So, you finally learned to squeeze the trigger. If you don’t remember that word, you will be destined to start pulling it again. The only group that matters is the last one. You can’t count the ones were you adjusted the scope for centering, you can count if compensating for windage and elevation. Great group!
Bought my 452 vVarmint back in 2012 , pillar bedded it , stripped the stock finish and oiled it. Out to 100 yds it’s a tack driver. Use standard velocity rounds bunnies don’t stand a chance, great little gun.
Great to see your success! I have a CZ American 452 and a 30 year old Brno that both shoot almost as good as yours, we're at 100 meters, and it's very pleasing indeed. I've even done very good 5 shot groups with Federal blue box 525. Now we are very limited to what's available here in NZ so we work with what we have.
Great shooting. I love my 452 and only shoot paper when checking for accuracy. The fluted barrel 17wsm is more consistent for hunting because wind doesn't effect it so much and wsm has more energy at 100 yards than the hmr has at the Barrell. Give wsm a try. Thanks
Aug 7 , 2017 This video just popped up in my QUE today...Super Trucker Tom actually verified what I've been saying all along...ITS THE AMMO....99 % of all rimfire rifles can shoot 50 cent coin size groups at 100 yds...a quality rifle will shot quarter sized groups at 100....Larry Potterfield of Midway has a Winchester model 52 rifle of the 1930-s that shot 1.25 " groups at 200 yds because the rifle and ammo were QUALITY not Quantity Mfg'd ....Thanks for this video Super Trucker TOM....great shooting !
Junk ammo gets junk results. It just takes more distance than 10-25 yards to see the difference. I have shot some one hole 5 shot groups off of a better rest with this rifle at 50 yards using RWSR50 and Lapua Center-X. I recently obtained a rather rare Langley 2 ounce trigger for the CZ. I need to install it and get back to the range. I can shoot out to 50 yards behind my house and will be clearing some small saplings to make for a 100 yard range later this Fall once the leaves are down. Thanks for the compliment. Conditions were perfect that day. It was a quiet overcast with no wind and higher humidity. Later in the evening the storm hit.
Good God brother, I don't care what equipment you had, that is good shooting. Looking at the group, I would say you are shooting that sweet little CZ at its' full potential. Wow. I did a really nice group at 50 yards with my Dad's old Win Model 69A with open sights, but was nothing like that. Wow. You should frame that target.
I really would like to have a Brno 2E and a Model 4. The older Brno have some nicer features. Machined trigger guard instead of the bent strap steel. A nicer bolt with detent. Some are 12 groove barrels. Machined steel buttplate. Legacy rifles to be handed down for generations. I have a 452 Ultra Lux and a 452 American Tribal also. Gave my Stepdaughter a 452 Scout in factory pink stock. She is 24 now and has a daughter. Recently picked up a 452 Varmint in 17 HMR. It is a laser also. Son In Law got some 100 yard squirrel hits with it. His family had never heard of CZ rifles. They ridiculed him when he was aiming at a tree 100 yards away. When the squirrel dropped to the ground, their jaws dropped in amazement. Nikon Buckmaster 18X on that rifle.
It is time to see if I can do this again. Cooler weather on the way soon. Taking some vacation time in October. Have been working 6 days a week for the last 3 years.
I was amazed. The subsonic ammo at that range has a flight time of about 0.3 second. I was used to playing baseball as a kid and focusing on something like that was still possible for me. The lighting was just right and the Leupold scope amazingly allowed me to see the bullets disappear into the same hole. That has never happened to me before. I just got a new 2 oz trigger made by John Langley for this rifle. Still need to install it.
Great group mate but very expensive. I too have a CZ but I'm going for the best groups with much lower cost ammo. Headed out to the woods tomorrow thanks for the inspiration.
I have owned a CZ 452 for the past twelve years.........bought it second hand.........has similar performance to yours. I use only south african manufactured match grade subs (black lead technology, waxed) and these never foul your barrell. The gun is still in mint condition after thousand of rounds. I don't think you could buy anything better.
Excellent shooting sir. Those CZ 452 Varmints can be such nice rifles. Looks like yours is one of those. I have 7 different 452 models and my Varmint favorite also. Many.5" groups at 100 yards have been shot with it. It's favorite ammo is Lapua Center-X. Love those CZ's.
Thanks. It is easily my most accurate gun. Currently it is taking a back seat to another CZ. I got a CZ75 Shadow 2 for my 49th Birthday. Loading some Berry's #00355 147 grain flat points for it right now. th-cam.com/video/LUL-Y2RnOfk/w-d-xo.html
Good shooting brother but most of the time czs won't shoot eley ammo I have three 457s and none of them like eley but they all shoot lapua center x really good .keep up the good work. Beagleman
I think the 452 with the traditional threaded fit to the action makes a difference. Even Anschutz experimented with slip fit and retention screws but returned to threaded fit.
+T mo Thank you. Good equipment and ammunition plus practice and ZERO wind. A 1 mph wind can blow a 22LR 0.125" at 50 yards. Even more at 100 yards. It will be a long time till I can do as well.
I bought a CZ455 American 3 barrel combo(22lr, 22mag, 17hmr). I Bought a CZ 20 inch bull barrel, replaced the stock with a Boyd's Varmint/Tacticool. DIP trigger spring, DIP firing pin spring, DIP aluminium mag well, Burris Fullfield 4.5-14x50 scope and a Winchester bipod. With Eley match ammo I print half an inch at 50 metres and I'm talking 10 shots. CZ and Eley match are a dream made in heaven. Not to mention the scope! That reticle is so fine it is beyond comparison. If you like super thin reticles then the Burris rules. Also my front bag on my Caldwell tripod rest broke so I chucked the Winchester bipod on. Wow it was so much steadier that I will no longer use anything else. I actually started the days shoot using cheap Winchester subsonic 42 grain ammo and was really down about the 4 inch groups I was printing. Luckily a bench rest shooter next to me saw my plight and offered some of his Eley match to try, I bought the box off him and will not use anything else again!
i shoot the CZ 452 American .17HMR +Acer moderator+ Niko Stirling 3X15X 56 + standard stock + trigger mod and this gun will shoot these size groups all day long the CZ is a very under rated gun and is worth every penny 150/200 yds rabbits no probs . I found it stayed on target much better if you pushed a brush down the barrel after every 30 shots
If was to shoot a group like that at 100yds with my 22....I'd walk back to the bench and case the gun up for the day also. Annie Oakley would be proud!
Enjoy my 452 UL also. I have a set of Brno aperture sights on it. I used to shoot it in CMP Rimfire Sporter class with the factory tangent blade sights. Prone with a good sling and Eley or RWS or Lapua it will shoot 1cm groups at 50M. A good shooting mat with rubber non slip surfaces helps.
That is an excellent result with a .22lr at 100 yards. Both targets are very good with no flyers in a 20 shot string. The .22 rimfire cartridge has scarcely changed in 150 years, Abraham Lincoln would have been quite familiar with it, you can't compare a .22lr group with a centrefire group, they are different animals.
Big deal, your gun is regulated, hand picked/weighed pellets/slugs so very much more consistent than factory made .22 LR ammo! Compare apples to apples! Go back to watching air rifle videos...better yet, show us some of your fine shooting talents, LOL.
I am sure that those Eley Lot numbers are long sold out by now. I wish I had a case or two of that ammo. RWS R50 has been good in that gun also. imgur.com/gallery/B3mT9Yy

Great shooting. If you need some great bags, call Don over at Dog Gone Good shooting bags. He can set you up with the best bags you have ever seen. Hand made in America by Don himself how is a retired police officer.
Nice... the common 50 yard test won't cut it in a match. You may even be able to improve it with a higher power scope with an 1/8 min dot. Nice shooting
That is amazing! I just bought a used 452 varmint in 22 LR and first time out shot a couple 1/2" groups at 50 yds with some winchester match ammo I had. When you put it in the other stock did you still bolt into the barrel?
I have the same rifle with a Leupold VX-L scope, and S.A.K Moderator. That is a superb group! Well done! Spooky really, as i bought a box of Eley Match today to try my hand at 100 yard targets. I also bought a box of RWS R50 to try as well. Anyone any idea if there's much difference between Eley Tennex and Eley Match?
+Jamie S You are paying for the additional lot testing that comes with the Tennex. So you are getting a more accurate sample of the expected performance. The lot sizes of the match are bigger and within a lot of Match ammo you may have a case or two that are just as good as Tennex for consistent velocity but they fell between sampling and testing intervals for Match so were not marked as a higher grade Tennex. Regression to the mean is really what we are fighting when we are trying for ultimate accuracy. This group could be a statistical outlier due to the variables involved. The ISSF Prone shooters and the Rimfire benchrest shooters are the fanatics when it comes to accuracy. they will bring different lots of ammo with different velocities for different weather conditions. How to read the Eley label here www.killoughshootingsports.com/index.php/howto/ List of different lots and velocities here from a US supplier www.killoughshootingsports.com/index.php/zanders-list/eley-match-22lr-ammunition.html GO up to the Zanders list to get to the Tennex here www.killoughshootingsports.com/index.php/zanders-list/eley-tenex-22lr-ammunition.html Zanders is the master warehouse for Eley in the USA that distributes to other resellers like Killoughs. Killoughs is one of the few that show the complete lot numbers and allow you to choose. Killoughs is a high end bench rest supplier.
Try weighing the match rounds and grouping them into weight lots. There will be very slight variations in the weight of the rounds. Wether this is because of projectile, primer compound, powder variation or a mix of some or all of the above is hard to say but in theory you should get better consistency.
Jamie S There are lot of thing still unknown , I was the team coach for 2014 world championship IMSSU silhouette shooting in Check republic for team Sri Lanka We won 17 medals mix of gold silver and few bronze . Most of the Gold medals were won using Eley rifle match EPS, black box with flat and a small point on the bullet. Getting good accuracy is matching your 22 ammo with proper bedding and torque wrench . I have had good results with 4- 6 Newton on the stock bolts. In short it's like tuning a grand piano, when all comes right getting a sub 1/2 " inch is a walk in the park , little more care , more $$$$ on ammo one can take it a step further. For pictures of rifles and medals see Facebook targetsrilanka.
Consistent rim thickness is far more important than all the other checks , you will be surprised to find a few going over even in a expensive box of 22
Yeserday i shot on a 100m with a cz 455 50 bullets cci standard posted a photo on my facebook proof you dont need expensiv ammo to shoot great you can check the photo my name is broos ingelaere
SuperTruckerTom excellent grouping for a .22lr at 100 yards. I think crisp is getting the bc of a .22lr at 0.15 confused with a .308 at 0.8 and above. for a .22lr this is outstanding at 100 yards. i shoot a cz452 lux, and usually stick to 50m due to the poor ballistics of the round. i doubt a Anschutz could do better.
Next day with decent weather I need to drive out and see if I can duplicate it. This time I will not be making adjustments in the middle of a string like I did with the larger group.
So, you finally learned to squeeze the trigger. If you don’t remember that word, you will be destined to start pulling it again. The only group that matters is the last one. You can’t count the ones were you adjusted the scope for centering, you can count if compensating for windage and elevation. Great group!

That is exactly what I did. It will shoot just as well with RWS R50 and Lapua Center X.
Holy mackerel!
The 452 Ultra Lux with its 28” barrel is very accurate.CCI standard velocity works well as does the Remington Golden bullet.
Enjoy my 452 UL also.
I have a set of Brno aperture sights on it.
I used to shoot it in CMP Rimfire Sporter class with the factory tangent blade sights.

I make that with a airrifle … at 100meters
What kind?
Bigger than .177?
Fx dreamline 22cal

That is amazing! I just bought a used 452 varmint in 22 LR and first time out shot a couple 1/2" groups at 50 yds with some winchester match ammo I had. When you put it in the other stock did you still bolt into the barrel?
Yes still used both bolts and tightened with torque wrench. No bedding compound.
What type of ammo?
YOU SHOULD SHOOT A BOX OF THE AMMO. BEING TESTED FIRST TO CONDITION THE BARREL TO THAT AMMO........MINIMOM
Результат не плохой, но 100ярдов, это не100метров. Разница была бы не в пользу стрелка.

Consistent rim thickness is far more important than all the other checks , you will be surprised to find a few going over even in a expensive box of 22
Congrats! I hope to someday have my 455 do something close to that.
That will be pretty hard as heard 455 is much less accurate than 452
Yeserday i shot on a 100m with a cz 455 50 bullets cci standard posted a photo on my facebook proof you dont need expensiv ammo to shoot great you can check the photo my name is broos ingelaere
怎么打毕竟
Must be relaxed and without emotion.
必须放松,没有情绪
for that set up the group sucks
Half inch should be possible. A quarter will cover the last ten.
A centerfire can one hole at 100 yards. So what are you shooting?
SuperTruckerTom excellent grouping for a .22lr at 100 yards.
I think crisp is getting the bc of a .22lr at 0.15 confused with a .308 at 0.8 and above.
for a .22lr this is outstanding at 100 yards.
i shoot a cz452 lux, and usually stick to 50m due to the poor ballistics of the round.
i doubt a Anschutz could do better.
+SuperTruckerTom he's talking out of his butt.
Next day with decent weather I need to drive out and see if I can duplicate it.
This time I will not be making adjustments in the middle of a string like I did with the larger group.
Just saw the vid, great group, CZ makes one he'll of a rifle....Have 4 flavors of them.
