Thank you. My late husband was a DJ. He was enamoured of STAX and educated a lot of listeners to STAX. There was NO music quite like STAX at the time. My late husband, a highly respected DJ, did his Homework and educated British Soul music to the masses.
My interest in STAX is such that I'm privileged to write this piece..
His Mantra was ' If it's STAX, it's bound to be Good.

Its hard to believe that only a few cities have record stores. Wonderful when you find one.

One of these days I have to get down to Memphis and check all this out. I was a Founding Member of The Stax Museum.

Great video and great "mini tour" but I would say "What about Burnt Biscuits by the Triumphs or Gee Whiz by Carla Thomas?" Both were hits before Green Onions? And on that list of folks who were there at the beginning...Chips Moman (5:24) who produced many of these early records is always left out-I guess because of his big split with the Axtons to form American Sound but still his work at Satellite/Volt/Stax can't be ignored. So glad the museum is preserving the history I just hope they tell the entire story.

So a bank forced the shut down… As an AES Sound Engineer I truly admire the work which has been done here. Those Monorecs eat nowadays 360 Audio Products alive. We don t need more channels and processing powers - we need hard working people who know what they’re doin!
