I enjoy the podcasts so much. They are so "off the cuff" that they are believable. Its also so great to see how you (Mike) and Chris support and promote other TH-camrs. It's certainly good for their channels, but they are also good to reciprocate. Ryan is apparently a good guy, with a lot on his plate. Thanks to him for investing time into his channel. As well as that time invested by all of you ! THANKS Guys !!
I should sit down with my dad and record some of the stories. He was a crew chief on B52s in Thailand and flew over Nam quite a few times - when the pilots were nervous after repairs were done. He has a story about landing in a C130 and having to get his team to install a fuel bladder in the bomb bay of a B52 that had taken damage to all it's fuel tanks and couldn't be fueled. They did it under mortar fire while the VC were trying to destroy the bird. You guys do great work, it's been extremely interesting seeing Mr Digg's operation - and something that needs to be shared more so people can see what can happen when you reuse C&D debris. It's been eye opening to say the least. I hope everyone is doing well, and I hope this year is a great year.
After watching your and LetsDig18 videos of Mr Digg's operation this podcast was an absolute pleasure to sort of meet the man who operates a fantastic recycling operation. Great podcast Dirt Perfect.
At about 56:00 - about the 'camera crew' situation - I find it refreshing to know that what I am watching Really and Actually happened! Not 36 takes from 3 different cameras, to get the dirt falling out of the bucket without sticking. By this point, you all know where to put the $%*)# GoPro for the best angle. And when you just fudge it, that usually works too. Can't watch regular TV or movies anymore, and would rather support folks like yourselves!!!
Loved to podcast. Chris done a good job co hosting. Mike you and Chris have very similar personalities which makes it fun to listen to the jabs back and forth. Ryan I will coming by the nursery here soon to check it out. Every time I leave the gate at work I say I need to come by and check it out. Need to be sure the white ford is out there to get the full tour. You all keep up the great work with the channels.
i don’t know how ryan gets any sleep, it would drive me crazy with worry, what a outstanding guy, thanks for the recycling, truly does all he can for the environment..
What a down to earth kinda guy Ryan is. I've seen a couple of his videos but didn't really know about his tremendous operation. Just went over and subscribed to his channel. Great video, introducing other TH-camrs on your channel is great, i started watching several other's channels because of it. Thanks for the work that you do.
Very good video I can’t believe I live 20 minutes from north Augusta I will have to check out that place I would have liked to have met DP let’s dig 18 maybe one day it will happen
The more of these guys I see you with, the more I wished I lived near you where we could just hang out… share some time stories and pepsi (yes, I love the elixer too… Felt bad for you having to drink that swill)…
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Every time you start comparing TH-camrs I’m always brought back to one of my earliest farm channels. One Lonely Farmer. He currently has about 14 years of videos on line and I might be wrong but I believe he lost a bunch of his earliest content. He peaked ages ago and was one of the first to have his subscribers deleted to minimize his presence on TH-cam. He’s definitely not as G rated as your channel but has stood steady to just being himself. You might find him an interesting watch. He has another channel where he just says whatever he thinks of called AG talk in the raw. Usually has some interesting videos when he has something worth filming. He was one of the first I heard that shared the idea of filming his daily activities so his family would have something to look back at. On a side line have you ever checked out the just aircraft superstol xl aircraft. The kit minus engine and aeronautics is about 50k. Might be an interesting project for your new shop your planning to build. Make sure there’s room for an airplane 😂. I’m truly fascinated by the superstol aircraft that can takeoff and land on a banana 🍌 peal. Wishing you and your family the best.
There is money in cardboard, but you have to bale it. If you had a automatic baler that you could just push the cardboard in and make bales it would pay. I work for a recycling company and we pickup bales from stores and commercial businesses.
I have been in the industry for 23 years. I know what baler cost and the trucking. If you have to pick out the occ by hand.....yep no money in it. There is alot more to it. Need to go directly to paper mills. Sure the price is up and down.....anywhere from 20 a ton to over 100 a ton. I understand you guys don't have the volume to make it feasible to recycle cardboard. Truthfully there is not any money in mulch, labor, trucking, grinder at 25 dollars a yard if you didn't get the front end paid for dumping. Its all about getting stuff paid for by someone else and selling off the profitable stuff.
So question I have for you Mike is does Ryan actually own the concrete business as well making it full circle im going ask Ryan as well just curious is all
Are we going to ignore the fact that we have an imposter in the group! Guy sounds just like DP, but there is no way that is DP! 😮 DP with just a stach doesn't look right! 🤣
