Visited Mission Creek Park several years ago when I was a tourist. I do recall people panning there. And bears, several bears :) :)

I feel your pain. Tranquille used to ba a very nice and quiet place to get away from the crowds and find shiny in every pan. Now that our secret is out of the bag, its crowded, full of trash and gold is harder and harder to find. Price of progress is paradise lost.
Dan, havn't watched in awhile but been watching for years. You actually got me into panning for gold and taught me how through your videos. where i'm at in central ohio is right where the glacier stopped and started retreating during the last ice age, we have nice gold here, NOT like Canada but good gold, I just want to thank you man, watching you changed my life and i'm sorry i forgot about youtube for awhile but i'm back and it's nice to see you still killing it, and teaching others the art.

The problem with that is every Province does it differently, and no clue about what happens down in the United States.

As a real estate broker in Texas, I can tell you that every state in the US has different laws. Very easy to look online and find out. Just search some key words. Only go to the websites that are local or state. You can tell by the URL. I can tell you that the laws are not written very clearly. You will need interpretation from an attorney to be certain that you are operating legally anywhere in the US when prospecting.

Dan I am shocked people didn’t flow down with you when you were looking for gold. I have never gold pained besides when I was like 7-8 years old on a trip with my school. Now in my 40’s I would of at least moved away from that spot if I seen you move lol

I was in Mission creak in august! I found a big beautiful lava rock with a bunch of holes. I will be back in spring to pan!

That's still a hell of a lot better gold than anything I'll ever find here in Yuba County California on the Bear River below the Camp Far West Reservoir's Dam. Everything but one tiny little 1/4 grain of rice piece that I've found has been fly poop... I'm guessing it goes through the hydro-electric generators and gets ground into ultra powder.. or that's the only stuff light enough to not just drop out at the bottom of the dam.. Really makes you wish you could get a suction dredge right down at the base of the dam inside the lake. (especially knowing just how much was recovered in the Bear River Basin in the 1800's to early 1900's)

I think that the real reason you went off was to be able to show some gold to the folks. If you stayed where they were at then the chance of getting several flakes was remote. Glad to see your dad is still doing good despite the injury he had a few days ago.

Have you ever tried using your bucket as a sitting position? They are actually very comfortable. I grew up in construction and used them quite a bit. Love your videos
I grew up hunting with my grandpa and couldn’t imagine the amount of hours I spent sitting on a 5 gallon bucket!

I think this pan throws gold away..because that way most of the gold goes to the Vouta River..you have to pan with a big pan just like the one in Brazil
