Hi Charlotte - yes, the first session for about 3 weeks, due to various circumstances (rain, more rain, yet more rain...). I don't know if you've seen Cyno's video yet, but your favourite spectator is prominent there! (I haven't seen her so far in my own video).

Fabulous, thank you for rushing about to capture this, much appreciated. I’m glad you had decent weather! The band played such lovely pieces (I’m leaving it to the expert Delvin to name them!) and you got some great close ups. Superb performance, as I’ve now come to expect, from SDM Chambers in front of the band, they all looked the smart as. I do wonder though if they don’t feel a tiny bit irritated by the sack of potatoes stuffed in the high viz shambling along in front of them all🤔
Hi Ann, and thanks for the comment! It almost felt like Spring today, but I suspect it won't last! I've put the names, and composers, of all the marches in my Description just under the video, something I now do with all my videos. Much of my information about all the marches originally came from Delvin in the first place, although as a former musician I did know some of them before I started doing this filming just over a year ago. The marches played today certainly included a couple of my favourites.
Great video, Sir ! I always wonder what the March up Sheet Street from the Barracks looks like. One fine day I might make the effort myself. Going to have to be a darn sight colder than it was today ! Take it easy Mike !
Thanks - Funnily enough, I was just viewing your video when the notification of your comment on my video struck! I did see you today, but couldn't quite push through the crowd quickly enough to say hello! I can, however, report that the hot drinks machines in "you know where" have been revamped and/or entirely replaced, so maybe they'll be able to monitor stocks of your favourite drink more effectively! The challenge with trying to film the march up Sheet Street is hearing the band "round the corner" when they start - not difficult if there's perfect silence, but of course there never is!
Their bass trombones are just unparalleled, what a h e a v y sound
