Powder On Ice

Some early season skiing in the squamish zone with my buddy Bob. The highest value way to play the thin snowpack game is to head to some ice with an aircraft in your backpack. When you're done skiing the good stuff up high, the best way back to the truck is through the sky.

I still think about that day we randomly bumped into Bob on the Matier glacier after he had already summitted Joffre, skied the Aussie couloir and was on his way up Matier to bag another classic. Bobs the man.
