Fr . The 100th episode yet it sucks sm and there's way too much going on. They could've done so much better , many episodes are better than this one yet this episode is the 100th episode.

I'll admit that it never occurred to me but once someone mentioned it i felt like there was a lot (recently) that really supports it. Like, the animators could have been lazy in making felix, or they always planned (yeah right) to make adrien a sentimonster so his mother could have a kid and they based the kid off of her sister's so it would look genetically sound. The obsession with keeping adrien safe, but neglecting him at all other times. The ring. The fact that adrien had no childhood wish other than to be what his parents wanted (and not remembering it, which i feel is the creators embracing the sentimonster idea either to laugh at us when it isn't true or to say they always intended it). Also that he's got too many skills compared to everyone else (kagami only does fighting, but he's somehow good enough to be at her level even though he has far more responsibilities, he's fluent in everything, etc). On the other hand, the control of adrien is different than the sentimonsters we've seen, and it seems that whoever was in possession (or maybe whoever created the sentimonster and secondary holders don't get it) of the object have a mind link. If we saw gabriel twist his ring and give a command when adrien's not around, that'd be a whole different scenario than maybe guilting adrien or using the ring as a soother.
Yeah and I feel that Gabe might not be the original person in the original miraculous timeline who unifies both of the cat and ladybug miraculouses i think it might be ladybug
I remember that master Fu said in robustus that when a wish was granted there would CONSEQUENCES. Like a boy dying in exchange for Max's robot to be human. It was never mentioned that the entire world would be Thanos snapped out of existence.

I forgot which episode, but people talked about the actual wish Gabriel made. He did not just state that he wanted to bring her back. His wish was to rewrite reality completely. This added to thanos snapping.

Yeah I have been shipping ladybug and cat noir sense the very first episode of the series and for 4 seasons they are stuck in the friend zone with one of them being a hitting on kind of guy and the other a creepy stalker who donsen't even know how to talk and seeing how harsh ladybug was with cat noir throughout season 3 and 4 I I just don't see ladynoir as a perfect couple but then starting with season 5 episode 10 they finally try to get to know each other a lot better due to being free being superheroes they are finally seeing how they were truly meant for each other I don't even like andra the ice cream man sense elation he's forcing cat noir to be a boyfriend of a girl who is always pushing him off the roof just because his ice cream says so this makes him more like a false idol than a matchmaker because he is litrly putting faith in his ice cream like it's the God of matchmakers and ha I'm glad that he was able to relazie his mistake at the of the episode
On a real note: Miraculous ladybug is a great example of an awesome, incredible idea; executed horrifically, wasted on a kids show. As much as I love Adrien, the way he’s going to be portrayed when Ladybug reveals her identity to him is going to be atrocious. Just you watch, he’s going to immediately forget all the distrustful, mean, & bordering abusive, treatment she’s given him for the past 2+ years and immediately be OK with whatever the hell she does/did. Thomas Astruc had a one good idea… followed by countless terrible ones.
The problem isn't that is a Kid Show, but How screenwriters see children's mindsets. They don't see them as people who can understand more serious and organized plots, but as dumb beings who accept anything. Because there is A LOT of kid shows that have better plot, better character development and consistency, then Miraculous.
The real problem is that the writers can't decide if they want Miraculous to be a kids show (repetition of plot without major character development), a family show (heavy plot with lots of character development) or animé/cartoon (plot with heavy exaggeration of emotions and humor).
1. The Chloe thing wasn't expectations being subverted, it's bad writing. Chloe had an entire season building & unraveling her character just to be dropped in the trash and completely assassinated. 2. Ephemeral is *nothing* but another memory-wipe episode, based on NOTHING. Luka keeps lying, although him hating lies wad literally his only character traits besides "hot emo guitar guy". Marinette as well, faced the end of the world bc of an identity reveal once and now what? She just wants to vibe? This makes 0 sense.
I really wanted chloe to have that redemption arch..it would've been so good i loved that scene where she opened up to ladybug and her mom...she really wanted to do a good job as queen bee :(
Well Luke lies but I think he’s lying is more understandable, he loves Marinette and wants what’s best for her even if what’s best is keeping her in the dark, because he knows the best for her is being with Adrien. Though he also knows that it’s important for them to win agains Shadowmoth first, and if he told them before stuff like this episode happens
It is so difficult loving this show after 4 seasons of nonsense. The 100th episode showed me that if that's the potential Miraculous has, I don't think I would still be a fan when season 6 comes around. The writers really need to step up their game. Come on! If Mia and Me (a show that doesn't really have a plot) has more character development in 3 seasons than Miraculous, you know something isn't right with the writing.

in my opinion they'll only do the reveal when the series is on the verge of cancelation. i think someone said it best when they say that their baiting older viewers in by shoing hope of progress minus the actual progresses so... let's just take what ever the creative team say from now on with a big fat grain of salt.
oh yes..because the older fans absolutely love wasting their time watching a show for 6 years with hardly any progression and a tonn of "what ifs" :( i want the plot to move already...
There has been some actual progress such as Luka learning their identities and Felix learning Shadow Moth's. And if you look ahead at the season 4 finale episode title it's "The Last Attack of Shadow Moth" so I think we're going to see Gabriel's part of the story wrapped up this season. I'm very excited for it!
I think Adrien feeling betrayed/upset at the revelation that Marinette is Ladybug would’ve been a much better reveal due to the current events of the show. It would’ve been kind of like a climax for Chat Noir’s & Adrien’s feelings about being shut away by Ladybug.
I thought that. But it would have been hard to revive the story. Its supposed to be about "the Power of love" not Another heartbreak show. That sounds like a season 5 episode tho, since they went back in time and changed the future
Yeah I thought that was going to be the reveal but no it's just another Lila episode screwing things up although I like the fact that Adrian finally reazlies his mistake of letting Lila lie and not standing up for marinette even though he's the only one who believed her and marinette finally realizing that she has been losing her cool every time Lila approaches and finally trys to deal with her

Yeah, he could legit just have told Ladybug "Hey, I already know his identity, I found out by accident. So, I can tell your teacher, and we don't need to do this very complicated plan that can go wrong in so many ways. Sounds good? Good!" Luka seems to be so rational, so I don't see him just see him agreeing to a convoluted plan, when he knows a way easier way to do something. So the entire plot of this episode is just dumb and doesn't matter.

This episode was probably the worst miraculous episode for so, so many reasons, and it really did cross my mind to just stop watching completely the way they've lost themselves is actually flabbergasting🚶🏿♂️
I always understood it as he knows about Ladybug but cant tell her. The consequences of having one person who secretly knows them both could have been interesting if the plan had worked. How does Luka, Mr. Honest, make this work?
We can see that Gabriel has started touching his ring after Felix stole his one. Maybe it is a subconscious or conscious thing he does to make sure that his ring is with him and it has nothing to do with Adrien being a sentimonster.
I actually really like this theory! Obviously Gabriel is going to be quite protective of the last ring left since it is a memory of Emilie, so yeah this theory is good. Idk why but I absolutely despise the "Adrien being a sentimonster" theory since it would kind of ruin the plotline of the show, specially since they've already put chat noir to the side of the show in this season.
The fact that they used the special 100th episode for some what if that feels like it was ripped from a wattpad story is a giant slap in the face to the community.
I think that they thought that the Ephemeral episode would be awesome because the Senti-Adrien theory is pushed forward, and so is the concept that LB can fall in love with CN. I agree, it failed to really support its main strengths. I tend to agree with the idea that Thomas put forward to kill Adrien. They have ruined his character on bad plot turns.
Side note: if this was a "what if" anyways, WHY DIDN'T BUNNIX SHOW UP TO BEGIN WITH? I MEAN IF SHE SHOWED UP IN CHAT BLANC WHY NOT HERE? and don't go "Time Paradox" with me other wise that should have affected Chat Blanc
I said it in regards to Cat Blanc and I will say it again. she has no reason to be there nothing from the past, or the future changed current reality. so things are happening the way they should be happening, so if she stepped in she would actually be the one that would be changing history

No no, it was right that they didn't show bunnix since the situation was nothing like Chat Blanc where the world was left in ruins but rather being erased. Adult bunnix could've disappeared cause of that reveal they did that could've caused a major rift to the future, or it could've not affected them since sass was the one handling the situation, the Miraculous of Time loops not Time and Alternate timelines itself, since just like we've seen, nothing really happened and every progress was erased, Adrien and Marinette's as well as Gabriel's. Therefore it WAS just another what if episode where it is LITERALLY a what if episode, not like Chat Blanc where it IS a what if episode but a plot relevant one that TRULY caused a MAJOR problem in the future as well as being responsible for Marinette's trauma.
If Ladybug's plan didn't involve Viperion, Bunnix would've been there. The reason why we didn't see her is because she simply wasn't needed this time (Also because it happened so suddenly). And that's why this episode was worse than Cat Blanc. Cat Blanc made Ladybug think that they should never reveal their identities and at least ladybug remembered the fight. In Ephemeral it was just a confirmation that they shouldn't know each other's identities and none of them remembered a thing.
Me to I swear it was so unrealistic how Gabriel found out about car noir like cmon there is no way saying “my lady” reveals he’s identity he could’ve just been a fanboy and then they reverse time again like the episode never happened I swear this made me not want to watch the show
I've given up on this show too, I'm at my limit. I'm only waiting around for the awakening movie tbh, in hopes that it'll be better than this spaghetti writting since it's gonna be written and directed by a whole another person.

every single episode is literally the same, someone gets mad/sad then hawk moth akumatizes them and then lb and cn saved the day. i was so excited for this episode thinking the day wouldn’t be back to normal but then of course viperion had to barge in and ruin it.
Man this episode was disappointing. It feel really rushed too I mean Gabriel discovering his identity after hearing him say mylady? Really? Couldn't they just make it so he saw him detransform? And they have done the fake reveal thing so much that I don't even know what they are gonna do when the actual reveal comes. I mean we already know how it will go so how are they going to do the reveal justice?
I mean your right it does take some of the suspense for the REAL reveal away, now we basically know that once Marinette discoverers CN is Adrien she’s gonna notice how she actually does like CN, and once Adrien finds out Marinette is LB he’s all of a sudden thought all that “just a friend” crap out the window and they’ll instantly kiss. And they it might all get erased because they love to troll us

I agree. That is the problem. Miraculous put all their focus in the love square, but they also want 7 seasons. At this point I'm starting to hate Adrienette because it is so toxic. You can't love a relationship that doesn't have development.
They look like a mexican novel at this point. The father being the bad, the identical evil twin thing, the typical Queen bee and her member in her family who is the only good person (Zoe) The toxic romance, and the inexplicables romantical complications that make the plot too much long and with holes like a cheese. Yeah I'm sure a villain can raise the dead why not do that. If he can make villains that can can control the weather, make a villain can literally destroy the whole universe, time travel, reverse time, etc. I'm sure he can make a villain that can bring back his wife.
In my opinion the episode was utter shit, Super overhyped and irrelevant. These reveal fake outs are getting so annoying at this point and i’m considering dropping the show if the reveal doesn’t happen by the finale, Adrien being a sentimonster is a nice touch in this episode but it’s a what if episode so it’s probably just to tease us. Also the ending was super lame. I rate this episode a 2/10 utter disappointment and boredom
Yeah. This episode is sadly not worth the respect of being the 100th episode. I mean, at least do something that benefits the storyline. In all honesty, the whole collapse of this episode was Luka's fault. I mean seriously, this boy couldn't travel back and tell Su-Han that Cat Noir was Adrien? C'mon. Not to mention that the villains were lame, both story wise and design wise. Mullock was a Flying Vault. How did it not occur to Pegasus to create a Voyage Ring on the bottom of the Vault so everything falls out? Or that Mullock could have just stole money from banks and people. Turning people into money, is not going to get you anywhere. You basically just made yourself alone in Paris. Ephemeral's design wasn't worth it either. He looks like a Pinball machine speed tile. The writers should have made him try to break his link to the ring and used his powers on Shadow Noir, that way Ladybug knew who Shadow Noir is too. In Cat Blanc, they fast forward how Ladybug and Cat Noir found Hawk Moth. Plus, Shadow Noir's outfit was straight up terrible. There was barely any butterfly or peacock resemblance. Plus where was Shadow Noir going to put the earrings on? In all honesty, they should have just told the story of the Miraculouses throughout history. And how Su-Han became a guardian. Or show the time between the destruction of the Guardian's Temple to Paris before Ladybug and Cat Noi, featuring Gabriel and Emilie's back story. Now that would have been worth the 100th episode. I love Ladybug and Cat Noir, but their storytelling is very lacking. I mean how has Ladybug not been able to create a plan to find and arrest Gabriel. It is a tragedy. She has time to make plans and gifts for Adrien, but cannot hold off her plans till after the bad guy is defeated? C'mon. Well we are here now with 6 Episodes left to air, Psycomedian, Qilin, Kuro Neko, Penalteam, Risk, and Strike Back, which hopefully will end by New Years.
@@Raya-ir4tm Yeah, but Luka could have gone back in time and the same time line would happen. It's like a rewind button. The upcoming scene is still the same, but you just went back a few minutes. Marinette's long pause would have still happened again, even when Luka rewinded. Or Luka could have lied to Marinette and told her that he went back and got the info he needed. Like how he did in Wishmaker.
Your argument and this episode proved the writers do not reread their scripts or rewatch their episodes because characters constantly forget what they already saw or know which makes no sense.

I think they should have had something from the past or the future change the current timeline so bunnix actually has a reason to save them because they've deviated from the timeline that's why bunnix has no place here because the things are happening exactly as they should be Don't mean it that they're going right just that they're the same as the original timeline

@@anonymousperson8078 I was referring to when all the kwami met up to call Nooroo. Tikki tries to tell the other kwami about Marinette, but she is unable to. I realize now that it isn't "their user" but the rule still may apply when talking about others. That's just a guess though, as my original statement was not applicable.

I feel most interested in what Gabriel was even going to see Adrien for....He rarely ever goes to Adrien's room, mostly sending his many underlings, so what could he possibly want?
Very bad episode - script recycled from "Cat Blanc" is one thing, but Gabe's wish potentially erasing the whole world closes doors to many interesting outcomes of his plotline. For example it's almost impossible for his wife to return as a villain cuz her resurrection is death for everyone, not the disaster the heroes could fight against after losing to our moth-themed baddie.
Luka didnt even have to go through with the plan OR reveal that he knew already to Ladybug. All he had to do was go there, activate second chance, and then say "we already did it, I know who he is". She would have no way of knowing he didnt actually reset time. Of course that doesnt matter either, because all Marinette would have had to do is explain the situation to Chat and have him find Su Han and tell him his identity in person. Or explain the plan about Luka finding out to him. Or explain anything to him. But I guess they would be equal partners then, and that would be a travesty.
I was very disappointed. Literally nothing NOTHING has changed after the so very important and extremely hyped “100th episode”. I’m so done w this show.
Amazing how adrien saying mlady randomly in a phone call is what tipped Gabriel off that he’s cat noir. Rather than adrien voice acting him in the ladybug movie, dressing up as him or even that time you suspected him or being cat noir in season 2
What happened to no filler? This episode does nothing for the plot cause it's all wiped by the end. Luka already knows their identities so that doesn't even add to the plot. Why was this made? (Besides fan service)
"To show us why a reveal can't happen until Hawkmoth's gone!" Which is stupid since we knew that from day 1... and it didn't cement up to this point because of all the reveal teases from the previous seasons. 🙄

Apparently only one person in the whole Paris says so. There are so many plot holes in this episode that it’s unbearable. Basically a Walmart’s Chat Blanc.

I wish we’d gotten a little of Alya reacting to this whole thing since she learned Ladybug’s identity before Luka. Like, I’d enjoy seeing them team up as a sort of auxiliary team that acts like a go-between for the main duo, even tho Luka knows both Marinette and Adrien’s alter egos. She’s already a sort of “eye-in-the-sky” for Ladybug when she needs covert support, but she also is a permanent holder. Still tho, I’m left wondering about Nino’s role if Luka is the one to discover Adrien’s alter ego and not him. We got a reverse of some sort in the Rocketear episode but that wasn’t really even a good progression of the narrative. Not only was the way that even happened contrived from the start, but there is nothing gained from this discovery for Adrien besides potential fallout from learning that Ladybug allows Nino and Alya to know each other’s identities. For now it kinda feels like something Adrien has to keep from Ladybug in order for Nino to remain as Carapace since Nino didn’t know he was actually ratting out both his and Alya’s identities to Chat Noir. On top of that, Rena Rouge publicly retired as far as Chat Noir knows, yet she reveals that she’s still Rena Furtive to Nino because it’s actually not a big deal if only the two of them know (even tho Nino literally just revealed their identities to Adrien). It’s not like Chat Noir can grant Nino or Alya their Miraculous at will either since he doesn’t have access to the Miracle Box and Alya is already a permanent holder. The way this set up was written is a complete mess with almost no way of straightening out or working to a net advantage for the heroes. It would’ve made sense for Alya to know Ladybug (while remaining Rena Furtive) and Nino to know Chat Noir, with Luka knowing both and serving as a go-between for both Alya and Nino. At this point, what you have is Alya/Rena Furtive knowing Marinette/Ladybug, Luka knowing both Ladybug and Chat Noir, and Nino knowing Alya/Rena Furtive with Adrien knowing both HIS and Alya’s identities (former in Alya’s case since Rena Rouge is now Rena Furtive). How could that work in a crisis? Adrien could watch Nino’s back from Akumatizations but that’s not too far removed from the current situation, even if he puts extra focus to it. Nino could back-up and call up Alya for anything he catches or something she needs to relay to Ladybug but that’s sorta it. He can’t watch Chat Noir’s back when he’s Adrien. Also he kinda doesn’t like Chat Noir, but idk if that’s been resolved since learning he wasn’t actually trying to get with Alya as Rena Rouge. Alya has the best deal with acting as the confidant for Ladybug, and backing her up for Guardian responsibilities and tracking Hawkmoth. She could’ve been a go-between for Ladybug and Chat Noir’s alter-egos but no one really fills the role besides… Luka, who only is aware of both their identities, yet neither Marinette or Adrien know that he knows. If he knew Alya/Rena Furtive they could get a chain of information going and reserve heroes at the ready. The way everything has been written so far, Nino can’t actually fit here. It should’ve been Alya is a permanent holder who knows who Ladybug and Carapace is, but not Chat Noir. Nino could’ve known who Chat Noir and Rena Furtive was, but not Ladybug. Nino and Alya would know each other’s identities and respective Miraculous Holder status, but not have revealed that they know the actual identities of their best pals. At this point, we could have Luka see both Chat and Ladybug’s identities and deduce that Alya and Nino have the most interaction with Ladybug and Chat Noir respectively (he could know Rena and Carapace or not, it wouldn’t matter; if he knows he’ll go to them instead of Marinette or Adrien directly cause he knows they each told Alya and Nino in confidence and they’re the best friends of each - if he doesn’t know then it’ll be because he learns that he catches on that Alya and Nino are the Jimmy Olsen to Ladybug and Chat Noir’s Superman and serve as a go-between between both parties Why do the writers do this to us
Right so I'm a bit confused. How did Marinette know Luka knew her identity? She sent him a message saying "sass is in my sewing box". i thought Luka kept the fact that he knew ladybugs identity to himself. How did Marinette know who to ask for help?
I had this same question. I believe that Marinette assumed that Luka would figure out it was her, since she's one of his close friends and everyone knows she likes sewing. She only had seconds left and that was her only option.
@@MadameDinoLady It's a massive plot hole that's ironically easy to fix if we just pretend the text came from Marinette and not Ladybug. Even if Luka didn't know Ladybug's identity, it would've been an instant click Marinette knows about Sass. In this particular case, it was "safe" to reveal her identity, since Sass rewinding time by himself would make both of them lose their memories, Marinette just didn't know Luka already knew beforehand. The real issue though, is that we, the audience, shouldn't be fixing the narrative through headcanons or theories. The writing is just bad.
what if it turns out that they are already in the altered world. instead of sentimonster theory, what if the current timeline is actually already emilie's wish? what if she wished for her husband to be successful or something like that? maybe that's why Adrian's memory had different colored eyes? because it is supposed to represent a slightly altered world change has already occurred
Uuuugh, they kept saying that Adrien and Marinette were supposed to start dating in S4 and if they meant THIS episode we were gonna see that then I want my money back!!!! I enjoyed the episode for what it was but there is literally no change to the plot. Marinette still doesn’t know the whole teams identities, Luka still knows Adrien’s and Marinette’s and does nothing with this info, Gabriel’s still a crappy father…. This episode could’ve taken place literally anywhere after Wishmaker and the continuity wouldn’t have been effected one bit
I think this episode wasn't the worst episode. I agree with you for the majority of the things you said, i liked marinette behavior when she learns that cat noir is adrien because it actually made sense which is not guaranteed with Marinette. i like the execution of things: it was fast how ladybug and cat noir got togheter but i guess it's ok this time. The only thing i don't understand is why is Sass the one who used his powers? Luka could have wore the bunny miracoulus and travel back in time to stop himself or ladybug before she learns cat noir's identity ( this reasoning could aply to hawk moth in the season 3 finale when he had the miracle box and he could have taken the bunny miracoulus and saved Emily end of the story). I agree that is so frustraiting things reset once more i wonder if this is a way for the authors to know which identity revelation is more successful to not take the risk but even then it takes away any hype i could have had for the reavelation because we already saw three possible scenarios.

I think that this episode was more-so to answer questions than to affect the plot, one of the people who work on the show said that it has some foreshadowing for season 5.

As for Adrien we already saw what happened in chat blanc we didn't need to have another episode again for us to know. I am still holding on to this show for two reason: Marinette's and Adrian's character arcs. I feel like the only way Marinette can be the best Ladybug (and guardian) is when she matures and learns the difference between obsession and love. That way when she finds out who Cat Noir really is, she will not make these kind of mistakes out of some desperate attempt to be with him. As for Adrian, he is obsessed over Ladybug too, but his real problem is his father. Both Cat Blanc and Ephemeral prove that Adrian is not mentally strong enough to handle the situation of his father being the main villain because deep down he wants his back mother too. Hell, is childhood dream is to be what his parents want him to be! If these two have any chance of getting into a relationship and successfully revealing their secret IDs to each other, Gabriel would have to be put to justice first and both heroes would have to suffer some kind of lost. I am kind of hoping that it ends like this. During the final struggle: both learn their secret IDs, Gabriel see the errors of his ways, Gabriel sacrifices his existence for his wife, Adrian gets his mother back, but loses his father, Marinette learns from Gabriel's example, and learns what the consequences of being obsessed with someone can lead to. In the end, Marinette gives Adrian the proper space he needs to grieve and decides that she just wants what is best for Adrian and that is not a relationship or being Cat Noir for the moment. And while they are all distracted, the butterfly miraculous falls into the next villain's hands. Once Adrian is strong enough again, Marinette and Adrian become the dream team we all want. Afterall, knowing each others secret ID can creates just as many problems.

Gabriel obtained the power to rewrite reality and it was undone by a kwami…. I remember when Gabriel was more like Mr. Freeze and less like Thanos. I liked him as a Mr. Freeze-like character. And the fact that Kwamis can cancel out absolute power to rewrite reality, is just disappointing altogether
Honestly I can’t even bother whenever I hear that an episode is going to be a good one. I just feel tired of what if’s and fillers. Just keep on using the formulaic episodes if you’re not going to make some actual progress is what I am thinking

That would've been a neat thing- especially since the other ep thats like this (Chat Blanc) Marinette remembers that Chat got akumatized and fought him (but not the reveal) so Adrian having a blurry memory of the events would be a nice flip side of that- also we could've gotten some amazing dialogue about akumatization and how it feels/affects the person it happens to from a first person viewpoint!

Honestly, I'm really glad this video came out. I was EXTREMELY underwhelmed and disappointed with this episode, but I'm getting berated for saying that. The Miraculous fandom on Tumblr is a shitshow right now with people making vageposts that are essentially harassing the people who don't like this episode and calling them stupid and entitled for not liking it... Gives me the same bad feelings as being gaslit, to be honest. Why can't people just accept that others don't like this episode and are tired of getting baited into a reveal? Why can't people just accept that some of us aren't exclusively here to cheer on the love square and we actually want the plot to progress?
This was a massive disappointment for me. I knew it was a what if episode and even just hearing that when the creators and ambassadors had been hyping this up as the most important episode before it was even made was already disappointing, but then I tried to have hope anyway because why would the entire staff hype this up SO much if it didn't have a huge impact? Then it all ends up being meaningless and literally no one remembers a damn thing, not even the Kwamis. Awful. Everything throughout the episode felt way too rushed because of how it's such a short runtime of like 22 minutes max, and I think this could've worked a lot better as maybe an hour long special (which, you know, it should've been anyway, given that it was the "most important episode in the season"). Luka in particular was kind of terrible in this episode. Like you said in the video, there's no reason for him to not tell Marinette that he already knows Chat Noir's identity and the whole plan was useless, unless he was worried that Marinette would be upset with him for lying earlier or something, but I feel like that'd be uncharacteristically and incredibly selfish of him. It also kind of ruined Wishmaker a little for me, which really hurt because that's without a doubt my favorite episode in S4 and maybe favorite overall too, and yet the major plot point in that episode seems to have actually had no impact given how it didn't matter AT ALL here besides a singular moment where he's able to tell her to love Chat Noir too, basically. Ephemeral was meant to be the biggest and most impactful episode in a season where "every episode has a major plot point" (which, by the way, just sounds so dumb considering how that's how MOST shows operate anyway and Miraculous was always so lazy with its plot and now suddenly wants to act all high and mighty about having one) and yet all it really did was act as a filler whose only impact was maybe that it essentially took what actually WAS a pretty big plot point and made it useless. Ephemeral himself only existing onscreen for maybe two minutes max was also hugely disappointing. He's your title akuma; show us a little less of Marinette hating on Chat Noir (I get that she doesn't have romantic feelings for him, but this episode really made it seem like she actively disliked him when comparing him to Adrien yet before now that's never been the case) and more of him actually having some use in the episode. I liked that even as an akuma he was still clearly resisting internally and was so uncomfortable with what he was doing, but they didn't actually show enough of that for it to really mean much to me. Same with Adrien finding his mother's corpse. At least have him say something about it. He just stares in poorly-animated shock (seriously, his expression just felt so bleh in what should be a horrifying moment for him) for a few seconds and then Gabe akumatizes him in his biggest moment of trauma like the dearest abusive dad he is. The only genuinely good part of the episode for me was actually seeing emphasis placed on his ring. I like the senti!adrien theory a lot and think it maybe kind of redeems Adrien's many Gary Stu character aspects since sentimonsters are meant to be perfect and Adrien is always called and acts perfect, so seeing little hints towards that was really nice, especially knowing how the writers are acutely aware of the theory. However, this episode has killed any remaining faith I had left in said writers, and I'm almost fully convinced that this is just a red herring and it doesn't really mean anything (like Gabe just rubs the ring because it was Emilie's and Adrien reminds him of her in those moments or something else stupid) because the writers are never going to have the confidence to actually do something so impactful, especially not when most of the fanbase would whine and cry because oh no perfect boy isn't human even though he's fundamentally the exact same and sentimonsters of humans have been treated as humans before (see Bugette/Sentibug). This episode felt so manipulative because the writers and ambassadors KNEW that this had no meaning, yet they hyped it up as such a big deal and put all the "reveal moments" in the trailer because they knew it'd excite everyone and get them so many clicks and watches. The show was made based on the idea of a love square and the writers have dragged it out for this long because it rakes in so much money. The plot is slow and repetitive and boring because it was an afterthought; the main story is "girl loves boy but boy loves other girl who is actually first girl and they don't know huh huh" and they're going to milk that forever because they can just keep baiting this young, impressionable fanbase into watching every episode and teasing a reveal that it's so hard to even care about anymore. It just hurts at this point. I liked this show in Season 1 because there wasn't really a plot outside of each individual episode so at least it was shameless about being a cashgrab. This, however, is plain manipulation, and since MLB's fanbase is so young it really just feels so icky. Needed to rant about this somewhere. :(

@@Raya-ir4tm I get all that, though I do also think none of the characters have really been developed and they all really exist solely as plot points. Marinette is the only one with a fleshed out personality, really, and even then does she actually have a character arc or anything? She has flaws that are explored in the show (not always in the best ways but at least they exist) but nothing about her really changes other than the fact that I guess she’s less clumsy now (but I think that’s also mostly just the writers trying to get away from that gag little by little). She’s not a developed character but she’s clearly not intended to be a static character either, she’s just a poorly written MC with an even more poorly written supporting cast. I mostly called Adrien “perfect” because that’s been a big point of emphasis with sentimonsters and with Adrien. Bugette was considered a perfect creation, one that I’m pretty sure Ladybug and Chat Noir and Hawkmoth all acknowledged as such. She had no flaws and was a carbon copy of Ladybug, made exactly as intended. Adrien is constantly called perfect by Marinette, Ladybug, his millions of fans and followers, and, most notably to me, Gabriel emphasizes that his son is perfect whenever possible. It just seems like they’re making all these parallels between Adrien’s almost impossible perfection in the eyes of literally everyone and the perfection of sentimonsters to say hey, there’s something going on here. I’m not really arguing against your point; it wouldn’t surprise me at all to learn that they used the sentimonster theory as an excuse to be so lazy (or, well, it would surprise me to learn that they used the senti theory at all because I seriously doubt they’ve got the confidence OR competence) but mostly just so I can explain why I called him perfect instead of one-dimensional (which is still correct) lol. It’s almost impressive how a show that relies so heavily on having good characters (because really, we’re all here for a constantly teased relationship between two characters, not the plot that they shoved together just to make it seem like a real show) is just so bad at writing literally any of them. Marinette is the only one that feels like a human being and even then just barely. It’s just depressing at this point. And yeah, Astruc’s obsession with being “feminist” has basically just turned into him being offensive at this point. No one wants a lone female protagonist who does things all on her own while everyone else just sits idly, we want a female protagonist who’s actually a good character surrounded by other good characters. With that one blatantly racist and borderline uhh p//dophilic comic Astruc put out I’m almost of the belief that he isn’t actually making this show to be feminist but to get money and to fulfill some weird fantasies or whatever. I personally believe that this episode and ep 21 is proof the the wish will be made in the season finale since we don't actually get to see SM make his wish and this time that snake was used to undo things instead of the rabbit. For me the only thing that could save this show would be is the bad guy wins and the Universe is remade.
I didn’t believe the Adrien being a sentimonster theory. It didn’t have any evidence, it was only really a hypothesis. Gabriel’s twisting of the ring came across as him getting a mixture of anxious/pissed when he didn’t get what he wanted. But then this episode came out
I agree with almost everything you said about the episode. For Ephemeral being the 100th episode and a really hyped up episode. The episode was pretty disappointing. This episode just feels rushed and a mess. Chat Blanc is a better episode than Ephemeral IMO. I feel like the whole Adrien and Marinette being a thing wasn't as cringe as in Chat Blanc at least. I knew the reveal wasn't going to actually happen but I didn't know if it would be Luka or Bunnix fixing it. The biggest thing that I really didn't like about this episode is Ephemeral and Shadow Noir are only in the episode for like a minute. Why even called the episode Ephemeral if he's hardly in the episode? It would've been nice to see Shadow Noir in action.
I honestly think the reason I don't really find enjoyment in this show anymore is because it feels like there's no payoff no matter what happens in the show. I don't just mean Adrien and Marinette's relationship, too. Luka and Kagami didn't really do much. We already know who ends up with who, Marinette still acted the same way around Adrien (if anything Kagami showed just who badly written Marinette is as a character). Lila never really added much to the story, despite how much build-up she and Gabriel had. New heroes are added, but it barely means anything anymore as it did back in season one. These are things that actually were there for the "plot" but have barely added anything!!! This show had so much potential but at this point, I get more enjoyment in reading fanfiction based on the show than the actual show because those stories at least have a plot with a payoff.

Luka Character Development was Subtle But Brilliant. Luka has Been a Person who Believes Truth is Important above all else. And when the Opportunity Arrives for Ladybug to Learn Catnoir Identity he keeps Quiet about it. He Knows this Secret is Important to Marrinette. He is Fully aware tje Marrinette loves Adrien and Probably wont go through with the Plan but he Allows her to do it anyway. He is a Romantic and Still Believes Truth is More important than Lies. And while Sass Has Gone Back in time and Prevented everyone from knowing the Consequences of this Decision. Luka is Aware the Sass Literally almost Broke the World to prevent these two from knowing their identity. Luka now knows more than Ever that sometimes Lies are Needed to Keep People Safe. Plus Luka truly was the MVP this Episode. When he First Debut who thought he would be the One to Literally Save the World. Not Me. Definitely became my favorite Character.
If this was truly character development for Luka, he would've told Ladybug Chat's identity, since he solely believes in truth, but after witnessing the consequences, he reversed it. He could've been the catalyst of this episode instead of Su-han, but instead, I feel like he's undeveloped as always. The events in Wishmaker had 0 effects on his character, and I feel like he was extremely wasted in this episode. I don't care if he was being 'romantic' by not telling Ladybug the truth, he could've spared so much time and effort. Also, he didn't have to tell Ladybug he knew her identity too, he didn't even need to tell her Chat's identity! He could've just told Su-han, and Ladybug wouldn't have to know anything! I think, the only reason Luka was included in this episode, is so that everything could be reversed.

He wants them to tell him the Truth not just say hey i Know this Secret you been hiding.

Ladybug already said time and time again why it's important that both her and Chat should keep their identities secret, why would Luka think that they will reveal their identities to him, especially Mari, who was the one who enforced the rule? I know this may be unintentional, but this episode makes Luka come off as entitled and irresponsible. He valued Marinette's identity, more than his role as a superhero, and almost risked Ladybug's position as Guardian

And also, there are so many potential storylines that this episode could have explored. For example, Adrian hates Camembert cheese, but his room is full of it. Couldn't Gabriel explore why? Or, Adrian could have been conflicted about knowing that the person he loves is Marinette, who he views as just a friend. Or, after the reveal Adrian and Marinette just could have been caught up in their relationship and neglected their duties to save Paris. So many paths left unexplored

honestly, for me, it was disappointing for me because if I wasn't told afterward that this was the hundredth episode I wouldn't have known. It failed as that. And it was a cheap replay of Chat blanc. An episode I personally loved.
I agree, this was the perfect opportunity for them to use what they started with Luka learning their secret identities & avoid the convoluted mess of this episode. Especially, when they go as far as making him suggest that "wouldn't it be safer" if he got Adrien's secret identity himself? - when ladybug mentioned he CatNoir would only open up to her, that was the exact moment he should've mentioned that, well, he already knows. This whole episode was painful.
The pod he keeps Emilie is has so far been unexplained. I don't believe she's actually dead, but in some sort of magic-induced coma that is slowly killing her. The pod seems to slow this process down but not stop it. But she's not hooked up to any life support means- no nutritional intake, no waste removal, no respiration. Yet it needs a wall outlet to run because when the mansion lost power he sent an akuma out to get power restored to turn it back on. But it seems to be there just to keep him grounded to his living wife because his wish will restore her regardless of if she's alive or dead. I think. The show needs a Breaking Bad-level of care put into the writing but at times it's still a Saturday morning cartoon with the writers barely fleshing out the world before the write an episode.
Another thing to add. When they reversed time because Gabriel made his wish, they could've used the Bunny Miraculous. I mean, it's a bit different, but it would still work, and wouldn't cause a catastrophe with time.
Um, so are we just not gonna talk about how Marinette, as ladybug, texted Luka that the bracelet was in the miracle box in her room, implying that Luka would know where her house(he does obvi) and that Marinette knows that Luka knows where her house is, so like, does she know he knows her identity or was that just a screw up in the script or what
Dearest Family made me rage quit the show. I think it was the best time to do it. There have been no consequences for anything that has happened and it is driving me crazy! Four seasons, six years, no character development, & no continuity this show had so much potential to be great. It makes me sad 😞.
I've been saying since I saw this episode that, if Luka still didn't want to tell Marinette that he knows who they both are, he could have become viperion, yelled second chance, and then just gone "hey we've done it. I know who he is now. good job". Like... she can't prove that they hadn't already done it, and it means they can still go through with this convoluted plan with no harm done
After 4 seasons, the most we got was Alya becoming an ally, Luka knowing their identities, and the entire class getting a miraculous. But nothing about Marinette and Adrien's relationship progressing. Everytime we feel there's finally a change to their relationship, it only lasts an episode
Haze had a pretty good theory: The reveal will happen after Shadowmoth is defeated. So Lila(let's be honest she is future hawkmoth) will either: A) know their identities but won't give a shit B) she won't know but won't try to find them out C) Its back to basics and Lila will be blind as fuck as Hawkmoth. In which case why even bring a second Hawkmoth if she's just as useless as the previous one. Maybe even more useless because come on, no way Gabe gives her the butterfly willingly. She won't have SIGMA FEMALE NATALIE on her side. But if she can get SIGMA MALE FELIX then hooooo boi.
This episode is basically teaching kids that you should never listen to your parents, teachers or mentors because they are just "judging you based on their fears and not on your actions"
I would like to think that Gabriel is a sentimonster created by his wife, and that Adrien is a sentimonster human hybrid, this his free will without the presence of his father.
Or it could be that the original Gabriel died and the current one was made by Emilie to replace him, which would explain the different eye color he had in Adrien's flashback during wishmaker. That would mean this Gabriel isn't even Adrien's real father, just a copy who only cares about his creator and that would explain a lot about SentiGabe's personality. Also makes more sense that his amok would be in one of the rings that way. Wish the writers' would do this instead, would be really interesting, much more than the Adrien or Felix are the sentimonster theories.

If the Gabriel this whole time was a sentimonster it would make the show so much more interesting: -it would force us to re-evaluate a character that is so despised within the fandom and realise that was never really ‘him’ -it would really define Emilie’s characteristics too even if she never wakes up i.e yes she was a grieving wife and lover but she created an obedient husband to take her place which adds a whole load of red flags. - Would make sense for the upcoming release of the prequel comic- we learn more about the real Gabriel. -add an even more tragic aspect to Gabenath. He died before their relationship could get anywhere. - and if the real Gabriel was a good person it would add tragedy to his relationship with Adrien. He died before he could raise his son, his son is always going to associate the sentimonster with him and Adrien realising that his mother was essentially abusing their son using the face of her dead husband. I really hoped he would turn out to be the sentimonster so his character inconsistencies can be written off as contradictions with his orders. But unfortunately it seem the writers aren’t going to do that.
The way gabey found out is ridiculously stupid *without* a question. But i believe this episode was actually very significant. People call this a copy of ‘Chat Blanc’ because of the reveal repeated once more in Ephemeral. Id like to view it as Chat blanc being the episode that had Adrians perspective of the reveal and how he took it in whereas Ephemeral is where Marinette learns about his identity and begins to embrace it. Or in short words her perspective. *Very different episodes considering different characters*

I remember when they said season four would be the best season....BEST SEASON WHAT? They RUINED Chloe's chance of redemption and added Zoey, they rushed mariluka and adrigami in an episode, Now Ladybug is leaving Chat behind and tells her identity to someone while always telling Chat that he can't do that then Ladybug hands out to ISTG every flipping miraculous to her classmates like this is so degrading. Now Chat just seems to be THERE but like NOT THERE like....DOING SOMETHING! Plus where the heck is LILA? I've been waiting for her to turn things around, but I do say I am pleased with Felix's episode but VERY annoyed that "Oh no their identities have been exposed time to go back in time!" happend in THIS ONE LIKE STOP TEASING US I'm SO DONE! My guess with the remake the universe part of Gabe's plan is that he probably doesn't realize that the universe has to be destroyed for his wish to work. The way it was described to me, I'm guessing that is wouldn't just be that Emilie is back either, the entire timeline would probably end up being 1000 times different than what it is in Miraculous.
I couldn't breathe from laughing this entire review. At this point I don't even care what I thought about this episode because it was all worth it hearing you rant about it.

I'll admit that it never occurred to me but once someone mentioned it i felt like there was a lot (recently) that really supports it.
Like, the animators could have been lazy in making felix, or they always planned (yeah right) to make adrien a sentimonster so his mother could have a kid and they based the kid off of her sister's so it would look genetically sound. The obsession with keeping adrien safe, but neglecting him at all other times. The ring. The fact that adrien had no childhood wish other than to be what his parents wanted (and not remembering it, which i feel is the creators embracing the sentimonster idea either to laugh at us when it isn't true or to say they always intended it). Also that he's got too many skills compared to everyone else (kagami only does fighting, but he's somehow good enough to be at her level even though he has far more responsibilities, he's fluent in everything, etc).
On the other hand, the control of adrien is different than the sentimonsters we've seen, and it seems that whoever was in possession (or maybe whoever created the sentimonster and secondary holders don't get it) of the object have a mind link. If we saw gabriel twist his ring and give a command when adrien's not around, that'd be a whole different scenario than maybe guilting adrien or using the ring as a soother.

Yeah I have been shipping ladybug and cat noir sense the very first episode of the series and for 4 seasons they are stuck in the friend zone with one of them being a hitting on kind of guy and the other a creepy stalker who donsen't even know how to talk and seeing how harsh ladybug was with cat noir throughout season 3 and 4 I I just don't see ladynoir as a perfect couple but then starting with season 5 episode 10 they finally try to get to know each other a lot better due to being free being superheroes they are finally seeing how they were truly meant for each other I don't even like andra the ice cream man sense elation he's forcing cat noir to be a boyfriend of a girl who is always pushing him off the roof just because his ice cream says so this makes him more like a false idol than a matchmaker because he is litrly putting faith in his ice cream like it's the God of matchmakers and ha I'm glad that he was able to relazie his mistake at the of the episode
On a real note: Miraculous ladybug is a great example of an awesome, incredible idea; executed horrifically, wasted on a kids show. As much as I love Adrien, the way he’s going to be portrayed when Ladybug reveals her identity to him is going to be atrocious.
Just you watch, he’s going to immediately forget all the distrustful, mean, & bordering abusive, treatment she’s given him for the past 2+ years and immediately be OK with whatever the hell she does/did.

The problem isn't that is a Kid Show, but How screenwriters see children's mindsets. They don't see them as people who can understand more serious and organized plots, but as dumb beings who accept anything. Because there is A LOT of kid shows that have better plot, better character development and consistency, then Miraculous.

The real problem is that the writers can't decide if they want Miraculous to be a kids show (repetition of plot without major character development), a family show (heavy plot with lots of character development) or animé/cartoon (plot with heavy exaggeration of emotions and humor).
1. The Chloe thing wasn't expectations being subverted, it's bad writing. Chloe had an entire season building & unraveling her character just to be dropped in the trash and completely assassinated.
2. Ephemeral is *nothing* but another memory-wipe episode, based on NOTHING. Luka keeps lying, although him hating lies wad literally his only character traits besides "hot emo guitar guy". Marinette as well, faced the end of the world bc of an identity reveal once and now what? She just wants to vibe? This makes 0 sense.
I really wanted chloe to have that redemption arch..it would've been so good i loved that scene where she opened up to ladybug and her mom...she really wanted to do a good job as queen bee :(

It is so difficult loving this show after 4 seasons of nonsense. The 100th episode showed me that if that's the potential Miraculous has, I don't think I would still be a fan when season 6 comes around. The writers really need to step up their game. Come on! If Mia and Me (a show that doesn't really have a plot) has more character development in 3 seasons than Miraculous, you know something isn't right with the writing.

There has been some actual progress such as Luka learning their identities and Felix learning Shadow Moth's. And if you look ahead at the season 4 finale episode title it's "The Last Attack of Shadow Moth" so I think we're going to see Gabriel's part of the story wrapped up this season. I'm very excited for it!

Luka seems to be so rational, so I don't see him just see him agreeing to a convoluted plan, when he knows a way easier way to do something. So the entire plot of this episode is just dumb and doesn't matter.

We can see that Gabriel has started touching his ring after Felix stole his one. Maybe it is a subconscious or conscious thing he does to make sure that his ring is with him and it has nothing to do with Adrien being a sentimonster.

I actually really like this theory! Obviously Gabriel is going to be quite protective of the last ring left since it is a memory of Emilie, so yeah this theory is good. Idk why but I absolutely despise the "Adrien being a sentimonster" theory since it would kind of ruin the plotline of the show, specially since they've already put chat noir to the side of the show in this season.

I think that they thought that the Ephemeral episode would be awesome because the Senti-Adrien theory is pushed forward, and so is the concept that LB can fall in love with CN.
I agree, it failed to really support its main strengths. I tend to agree with the idea that Thomas put forward to kill Adrien. They have ruined his character on bad plot turns.

No no, it was right that they didn't show bunnix since the situation was nothing like Chat Blanc where the world was left in ruins but rather being erased.
Adult bunnix could've disappeared cause of that reveal they did that could've caused a major rift to the future, or it could've not affected them since sass was the one handling the situation, the Miraculous of Time loops not Time and Alternate timelines itself, since just like we've seen, nothing really happened and every progress was erased, Adrien and Marinette's as well as Gabriel's.
Therefore it WAS just another what if episode where it is LITERALLY a what if episode, not like Chat Blanc where it IS a what if episode but a plot relevant one that TRULY caused a MAJOR problem in the future as well as being responsible for Marinette's trauma.
If Ladybug's plan didn't involve Viperion, Bunnix would've been there. The reason why we didn't see her is because she simply wasn't needed this time (Also because it happened so suddenly). And that's why this episode was worse than Cat Blanc. Cat Blanc made Ladybug think that they should never reveal their identities and at least ladybug remembered the fight. In Ephemeral it was just a confirmation that they shouldn't know each other's identities and none of them remembered a thing.

Man this episode was disappointing. It feel really rushed too I mean Gabriel discovering his identity after hearing him say mylady? Really? Couldn't they just make it so he saw him detransform? And they have done the fake reveal thing so much that I don't even know what they are gonna do when the actual reveal comes. I mean we already know how it will go so how are they going to do the reveal justice?
I mean your right it does take some of the suspense for the REAL reveal away, now we basically know that once Marinette discoverers CN is Adrien she’s gonna notice how she actually does like CN, and once Adrien finds out Marinette is LB he’s all of a sudden thought all that “just a friend” crap out the window and they’ll instantly kiss. And they it might all get erased because they love to troll us

In my opinion the episode was utter shit, Super overhyped and irrelevant. These reveal fake outs are getting so annoying at this point and i’m considering dropping the show if the reveal doesn’t happen by the finale, Adrien being a sentimonster is a nice touch in this episode but it’s a what if episode so it’s probably just to tease us. Also the ending was super lame. I rate this episode a 2/10 utter disappointment and boredom

Yeah. This episode is sadly not worth the respect of being the 100th episode. I mean, at least do something that benefits the storyline. In all honesty, the whole collapse of this episode was Luka's fault. I mean seriously, this boy couldn't travel back and tell Su-Han that Cat Noir was Adrien? C'mon. Not to mention that the villains were lame, both story wise and design wise. Mullock was a Flying Vault. How did it not occur to Pegasus to create a Voyage Ring on the bottom of the Vault so everything falls out? Or that Mullock could have just stole money from banks and people. Turning people into money, is not going to get you anywhere. You basically just made yourself alone in Paris. Ephemeral's design wasn't worth it either. He looks like a Pinball machine speed tile. The writers should have made him try to break his link to the ring and used his powers on Shadow Noir, that way Ladybug knew who Shadow Noir is too. In Cat Blanc, they fast forward how Ladybug and Cat Noir found Hawk Moth. Plus, Shadow Noir's outfit was straight up terrible. There was barely any butterfly or peacock resemblance. Plus where was Shadow Noir going to put the earrings on? In all honesty, they should have just told the story of the Miraculouses throughout history. And how Su-Han became a guardian. Or show the time between the destruction of the Guardian's Temple to Paris before Ladybug and Cat Noi, featuring Gabriel and Emilie's back story. Now that would have been worth the 100th episode. I love Ladybug and Cat Noir, but their storytelling is very lacking. I mean how has Ladybug not been able to create a plan to find and arrest Gabriel. It is a tragedy. She has time to make plans and gifts for Adrien, but cannot hold off her plans till after the bad guy is defeated? C'mon. Well we are here now with 6 Episodes left to air, Psycomedian, Qilin, Kuro Neko, Penalteam, Risk, and Strike Back, which hopefully will end by New Years.

I feel most interested in what Gabriel was even going to see Adrien for....He rarely ever goes to Adrien's room, mostly sending his many underlings, so what could he possibly want?
Very bad episode - script recycled from "Cat Blanc" is one thing, but Gabe's wish potentially erasing the whole world closes doors to many interesting outcomes of his plotline. For example it's almost impossible for his wife to return as a villain cuz her resurrection is death for everyone, not the disaster the heroes could fight against after losing to our moth-themed baddie.

Luka didnt even have to go through with the plan OR reveal that he knew already to Ladybug. All he had to do was go there, activate second chance, and then say "we already did it, I know who he is". She would have no way of knowing he didnt actually reset time.
Of course that doesnt matter either, because all Marinette would have had to do is explain the situation to Chat and have him find Su Han and tell him his identity in person. Or explain the plan about Luka finding out to him. Or explain anything to him.
But I guess they would be equal partners then, and that would be a travesty.

What happened to no filler? This episode does nothing for the plot cause it's all wiped by the end. Luka already knows their identities so that doesn't even add to the plot. Why was this made? (Besides fan service)

I wish we’d gotten a little of Alya reacting to this whole thing since she learned Ladybug’s identity before Luka. Like, I’d enjoy seeing them team up as a sort of auxiliary team that acts like a go-between for the main duo, even tho Luka knows both Marinette and Adrien’s alter egos. She’s already a sort of “eye-in-the-sky” for Ladybug when she needs covert support, but she also is a permanent holder.
Still tho, I’m left wondering about Nino’s role if Luka is the one to discover Adrien’s alter ego and not him. We got a reverse of some sort in the Rocketear episode but that wasn’t really even a good progression of the narrative. Not only was the way that even happened contrived from the start, but there is nothing gained from this discovery for Adrien besides potential fallout from learning that Ladybug allows Nino and Alya to know each other’s identities. For now it kinda feels like something Adrien has to keep from Ladybug in order for Nino to remain as Carapace since Nino didn’t know he was actually ratting out both his and Alya’s identities to Chat Noir. On top of that, Rena Rouge publicly retired as far as Chat Noir knows, yet she reveals that she’s still Rena Furtive to Nino because it’s actually not a big deal if only the two of them know (even tho Nino literally just revealed their identities to Adrien).
It’s not like Chat Noir can grant Nino or Alya their Miraculous at will either since he doesn’t have access to the Miracle Box and Alya is already a permanent holder. The way this set up was written is a complete mess with almost no way of straightening out or working to a net advantage for the heroes. It would’ve made sense for Alya to know Ladybug (while remaining Rena Furtive) and Nino to know Chat Noir, with Luka knowing both and serving as a go-between for both Alya and Nino.
At this point, what you have is Alya/Rena Furtive knowing Marinette/Ladybug, Luka knowing both Ladybug and Chat Noir, and Nino knowing Alya/Rena Furtive with Adrien knowing both HIS and Alya’s identities (former in Alya’s case since Rena Rouge is now Rena Furtive).
How could that work in a crisis? Adrien could watch Nino’s back from Akumatizations but that’s not too far removed from the current situation, even if he puts extra focus to it.
Nino could back-up and call up Alya for anything he catches or something she needs to relay to Ladybug but that’s sorta it. He can’t watch Chat Noir’s back when he’s Adrien. Also he kinda doesn’t like Chat Noir, but idk if that’s been resolved since learning he wasn’t actually trying to get with Alya as Rena Rouge.
Alya has the best deal with acting as the confidant for Ladybug, and backing her up for Guardian responsibilities and tracking Hawkmoth. She could’ve been a go-between for Ladybug and Chat Noir’s alter-egos but no one really fills the role besides…
Luka, who only is aware of both their identities, yet neither Marinette or Adrien know that he knows. If he knew Alya/Rena Furtive they could get a chain of information going and reserve heroes at the ready. The way everything has been written so far, Nino can’t actually fit here.
It should’ve been Alya is a permanent holder who knows who Ladybug and Carapace is, but not Chat Noir. Nino could’ve known who Chat Noir and Rena Furtive was, but not Ladybug. Nino and Alya would know each other’s identities and respective Miraculous Holder status, but not have revealed that they know the actual identities of their best pals. At this point, we could have Luka see both Chat and Ladybug’s identities and deduce that Alya and Nino have the most interaction with Ladybug and Chat Noir respectively (he could know Rena and Carapace or not, it wouldn’t matter; if he knows he’ll go to them instead of Marinette or Adrien directly cause he knows they each told Alya and Nino in confidence and they’re the best friends of each - if he doesn’t know then it’ll be because he learns that he catches on that Alya and Nino are the Jimmy Olsen to Ladybug and Chat Noir’s Superman and serve as a go-between between both parties

I had this same question. I believe that Marinette assumed that Luka would figure out it was her, since she's one of his close friends and everyone knows she likes sewing. She only had seconds left and that was her only option.
@@MadameDinoLady It's a massive plot hole that's ironically easy to fix if we just pretend the text came from Marinette and not Ladybug. Even if Luka didn't know Ladybug's identity, it would've been an instant click Marinette knows about Sass. In this particular case, it was "safe" to reveal her identity, since Sass rewinding time by himself would make both of them lose their memories, Marinette just didn't know Luka already knew beforehand.
The real issue though, is that we, the audience, shouldn't be fixing the narrative through headcanons or theories. The writing is just bad.

I think this episode wasn't the worst episode. I agree with you for the majority of the things you said, i liked marinette behavior when she learns that cat noir is adrien because it actually made sense which is not guaranteed with Marinette. i like the execution of things: it was fast how ladybug and cat noir got togheter but i guess it's ok this time. The only thing i don't understand is why is Sass the one who used his powers? Luka could have wore the bunny miracoulus and travel back in time to stop himself or ladybug before she learns cat noir's identity ( this reasoning could aply to hawk moth in the season 3 finale when he had the miracle box and he could have taken the bunny miracoulus and saved Emily end of the story). I agree that is so frustraiting things reset once more i wonder if this is a way for the authors to know which identity revelation is more successful to not take the risk but even then it takes away any hype i could have had for the reavelation because we already saw three possible scenarios.

I hated how marinette seems to hate the idea that she may be in love with Chat Noir, when she clearly said in one of "Miraculous Secrets" episode, that if adrien didnt exist, she could "see chat noir diffently"
I think that this episode was more-so to answer questions than to affect the plot, one of the people who work on the show said that it has some foreshadowing for season 5.

I am still holding on to this show for two reason: Marinette's and Adrian's character arcs. I feel like the only way Marinette can be the best Ladybug (and guardian) is when she matures and learns the difference between obsession and love. That way when she finds out who Cat Noir really is, she will not make these kind of mistakes out of some desperate attempt to be with him. As for Adrian, he is obsessed over Ladybug too, but his real problem is his father. Both Cat Blanc and Ephemeral prove that Adrian is not mentally strong enough to handle the situation of his father being the main villain because deep down he wants his back mother too. Hell, is childhood dream is to be what his parents want him to be! If these two have any chance of getting into a relationship and successfully revealing their secret IDs to each other, Gabriel would have to be put to justice first and both heroes would have to suffer some kind of lost.
I am kind of hoping that it ends like this. During the final struggle: both learn their secret IDs, Gabriel see the errors of his ways, Gabriel sacrifices his existence for his wife, Adrian gets his mother back, but loses his father, Marinette learns from Gabriel's example, and learns what the consequences of being obsessed with someone can lead to. In the end, Marinette gives Adrian the proper space he needs to grieve and decides that she just wants what is best for Adrian and that is not a relationship or being Cat Noir for the moment.
And while they are all distracted, the butterfly miraculous falls into the next villain's hands. Once Adrian is strong enough again, Marinette and Adrian become the dream team we all want. Afterall, knowing each others secret ID can creates just as many problems.

Gabriel obtained the power to rewrite reality and it was undone by a kwami…. I remember when Gabriel was more like Mr. Freeze and less like Thanos. I liked him as a Mr. Freeze-like character. And the fact that Kwamis can cancel out absolute power to rewrite reality, is just disappointing altogether

Also, I was hoping by the end of the episode that Luka would be Adriens friend since marionette has legit alya and all the kwamis and even A WARRIOR DUDE whatever you McCall it. BUT NOPE! The episode ended with Adrien not GETTING A FRIEND!!!! Which made me mad, because I had hope…
I kinda wish when Sass' power was out of control, the stuff that happened in ephemeral would play inside Adrien's mind but blurry.
That would've been a neat thing- especially since the other ep thats like this (Chat Blanc) Marinette remembers that Chat got akumatized and fought him (but not the reveal) so Adrian having a blurry memory of the events would be a nice flip side of that- also we could've gotten some amazing dialogue about akumatization and how it feels/affects the person it happens to from a first person viewpoint!

Honestly, I'm really glad this video came out. I was EXTREMELY underwhelmed and disappointed with this episode, but I'm getting berated for saying that. The Miraculous fandom on Tumblr is a shitshow right now with people making vageposts that are essentially harassing the people who don't like this episode and calling them stupid and entitled for not liking it... Gives me the same bad feelings as being gaslit, to be honest. Why can't people just accept that others don't like this episode and are tired of getting baited into a reveal? Why can't people just accept that some of us aren't exclusively here to cheer on the love square and we actually want the plot to progress?
This was a massive disappointment for me.
I knew it was a what if episode and even just hearing that when the creators and ambassadors had been hyping this up as the most important episode before it was even made was already disappointing, but then I tried to have hope anyway because why would the entire staff hype this up SO much if it didn't have a huge impact? Then it all ends up being meaningless and literally no one remembers a damn thing, not even the Kwamis. Awful. Everything throughout the episode felt way too rushed because of how it's such a short runtime of like 22 minutes max, and I think this could've worked a lot better as maybe an hour long special (which, you know, it should've been anyway, given that it was the "most important episode in the season").
Luka in particular was kind of terrible in this episode. Like you said in the video, there's no reason for him to not tell Marinette that he already knows Chat Noir's identity and the whole plan was useless, unless he was worried that Marinette would be upset with him for lying earlier or something, but I feel like that'd be uncharacteristically and incredibly selfish of him. It also kind of ruined Wishmaker a little for me, which really hurt because that's without a doubt my favorite episode in S4 and maybe favorite overall too, and yet the major plot point in that episode seems to have actually had no impact given how it didn't matter AT ALL here besides a singular moment where he's able to tell her to love Chat Noir too, basically. Ephemeral was meant to be the biggest and most impactful episode in a season where "every episode has a major plot point" (which, by the way, just sounds so dumb considering how that's how MOST shows operate anyway and Miraculous was always so lazy with its plot and now suddenly wants to act all high and mighty about having one) and yet all it really did was act as a filler whose only impact was maybe that it essentially took what actually WAS a pretty big plot point and made it useless.
Ephemeral himself only existing onscreen for maybe two minutes max was also hugely disappointing. He's your title akuma; show us a little less of Marinette hating on Chat Noir (I get that she doesn't have romantic feelings for him, but this episode really made it seem like she actively disliked him when comparing him to Adrien yet before now that's never been the case) and more of him actually having some use in the episode. I liked that even as an akuma he was still clearly resisting internally and was so uncomfortable with what he was doing, but they didn't actually show enough of that for it to really mean much to me. Same with Adrien finding his mother's corpse. At least have him say something about it. He just stares in poorly-animated shock (seriously, his expression just felt so bleh in what should be a horrifying moment for him) for a few seconds and then Gabe akumatizes him in his biggest moment of trauma like the dearest abusive dad he is.
The only genuinely good part of the episode for me was actually seeing emphasis placed on his ring. I like the senti!adrien theory a lot and think it maybe kind of redeems Adrien's many Gary Stu character aspects since sentimonsters are meant to be perfect and Adrien is always called and acts perfect, so seeing little hints towards that was really nice, especially knowing how the writers are acutely aware of the theory. However, this episode has killed any remaining faith I had left in said writers, and I'm almost fully convinced that this is just a red herring and it doesn't really mean anything (like Gabe just rubs the ring because it was Emilie's and Adrien reminds him of her in those moments or something else stupid) because the writers are never going to have the confidence to actually do something so impactful, especially not when most of the fanbase would whine and cry because oh no perfect boy isn't human even though he's fundamentally the exact same and sentimonsters of humans have been treated as humans before (see Bugette/Sentibug).
This episode felt so manipulative because the writers and ambassadors KNEW that this had no meaning, yet they hyped it up as such a big deal and put all the "reveal moments" in the trailer because they knew it'd excite everyone and get them so many clicks and watches. The show was made based on the idea of a love square and the writers have dragged it out for this long because it rakes in so much money. The plot is slow and repetitive and boring because it was an afterthought; the main story is "girl loves boy but boy loves other girl who is actually first girl and they don't know huh huh" and they're going to milk that forever because they can just keep baiting this young, impressionable fanbase into watching every episode and teasing a reveal that it's so hard to even care about anymore. It just hurts at this point. I liked this show in Season 1 because there wasn't really a plot outside of each individual episode so at least it was shameless about being a cashgrab. This, however, is plain manipulation, and since MLB's fanbase is so young it really just feels so icky.

@@Raya-ir4tm I get all that, though I do also think none of the characters have really been developed and they all really exist solely as plot points. Marinette is the only one with a fleshed out personality, really, and even then does she actually have a character arc or anything? She has flaws that are explored in the show (not always in the best ways but at least they exist) but nothing about her really changes other than the fact that I guess she’s less clumsy now (but I think that’s also mostly just the writers trying to get away from that gag little by little). She’s not a developed character but she’s clearly not intended to be a static character either, she’s just a poorly written MC with an even more poorly written supporting cast.
I mostly called Adrien “perfect” because that’s been a big point of emphasis with sentimonsters and with Adrien. Bugette was considered a perfect creation, one that I’m pretty sure Ladybug and Chat Noir and Hawkmoth all acknowledged as such. She had no flaws and was a carbon copy of Ladybug, made exactly as intended. Adrien is constantly called perfect by Marinette, Ladybug, his millions of fans and followers, and, most notably to me, Gabriel emphasizes that his son is perfect whenever possible. It just seems like they’re making all these parallels between Adrien’s almost impossible perfection in the eyes of literally everyone and the perfection of sentimonsters to say hey, there’s something going on here.
I’m not really arguing against your point; it wouldn’t surprise me at all to learn that they used the sentimonster theory as an excuse to be so lazy (or, well, it would surprise me to learn that they used the senti theory at all because I seriously doubt they’ve got the confidence OR competence) but mostly just so I can explain why I called him perfect instead of one-dimensional (which is still correct) lol.
It’s almost impressive how a show that relies so heavily on having good characters (because really, we’re all here for a constantly teased relationship between two characters, not the plot that they shoved together just to make it seem like a real show) is just so bad at writing literally any of them. Marinette is the only one that feels like a human being and even then just barely. It’s just depressing at this point.
And yeah, Astruc’s obsession with being “feminist” has basically just turned into him being offensive at this point. No one wants a lone female protagonist who does things all on her own while everyone else just sits idly, we want a female protagonist who’s actually a good character surrounded by other good characters. With that one blatantly racist and borderline uhh p//dophilic comic Astruc put out I’m almost of the belief that he isn’t actually making this show to be feminist but to get money and to fulfill some weird fantasies or whatever. I just don’t see how you can say you support women and then create something like that.

I personally believe that this episode and ep 21 is proof the the wish will be made in the season finale since we don't actually get to see SM make his wish and this time that snake was used to undo things instead of the rabbit. For me the only thing that could save this show would be is the bad guy wins and the Universe is remade.
I didn’t believe the Adrien being a sentimonster theory. It didn’t have any evidence, it was only really a hypothesis. Gabriel’s twisting of the ring came across as him getting a mixture of anxious/pissed when he didn’t get what he wanted. But then this episode came out
I agree with almost everything you said about the episode. For Ephemeral being the 100th episode and a really hyped up episode. The episode was pretty disappointing. This episode just feels rushed and a mess. Chat Blanc is a better episode than Ephemeral IMO. I feel like the whole Adrien and Marinette being a thing wasn't as cringe as in Chat Blanc at least. I knew the reveal wasn't going to actually happen but I didn't know if it would be Luka or Bunnix fixing it. The biggest thing that I really didn't like about this episode is Ephemeral and Shadow Noir are only in the episode for like a minute. Why even called the episode Ephemeral if he's hardly in the episode? It would've been nice to see Shadow Noir in action.
I honestly think the reason I don't really find enjoyment in this show anymore is because it feels like there's no payoff no matter what happens in the show. I don't just mean Adrien and Marinette's relationship, too. Luka and Kagami didn't really do much. We already know who ends up with who, Marinette still acted the same way around Adrien (if anything Kagami showed just who badly written Marinette is as a character). Lila never really added much to the story, despite how much build-up she and Gabriel had. New heroes are added, but it barely means anything anymore as it did back in season one. These are things that actually were there for the "plot" but have barely added anything!!!
This show had so much potential but at this point, I get more enjoyment in reading fanfiction based on the show than the actual show because those stories at least have a plot with a payoff.

Luka Character Development was Subtle But Brilliant. Luka has Been a Person who Believes Truth is Important above all else. And when the Opportunity Arrives for Ladybug to Learn Catnoir Identity he keeps Quiet about it. He Knows this Secret is Important to Marrinette. He is Fully aware tje Marrinette loves Adrien and Probably wont go through with the Plan but he Allows her to do it anyway. He is a Romantic and Still Believes Truth is More important than Lies. And while Sass Has Gone Back in time and Prevented everyone from knowing the Consequences of this Decision. Luka is Aware the Sass Literally almost Broke the World to prevent these two from knowing their identity. Luka now knows more than Ever that sometimes Lies are Needed to Keep People Safe. Plus Luka truly was the MVP this Episode. When he First Debut who thought he would be the One to Literally Save the World. Not Me. Definitely became my favorite Character.
If this was truly character development for Luka, he would've told Ladybug Chat's identity, since he solely believes in truth, but after witnessing the consequences, he reversed it. He could've been the catalyst of this episode instead of Su-han, but instead, I feel like he's undeveloped as always. The events in Wishmaker had 0 effects on his character, and I feel like he was extremely wasted in this episode. I don't care if he was being 'romantic' by not telling Ladybug the truth, he could've spared so much time and effort. Also, he didn't have to tell Ladybug he knew her identity too, he didn't even need to tell her Chat's identity! He could've just told Su-han, and Ladybug wouldn't have to know anything! I think, the only reason Luka was included in this episode, is so that everything could be reversed.

In a Weird way Luka Just wants Ladybug to Know that He Knows without telling her that He Lied He She ask him Last time does he Know their Identities. Luka was playing a Long Con. He wants them to tell him the Truth not just say hey i Know this Secret you been hiding.
@KavinCatastrophe He isn't spilling it to some rando, he could've told it to a professional who knew how to keep secrets. Also, he could've said he only knew CHAT's true identity, so he wouldn't stress Ladybug out. He's not particularly close to Adrien, so this would've been so easy for him to do. At least, better than following a convoluted plan

@KavinCatastrophe If that's true, then that is uncharacteristically selfish of him. Ladybug already said time and time again why it's important that both her and Chat should keep their identities secret, why would Luka think that they will reveal their identities to him, especially Mari, who was the one who enforced the rule? I know this may be unintentional, but this episode makes Luka come off as entitled and irresponsible. He valued Marinette's identity, more than his role as a superhero, and almost risked Ladybug's position as Guardian
10:46 Speaking of, Why didn't Luca just use the bunny miraculous to reverse time without consequences? it's not like he couldn't do it. and as for "it would take too much TIME" no, it wouldn't because that whole transformation-song-theme only happens in OUR eyes, for them transformations take seconds.
And also, there are so many potential storylines that this episode could have explored. For example, Adrian hates Camembert cheese, but his room is full of it. Couldn't Gabriel explore why?
Or, Adrian could have been conflicted about knowing that the person he loves is Marinette, who he views as just a friend.
Or, after the reveal Adrian and Marinette just could have been caught up in their relationship and neglected their duties to save Paris.
So many paths left unexplored

honestly, for me, it was disappointing for me because if I wasn't told afterward that this was the hundredth episode I wouldn't have known. It failed as that. And it was a cheap replay of Chat blanc. An episode I personally loved.
I agree, this was the perfect opportunity for them to use what they started with Luka learning their secret identities & avoid the convoluted mess of this episode. Especially, when they go as far as making him suggest that "wouldn't it be safer" if he got Adrien's secret identity himself? - when ladybug mentioned he CatNoir would only open up to her, that was the exact moment he should've mentioned that, well, he already knows. This whole episode was painful.
"A wasted potential" Yeah, that´s pretty much Miraculous Ladybug in a nutshell.
The pod he keeps Emilie is has so far been unexplained. I don't believe she's actually dead, but in some sort of magic-induced coma that is slowly killing her. The pod seems to slow this process down but not stop it. But she's not hooked up to any life support means- no nutritional intake, no waste removal, no respiration. Yet it needs a wall outlet to run because when the mansion lost power he sent an akuma out to get power restored to turn it back on. But it seems to be there just to keep him grounded to his living wife because his wish will restore her regardless of if she's alive or dead. I think. The show needs a Breaking Bad-level of care put into the writing but at times it's still a Saturday morning cartoon with the writers barely fleshing out the world before the write an episode.
Another thing to add.
When they reversed time because Gabriel made his wish, they could've used the Bunny Miraculous. I mean, it's a bit different, but it would still work, and wouldn't cause a catastrophe with time.

Dearest Family made me rage quit the show. I think it was the best time to do it. There have been no consequences for anything that has happened and it is driving me crazy! Four seasons, six years, no character development, & no continuity this show had so much potential to be great. It makes me sad 😞.

I've been saying since I saw this episode that, if Luka still didn't want to tell Marinette that he knows who they both are, he could have become viperion, yelled second chance, and then just gone "hey we've done it. I know who he is now. good job". Like... she can't prove that they hadn't already done it, and it means they can still go through with this convoluted plan with no harm done

After 4 seasons, the most we got was Alya becoming an ally, Luka knowing their identities, and the entire class getting a miraculous. But nothing about Marinette and Adrien's relationship progressing. Everytime we feel there's finally a change to their relationship, it only lasts an episode

The reveal will happen after Shadowmoth is defeated.
So Lila(let's be honest she is future hawkmoth) will either:
A) know their identities but won't give a shit
B) she won't know but won't try to find them out
C) Its back to basics and Lila will be blind as fuck as Hawkmoth. In which case why even bring a second Hawkmoth if she's just as useless as the previous one. Maybe even more useless because come on, no way Gabe gives her the butterfly willingly. She won't have SIGMA FEMALE NATALIE on her side. But if she can get SIGMA MALE FELIX then hooooo boi.
This episode is basically teaching kids that you should never listen to your parents, teachers or mentors because they are just "judging you based on their fears and not on your actions"
Miraculous Ladybug and Wasted Potential

I would like to think that Gabriel is a sentimonster created by his wife, and that Adrien is a sentimonster human hybrid, this his free will without the presence of his father.
I actually like this, and would be able to live with this being true, rather than complete SentiAdrien.
Or it could be that the original Gabriel died and the current one was made by Emilie to replace him, which would explain the different eye color he had in Adrien's flashback during wishmaker. That would mean this Gabriel isn't even Adrien's real father, just a copy who only cares about his creator and that would explain a lot about SentiGabe's personality. Also makes more sense that his amok would be in one of the rings that way. Wish the writers' would do this instead, would be really interesting, much more than the Adrien or Felix are the sentimonster theories.

@@jagerdynes6495 bro I actually wish this was true. If the Gabriel this whole time was a sentimonster it would make the show so much more interesting:
-it would force us to re-evaluate a character that is so despised within the fandom and realise that was never really ‘him’
-it would really define Emilie’s characteristics too even if she never wakes up i.e yes she was a grieving wife and lover but she created an obedient husband to take her place which adds a whole load of red flags.
- Would make sense for the upcoming release of the prequel comic- we learn more about the real Gabriel.
-add an even more tragic aspect to Gabenath. He died before their relationship could get anywhere.
- and if the real Gabriel was a good person it would add tragedy to his relationship with Adrien. He died before he could raise his son, his son is always going to associate the sentimonster with him and Adrien realising that his mother was essentially abusing their son using the face of her dead husband.
I really hoped he would turn out to be the sentimonster so his character inconsistencies can be written off as contradictions with his orders. But unfortunately it seem the writers aren’t going to do that.
This is the only way I’ll accept a senti-Adrien plot line.
The way gabey found out is ridiculously stupid *without* a question. But i believe this episode was actually very significant. People call this a copy of ‘Chat Blanc’ because of the reveal repeated once more in Ephemeral. Id like to view it as Chat blanc being the episode that had Adrians perspective of the reveal and how he took it in whereas Ephemeral is where Marinette learns about his identity and begins to embrace it. Or in short words her perspective. *Very different episodes considering different characters*
The writers said that the script they wrote needed two episodes so they had to cut so many scenes they are disapponted as we are

They pulled a “The Last Jedi” on us. Ephemeral was labeled as the 100th episode that should get fans hyped about, but it was greatly losing expectations.
I remember when they said season four would be the best season....BEST SEASON WHAT? They RUINED Chloe's chance of redemption and added Zoey, they rushed mariluka and adrigami in an episode, Now Ladybug is leaving Chat behind and tells her identity to someone while always telling Chat that he can't do that then Ladybug hands out to ISTG every flipping miraculous to her classmates like this is so degrading. Now Chat just seems to be THERE but like NOT THERE like....DOING SOMETHING! Plus where the heck is LILA? I've been waiting for her to turn things around, but I do say I am pleased with Felix's episode but VERY annoyed that "Oh no their identities have been exposed time to go back in time!" happend in THIS ONE LIKE STOP TEASING US I'm SO DONE! But I did like one thing from this episode, Chat noir being himself.....that made me smile but IT'S KINDA HORRIBLE THAT LADYBUG WAS GOING TO USE HIS IDENTITY FOR HER PLAN IN SECRET LIKE WTF? Anyways, next season better be so great...BY GREAT i MEAN ACUALLY GOOD. This season has me mad and I've loved this show for years but it's getting on my nerves!
My guess with the remake the universe part of Gabe's plan is that he probably doesn't realize that the universe has to be destroyed for his wish to work. The way it was described to me, I'm guessing that is wouldn't just be that Emilie is back either, the entire timeline would probably end up being 1000 times different than what it is in Miraculous.
