- Piccolo received some interesting buffs and I wanted to make a video explaining them !
Some of his weakness are alleviated with these changes, like neutral game and combo confirmations.
I'm glad that he got some love, he is very underplayed but pretty cool character.

Piccolo's scary now. I can't believe he has Ultimate Gohan's homing backhand special now.
Not to mention j.H sending people into tumble. Such a unique and interesting change to me.

The only buff I'm not 100% stoked about is the jH. Piccolo is actually the character I can do the most TODs with which also happened to involve his jH at mid-fullscreen. I hope they'll update it so you can do the old jH if you hold it and the new jH if you just tap or the other way around. I like options. Stances have always been my favorite mechanic in fighting games so when they let you choose between 2 options like that effectively its a half stanced set of moves which I really enjoy.

Piccolo is the new protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise, they had to show him some love. Now we just need Orange Piccolo. 👍👍
Honest to god there's at least 50 characters that could work in this game and the modders are probably working on stuff like Mercenary Tao, or General Blue, Launch, and possibly, Androids 13, 14, and 15
(I REALLY WANNA SEE ANDROID 13, NOT SUPER ANDROID 13 BUT THE TRUCKER HAT ONE)
It's also nice to have seen how far piccolo's come, from a evil tyrant to someone who truly has a family and friends now.
This is actually wild, DBFZ is pretty much a new game after this patch.
As a forever Piccolo main this makes me happy

dbfz recent balance patches have been really strange. instead of finding intuitive ways to buff the characters by subverting their weaknesses and giving them unique new tools it just seems like they’re buffing their broken options more and letting them skip neutral
But Piccolo's weakness was his poor neutral, and inability to get meterless knockdowns.
I feel that overall but specifically piccolo this is a fantastic buff. Despite it looking wonky.

The re-jump combos are sick id love to use piccolo now but im horrible at rejumps ill have to find some type of new combo
As someone who also sucks at rejumps, Piccolo's is really easy. All you have to do is delay the jM after the superdash.

Be very careful when using 214L/214M in neutral. It's a good move but if they react or see it coming, you can easily get 2Hd and killed.

can someone PLEASE explain how he is getting the dr at 1:19, i dont think it as simple as dr after the j.h as the dr isnt coming out in time for me...
He still had his second jump so the combo ends with LMH > jump > DR

Do Vegeta Blue i can´t do the big bang cancel into another big bang
you can only do it from the ground and only by starting by doing M, M, M (medium hit autocombo), then you do the big bang input, and you finish by pressing special
