Hey Eve, what’s the study method again where you fold your A4 paper in half to take notes? I’m sure you’ve explained it in one of your previous videos, but I just can’t find it anymore… Also, thanks for your vlogs, I love love love the aesthetics 🧸🩵 Greetings from Germany :))
the main idea is to keep one chapter/sheet of paper. i try my best to limit the notes to one page since it forces me to really synthesize the info, but it's not always possible. If i feel like the info isn't summarized enough, i'll redo it a few days later. when i make these notes, i don't underline and i only use black ink. I also write somewhat big to prevent me from cramming too much useless info in the notes. Basically, your goal is to only retain the relevant and important info from your class. Then, a few days later, i go back in with a highlighter + pen of the same color and review + annotate if i want to clarify something. A week or so later, I'll do this another time with a different color. When exams get closer, i'll redo my notes another time. This time, my goal is to synthesize everything (colored & not colored) into half a page. I only write down the parts I'm unsure of, so if i understood the specific chapter well enough, it should be quite easy. If I can't, then I know I need to review the chapter once more it's really tedious, but as someone with anxiety, it's the only way i can manage my exam anxiety 😅 basically i write the thought process behind my understanding on the papers, so when i review them, it's easy to understand, if that makes sense... i'm not sure I ever talked about it on youtube but i know made a reel a bit over two years ago 🤔🤔
no filters! sometimes i do color correct because the colors between clips in a single context don't match and it annoys me, but that's pretty much it 🤷🏻♀️ i'm sorry if this isn't much help
I'm about to start operating systems aswell, i hope it ain't too difficult. Anyway I wanted to ask what Laptop you use for uni cos I've loooking for one but i wanted to make sure it's actually useful & suitable for my course.
it's not too bad, but you need to make sure you really understand the terminology and the basics because otherwise you'll struggle a lot as the course advances! my laptop is a 14" M1 Max mbp with 64 GB or RAM. it's definitely overkill for uni - most people I know that have macbooks either have an Air with 16GB of RAM or the base mbp. i specced out my laptop mainly for personal projects, and although i could've used more RAM, it's not too bad
