Three things are crucial for us to navigate this world: 1. Saturating our minds with God's word. 2. Asking God for wisdom in all things 3. Always beholding the glory of Christ until we made like HIm. - God bless you Pr. John, and the desiring God team!

John Piper, you've been blessed with such a talent so as to be able to present this duality so well. The indigenousness and foreignness

Impossible to adopt this "indigenous" principle...To do so is to necessitate the adoption of many of the world's norms: greed, deceit, selfishness, fear, compromise, luke-warmness. self preservation, self love, favoritism, distorting the truth, being two-faced, manipulative, etc. etc. etc. It's an excuse for friendship with the world. It is to be OF the world, which we are not. I don't get my norms and values from society, but from the Bible, or at least I'm a sinner who is learning to gradually adopt the Bible's norms and values.

Wow this is such a revelation from God to me. I've been seeing the numbers 444 a lot and been wondering what it all meant. Watched a Korean pastor's sermon on this very passage in Romans 12 and the length of the sermon was 44:43. I searched again on TH-cam and typed "do not conform to the pattern of this world" and pastor Jonh Piper's sermon shows up at the top and it's 44:47 min long. If this isn't a message from God then I don't know what is.

It means nothing. I’ve seen 111, 2’s 3’s for years. Don’t fall into numerology or spirituality. Look to God, not numbers.

I guess Jesus didn't do that. The world hated Him.

oh how weird dude. if you possess the discernment to make any sense of your own weirdly disconnected sermon, you must be very special to God indeed.
