- Check out this awesome video featuring a ride through of Trimper's Haunted House in 1991, only three years after the second story was added which included installation of Bill Tracy gags from Ghost Ship at defunct Ocean Playland Park on 65th street. In this video, you can see several longlost stunts including the Wolfman, Body in the Cellar, Wine Cellar, Mermaid, Crab, Attic Stairs, and Mad Scientist. You can also see the original location for the Birthday Party before it was moved to the downhill area. It's awesome to see how fresh the paint is on some of these effects! Credit for this video goes to Chris Evans, historian of all things retro and nostalgic. He allowed Trimper's Haunted House Online to show this exclusively. Visit www.ochh.net for more.
So glad this video exists, its great to see the ride with all the original stunts. Thank you for documenting it all
Im 50 and been riding my whole life. Miss some of the original stuff.
I love how in 1991 it sounds like the ride is OLD with all the creaking and banging and hydraulic sounds, yet in 2023, those creaks and bangs and pfffts are all exactly the same 😊...this ride is the best and I never leave OC with riding it!
I agree! This ride is the best
The creaking and all those old noises adds more feel to the experience 🎃
Some people seem to not shit themselves but to me it's always scary and unexpected
@@waitingforthenight96 no matter how many times I ride it, it's still a bit scary for me😁
What a classic ride. My cousins and I did this every year for 35 years
I'm 24 pushing 25. Crazy to think my parents were around my age when this was filmed. Some friends of mine have been on this ride but it's still on my list
This video was also filmed the same year the new sound effect for the train tunnel, both original and 1991 remastered version of the train horn can be heard on the Trimper's Haunted House Online.
I love the horn sound in the train scene. Sounds just like it in There Goes a Train.
How is it that a 1991 video of this ride is clearer than any video from the 2000's?
No bull shit
What kind of 4k camcorder did they use

great video!
Awesome! I loved the Mermaid spinning around. And I noticed the car slammed through some bang doors right before the Train tunnel? I remember Brandon saying something about doors in the Train tunnel but was never sure what he meant!
This is my favorite Dark Ride. RIP Bill Tracy
I remember when you enter into the second hallway from the outside track there used to be a giant spider on the right side of the room
Nice!!
3:54 The Headslinger!! :D
Looks different from today looks way scarier and fun :c now it’s funny
been on so many of these. still the scariest one ever lol
The old mill still had it's sound effects, the reason why it went silent because the original tape broke before they were able to add digital sound repeaters.
Was this before the dungeon scene?

The Knitwit is my favorite
