Can’t thank you enough for putting all these Stones collection’s together. I have everyone of them saved to a Stones playlist on TH-cam. So many incredible pictures. Thanks for sharing. Cheers ✌️

Thanks for posting this. I attended one of the Anaheim shows. They came onstage at 5:00 or so after a long and hot day. Most of us arrived the night before to rush the stage when the gates opened. Some of us took Black Beauties to stay up all night. The Outlaws and Peter Tosh also played.

Awesome job putting this together my friend... This was the first year I saw the rolling Stones in my lifelong addiction.
JFK stadium June 17th 1978.. thank God my life hasn't been the same since.

Prior to the Stones taking the stage a helicopter flew over the Oakland Coliseum and dropped this huge load of ping pong balls on the crowd. The ping pong balls had the Stones logo on it. I’ve still got mine! Thanks for creating this series - absolutely love it! On to 1981!!

Anyone remember all the shoes being thrown on the field that July Sunday in 1978 at Anaheim Stadium ????

First stadium we ever attended. 7-23-78. Etta James in a lime green leisure suit, Peter Tosh toking on stage. Stones' opened with Let it Rock, which I'd never heard. And yeah it did feel like it might be the end because of Keith and Toronto.

Since nobody has mentioned it yet I will.... some of us who were in attendance at these 1978 Stones shows experienced a little bit of a feeling of dread. Keith Richards was facing heroin trafficking charges in Toronto and there was a real possibility that this was (really) the last Stones tour. Always wondered if they gave it a little extra effort at the final Oakland performance knowing what might be in store. 😎

This does not even compare to the 72 or 73 Stones tours. They took an incredible step down when Mick Taylor left, never the same

They gave their all every night, even when it didn't go so well like night two in Anaheim, CA. I heard first hand reports that the magic was just not there that night, and the shoes tossed at the stage was in response to a very messy incoherent set with poor sound. Maybe there is a boot that proves otherwise.

If you listen to the boot - "Return to Liver" - the Stones are actually red hot.

@@johnsmith-zi2vo Glad to hear that all the shoes thrown at the band was out of respect and appreciation rather than disappointment.

Bullshit. Me and Woody were there at Anaheim stadium both shows. When Mick was singing Beast Of Burden, and sang "with no shoes on my feet" one person threw their shoes on stage and Mick quipped 'alright, we'll have everybody's shoes then" that's when the Kaleidoscope of shoes was thrown upon the stage from every direction! UNFORGETTABLE!! BOTH DAYS IT WAS HOT AS HELL TOO.
      UNFORGETTABLE!

In the case of the Stones the clothes really do make the man and with the (exception of Keith) the clothes were awful.

@@blondeboywilson9221 my first show was 75 and last saw them in 2021 . The outfit on 78 was punkish. Keith kept the same look in 81 while MJ went to the football pants and Jersey. By 89 Keith was still in the jeans and MJ was having wardrobe changes . Bill and Charlie were always pretty tame but Charlie ( rip) was an impeccable dresser off stage. Remember times are different and the casual fan wants a show so they dress more Vegas now which I don’t care for but heck, they are pushing 80 . Regardless i e never been disappointed as they always put on a great show as long as you are not expecting the 72 Stones .
