And so the cyberpunk era of cars begins. The design looks amazing, the middle driving position is really interesting, but it draws some questions about security, like being able to integrate seat belts seamlessly. Of course it’s a concept car, but it would be interesting to see how a production car looks like.
On the other side, it wasn’t specified, but this much space in the cabin would only seem to be possible with an electric engine configuration. I’d also love to see how this integrates with Lotus’s low weight, fun car concept.
Without a doubt the future’s here and I’m all for it!

5:52 "This is what a Lotus always should be" is an unfortunate phrase. The Lotus founder Colin Chapman once said "Simplify, then add lightness", and THAT is what a lotus always should be. The drift from his words that Lotus has taken over the years is a disgrace, ditching the original brand's ethos in favor of commercial appeal, loosing its identity with no care. This is a proof that Lotus died with Colin Chapman, and today we are greeted with this: a Lamborghini Gallardo rip off with futuristic deformation, heavy, electric and complicated.

@chrisjames7803 not really, a full scale concept study is useful to iron out the kinks of the design. Ofc they have made the 3d model first and foremost, but you could only see and feel so much through a screen. Anyway, more and more of these fullscale studies were made using recyclable materials to push your agendas, so you should be celebrating it

Cool, but what exactly is next? Another SUV? Another big GT weighing 2.5 tons? Is all this work going to be wasted for better speakers in a new, heavy SUV?
I assume that making a production car exactly like this would be very expensive and unprofitable. But that was the idea - that SUVs and GTs would make money, and sports cars would give fun to users and satisfaction to their creators. Without this, Lotus will lose its sense of existence and will be just a name for Chinese EVs.
