I’m British and proud of our boys who do this but I’ve always wondered if any of the band members have actually ever been to war and fought in it or if they haven’t like yes they are all soldiers but I’m only wondering if any of the band members have actually been to war or if they don’t have that chance that question has always been bugging me so if anyone know let me know??
Most are soldiers 1st and foremost, music is another choice they get to make or are chosen on talent, they also have a job within - eg, cook, medic, driver, mechanic, accounting. store keepers, laundry, etc. In other words all regiments are self sufficient within. They are also capable of borrowing a musician within all the Guards when needed.@@Nathan.150
@@gordonlandreth9550 considering he is a professional bandsman in the household division (the highest echelon of British Army musician) being able to march instep and in time is surely a basic requirement…

yes, I noticed the same.
We have the same problem with a musician in our band: shift of +/- 1coma compared to the cadence.
Not that big a deal , he was playing an instrument at the time and playing well .
