Unlike Tyler I was a cradle Catholic. My parents decided (rightly so) that I should be baptized. I was and attended Catholic School for grade 6 through grade 12. I graduated from Catholic high school and went to College. While at College I initially got involved with the University Catholic life center and attended Mass there for a couple years. Afterwards I slowly drifted away until I never attended Mass during my Senior year in college. After College I drifted into various Protestant communities but never felt at home. I’m back home now and I’m so thankful. I adore the Mass and Love the Eucharist!!

I think the "softness" towards the Lord that you noticed in the Catholic Church is humility. As a convert from Judaism, this gentleness and meekness in Catholic men, including priests, really impressed me, because I was recovering from an abusive marriage. I never felt intimidated or threatened by a Catholic. My experience encountering the Lord was the same. He is meek, gentle, humble, even though He's all powerful.

I have an older German that when a child scaped from nazi Berlin to Checoslovaquia were she said the most pious people were catholic even though they risk their lives to help them as her father was a prisioner because he was an opponent to the Nazi regime. And this 500 catholic pious element is very enrooted in our Mexican mentality for example. The Spanish came to conquer but the Catholic missionaries were pious and the balance against the conquerers during the colonial period. You can see protestants in North America exterminated the native while Catholic Spain didn't. We were colonized but we're convertedby the missionary but not imposed and once converted we were equal to the Spaniards legally of course in practice there was some racism and there was servidum though Spaniards married native women pretty fast. So we are 80% mixed raced. All Latin America.

Truly, what a shame. From one deception unto another.
Sir, you have been through quite the experience, but you have only ended up in another deception, that of Catholicism.
You do not need to research "Church history" to find out which is the church of Jesus Christ; all one needs to do is read the scriptures (KJV for English speakers) and it is made plain who those are that are of that church.
Verily, there are no denominations in the Church of Jesus Christ, for Christ is not divided. However, the scriptures speak entirely against the religious institution that is the Catholic Church. Many of her teachings, practices and doctrines are not only no where written in the scriptures, but they are also anti-Christ. Those who follow her ways shall perish.
      *Proverbs 5:1-6 (KJV)*
1 My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:
2 That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
5 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.
6 Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.
Heed the warnings of God, the ways of the strange woman are moveable, they are deceitful. She has many forms, she has many faces, and she will come to you in any form she can to deceive you and to convince you to follow after her. If you are not grounded on the word of God, her words will seem pleasant and good, but her end is death, and so is the end of those who follow her. I speak this not only of the Catholic church.
      *Colossians 2:8*
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
This is the Catholic church and her daughters, the Protestants. They lean on their own wisdom, on Philosophy (which is Theology) to understand God; this they do in vain. They follow after the traditions of men, instead of following Christ. None that are of her shall enter into the kingdom of God.
There are many lies in the world, but there is only one truth; and the Lord Jesus declared that he is the way, the truth and the life.
If you, or anyone that comes across this comment, are desirous to learn of the gospel of Christ, that they may be saved from their sins and become Christians, then, by the grace of God, I am here to serve you in this matter.

@@CatholicDefender-bp7myCorrect, Jesus sent His Apostles to spread the Gospel which started as words because there was no bible yet at the time, only the Old Testament. The Apostles traveled far and wide to different nations, that’s why it became the Universal (Catholic) Church. 300 years later is when the Catholic Christians got together to put the Bible together.

I think Tyler's better quote should have been GK Chesterton when he said that when you approach the Catholic Church with an open mind, it's game over.
The turning point for most converts is simply deciding to listen to the Church with an open mind, accepting the reality that prejudice and false assumptions could have blinded us to the truth.
“It is impossible to be just to the Catholic Church. The moment a man ceases to pull against it he feels a tug towards it. The moment he ceases to shout it down he begins to listen to it with pleasure. The moment he tries to be fair to it he begins to be fond of it.”
G.K. Chesterton, “The Catholic Church and Conversion”

So I also get caught up in the intellectual side of things and after years of going down the new age path and conspiracy theories on my journey to the truth, I saw myself becoming less of a happy person. So listening to you two, I asked the Holy Spirit to give me a verse and I opened to Ecclesiastes and Chapter 1 really fits well with this whole conversation. The last two verses of Chapter 1 is: “And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is a vexation of spirit . For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.” Just wow!

I really like these two, and the different ideas/viewpoints they bring to the conversation. Never heard of a Cradle Catholic, but I guess I know I am one now, ha. Though I got into the the more Theological side as a young man briefly, I have a want now to explore that more. Never heard of Fr. Gaitley, St Louis Marie de Montfort or Fr. Maximilian Kolbe. Thank you for introducing me to them, I will endeavour to explore their writings!

    • @RitaGatton
      @RitaGatton 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Saint Maximilian Kolbe was a Polish Franciscan priest who was a prisoner in Auschwitz. A prisoner escaped and the guards condemned ten men to death in retribution. One of the men, Franciszek Gajowniczek, began saying, "My children, my children." Father Maximillian volunteered to die in the man's place and was condemned to be starved to death. When he did not die after ten days, the German guard gave him a shot of poison. In the 1990's, Mr. Gojowniczek came to the Cathedral in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I live, and spoke through a translator. I went there to hear him. Saint Maximillian was very devoted to Our Blessed Mother. He started a printing operation to print pamphlets about her. He also started a Franciscan apostolate to Japan. Then, he returned to Poland and World War II broke out. You can still visit his cell in Auschwitz.

In your 1st video, you made an incorrect comment..." the Modern Catholic Church. There is no Modern Catholic Church or Traditional Catholic Church... there is only ONE Holy Apostolic Catholic Church. You might not be an authentic Catholic if you attend the V2 Novus Ordo service. The Tridentine mass, the actual name for the Latin mass, was codified at the Council of Trent in the 1500s to secure the Mass after the destruction of the Protestant Revolution. It said no part of the mass can be changed, not one tiny piece(my words) and anything under 200 years old was invalid. With all the reading you've done, consider reading Church history. Don't be so quick to condemn Sedevacantis. Their parishes have validity ordained priests and valid sacraments. The Church has lived many heresies, and V2 and the Novus Ordo might just be another one. Furthermore, there is no way the atrocity of St Patrick's "trans funeral " would have happened in an authentic Catholic Tridentine parish. You can't think that what happened is not connected to NO. and it's "Modern" mindset.
