...I was Today Years Old when I learned that cooperative boardgames was a thing. (This sounds so much better than either Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, or Risk.)
Oh man, then you should expand your board game selection, my friend (I hate Risk and Catan). Check out Mysterium, Forbidden Island/Forbidden Desert, Gloomhaven, Dead of Winter, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Arkham Horror. (As well as Pandemic and Spirit Island, obviously)
I didn't, and you obviously have some great knowledge unbeknownst to me because I cannot comprehend how you were able to I interpret best game ever as most boring
8:32, Ah yes that desire is wonderful. Like the time I was playing catan with my two younger siblings and my uncle, and I got the monopoly card twice in a row. Taking all of the cards for bricks and one other resource. Or when I somehow manage to win even when my brother rallies the other players against me.
I love Pandemic! My friends and I did the Legacy Season 1 our senior year of College. We all focused our way through it and determined Medic and Dispatcher can be monstrous.
I'm in Italy and we have been in lock down for more than two weeks already, to everyone that's just beginning the quarantine I recommend to be very aware of false informations that can cause panic, but also be understanding of everyone, it's not an easy situation and we don't know what other people are going through. Keep that in mind and be safe, we will make it! Also thank you Tim, distraction is needed and your content is great as usual
I know this is an older video but I love pandemic so much. I’m a med student so I love it even more from being a science nerd haha. Seeing those green cards even in video gives me a mini heart attack. Thanks for making this review and talking about the expansion 😊
I can confirm that this game is amazing, I get bossy when I play it though because I'm better at long term strategy than the rest of my family and they feel like they aren't the ones doing their own turns XD I would totally play by myself because it's one of those games that just happens to work as such, but yeah as a self proclaimed Strategist I approve of this game, luck has a role to play but it's small enough that it really makes it interesting. I don't have the expansion yet though.
How dare you say you are bored with Catan!!!! XD tbh I get what you're saying about the expansions though, Traders and Barbarians didn't really change how you play. I would say Seafarers did, and probably Cities and Knight, though I haven't played it yet.
I live for these bad close up camera pans. Seriously though, Tim, stop holding things up to the cameraperson at weird angles and upside down and in spots they can't properly hold the camera steady and... Yeah. Be nice to your camera operators, people.
If you just want to hear my thoughts on the On the Brink expansion, skip to 9:08! How is your nation dealing with the coronavirus? Stay nerdy!
~ Tim
New Zealand is so good at social isolating that it isolated itself out of existence.
“New Zealand is in fact a myth”
as a New Zealander, i can confirm
Woah, that's something that new Zealand and my life have in common
In the mobile game Plague Inc, New Zealand sometimes survives by closing all ports, airports, and harbors early on.
Sometimes.
Ikr that happened to me before
As an Australian, I can confirm, New Zealand is just a low tide sand bar.

Came here to recommend Forbidden Island as a great cooperative board game! In my heart I knew it had already been recommended.
How dare you diss risk, it is the greatest board game ever...
@@lintonfor4035 Sure, if by "greatest" board game ever, you mean "Most boring" board game ever. Also, nice job liking your own comment.

I was trying for like ten minutes to figure out Tim's real name before realizing I had his book sitting right next to me.
The rudeness! How dare they omit New Zealand! Great review - love the atmospheric sound effects.

Loved the message at the end. It's good to see people take this shit seriously. Hope you, your gf, your friends, and your family are safe.

New Zealand does not, in fact, exist.
-A New Zealander, 2020
I like this type of video, nice opening 😂
I love this game and have played it several times in the last two weeks simply because of the irony 😂

Is the original game included in the on the brink expansion? Or is it an addition to the original box?
You actually made me want to play Pandemic again x) I didn't think that was possible. Thanks for the video, stay safe!
the mention of that law degree sounded oddly specific. and there was vinegar in those words. regrets?

Great review+
The elves went west to the mythical land of New Zealand.
A worldwide virus across the globe? This is the best game to play during the coronavirus outbreak.
Anyone else want a Plague Inc. and Pandemic crossover game? Like a versus version of Pandemic.
Never mind, On The Brink has us covered.
Kind of…
I was hoping to get to play as the disease with Plague Inc. style mechanics.
@@SCP.343 you could modify it by combining the bioterrorist and red cards so you can actually play the cards
I remember playing Pandemic with my best friend a couple of years ago. It was my favorite 😊
in fact, a myth, we are
We already had the game and we love it
this is so fun, love you 🥰🥰
We played this last night.
Crazy that this game was made in 2008.

The only downside i hv for this series is setup n clean up. What a pain
You need to check out pandemic legacy if you haven't already. At least Season 1 enhances the experience so much.
It looks like a fun game too bad I can't get it
No New Zealand on the map... And I thought Canadians had it bad.
Golly.
Can you upload more httyd theries 💜😀💕

I'm pretty sure Jacinda Ardern is the last bastion of competent leadership
As so ineptly demonstrated by Gladys in 2021 / that’s a resounding “ yes”!
Lol.
