Nesso, Lake Como - Italy Walking Tour

Come walking with me around Nesso.
Literally split in half by its famous gorge, Nesso is a picturesque village sitting on the banks of Lake Como, halfway between the lakefront towns of Como and Bellagio.
Nesso is smaller than the nearby and more popular Bellagio, but with its narrow streets, stairways and underpasses, red rooftops and tall stone houses, and the breathtaking "Orrido" (the famous Nesso Gorge) it's a true gem, one of the prettiest villages on Lake Como.
The Nesso Gorge is the result of two streams, Tuf and Nosé, that flow one into another right on the edge of the gorge’s steep drop.
As soon as you arrive in the central part of the village, you will immediately hear the typical noise of a waterfall coming from the gorge that snakes into Lake Como, probably one of the best natural wonders that you can find around the lake.
Braving Nesso's streets, that are actually a maze-like sequence of steep steps, you can enjoy a stunning view of the waterfall from Ponte della Civera, a Romanesque bridge made of stone.
