Villa Balbianello

The last owner of the Villa was Guido Monzino, a prominent Milanese businessman who was a collector and explorer. He led the first Italian expedition to successfully climb everest, although he himself did not reach the summit die to ill health. He also led an expedition to the North Pole and the sled he used is in the "Explorer's Room" in this video. The Villa's gardens are magnificent as is the setting in which the Villa stands.
