam now to be touring North America, Japan and Korea with Queen, after Idol, MVA Awards in Belfast that was outstanding and his 6 concert tour with them last summer in London, Kiev, etc. Queen saw the star quality of Adam's powerful, majestic voice and electric stage presence and now a new generataion will hear their timeless music and as Freddie said, "The Show Must Go On. Kris Allen has a very pleasing voice and he and Adam were great friends, but Adam was a seasoned entertainer before Idol and just had the magic, as time bore out. Both exceptionally nice guys, but totally different, appealing to different types of fans. Adam raised the bar for Idol and no one has come close to his abilities. So happy for his success!
Adam sings the hardest part of the songs. Judges kept their eyes fixed on him. Brian May’s eyes speaking to Kris: Nice Karaoke! While you could easily see how impressed the band was when Adam was singing. Lol 😂 Adam took American Idol show that season to another level made em money. But he still got robbed. Imagine the trauma he had to go through after all that. Kudos to Lambert!
I don’t think he suffered any trauma. He emerged the star of the show, immediately went out hard after his own career, became an international star, sold out worldwide tours, made great very successful albums and got the Queen gig, while Kris had one song and then just faded away.

Today 5/20/15 is 6th anniversary of when Adam Lambert sang with Queen and this led to his fronting Queen starting in fall of 2011. Congrats Adam you deserve everything you have worked for.

The amazing part is that Brian May actually heard Adam singing on AI and asked AI's producers if they could perform with him. So this performance was no coincidence. Brain was blown away by Adam and knew he could be their frontman from the very beginning.

Wow, is that really true? I just watched them yesterday live in Germany, and I must say as a long time Queen fan, Adam did great. He doesn't attempt to immitate to the fullest Freddie, but he gets the songs done very very well and I applaud him for that. I heards that short after this performance they called him to be part of the group, but wasn't aware that Brian actually asked to be part of this last song. Amazing!

In 2022, I hope that Brian or Roger can make one last Queen song with Adam before they retire. Not sure if they still have the creativity joice in them. Love Brian's love ballade like Show must go on or too much lova can kill you.
Spike heard Adam first and then contacted Brian and Roger, at least that is how I understood Spike’s recollection.
There is a documentary where Brian says that he heard about Adam during American idol and they wanted Queen to meet Adam and maybe like test the waters. So this is in a way Adam’s audition to Queen, just look at Brian, I mean he hugged Adam at the end and spoke to him totally ignoring the other singer, cause he came to perform with Adam 👍🏻

Because he kept himself back int he vocals, ESPECIALLY during the high parts of the chorus; he knew he couldn't get there, and if he did he'd fuck it, so he just let Adam take it and PRETEND he was pushing into the mic, when he was holding right back. Fuck that loser.

A wonderful full circle moment for Adam now to be touring North America, Japan and Korea with Queen, after Idol, MVA Awards in Belfast that was outstanding and his 6 concert tour with them last summer in London, Kiev, etc. Queen saw the star quality of Adam's powerful, majestic voice and electric stage presence and now a new generataion will hear their timeless music and as Freddie said, "The Show Must Go On. Kris Allen has a very pleasing voice and he and Adam were great friends, but Adam was a seasoned entertainer before Idol and just had the magic, as time bore out. Both exceptionally nice guys, but totally different, appealing to different types of fans. Adam raised the bar for Idol and no one has come close to his abilities. So happy for his success!

Adam sings the hardest part of the songs. Judges kept their eyes fixed on him. Brian May’s eyes speaking to Kris: Nice Karaoke! While you could easily see how impressed the band was when Adam was singing. Lol 😂 Adam took American Idol show that season to another level made em money. But he still got robbed. Imagine the trauma he had to go through after all that. Kudos to Lambert!

I don’t think he suffered any trauma. He emerged the star of the show, immediately went out hard after his own career, became an international star, sold out worldwide tours, made great very successful albums and got the Queen gig, while Kris had one song and then just faded away.
I will always believe that Adam's fate was sealed right then. How could he win AND tour with Queen.

RaSy Wash He did not loose, they ( establishment) knew, that if he became "American Idol"-- he would just be that an American Idol. That way he is THE WORLD IDOL! So that's why he was not awarded that title. It would limit him. That way he could spread his wings to infinity! Nuff Said.
