I started smoking in 1956. I soon learned that A, smoking too much or too often diminishes the fun and the rewards. B, there has always been stupendous pot and average pot. The difference now is that some folks have spent a lot of time figuring out how to raise stupendous pot. So there is more of it. And C, if you have some stupendous pot, smoke less of it. At least I have found that smoking a modest amount gives me a better experience. If I get too bombed, I just don't feel as good. There is a famous old quote, "You don't know what enough is until you have had too much." Learn that.

For a darker turn, I have to recommend Dolores Claibourne too. And for another comedy, About Schmidt. She is someone I admire as an actor and a person. She's pretty cool, and a total pro.
This woman has got to be one of Hollywood's greatest living actors. 1 oscar.. 2 Emmy's.. 2 golden globes... 2 screen actors awards.. a star on the walk of fame.. 1 obie awards.. 2 blockbuster and american comedy awards.. and a satelitte award. She is phenomenal
She's very good with accents apparently. Not only did she lose a Southern accent, but in Dolores Claiborne she did a pretty good impression of a Yankee accent as well. That alone doesn't make her talented, but it is one more thing to admire about this incredibly versatile actor.
Bradley Fortner she did an awful baltimore in american horror story. She is normally really good though

I'm an avid reader of King's work (What King himself refers to as a CR) and even though Annie Wilkes was seriously watered-down for that film, she was still scary as hell. Thanks in no small part to Kathy Bates' talent. That's probably why she won the Oscar for playing her.

I was just watching her in 3rd Rock from the Sun yesterday and she's in the 20th episode of the 4th season: 420!
She plays some lady who kinda figures out that Dick is an alien and wants to dissect him. She starts out as someone who audits his class but then catches and locks everyone up in the basement but fails miserably. Isn't it weird that things like this happen? Like I'm watching that exact episode of the show and the next day a video shows up about her? Or is this just selective perception? And here I am overthinking everything and I am not even high.

KATHY BATES is an American treasure and a supremely gifted actress. Will always remember literally jumping for joy when she won the Best Actress Oscar in 1991 for MISERY. So well-deserved but I thought JOANNE WOODWARD would win because I thought they wouldn't award an actor for playing a sadistic villain. Guess what? The very next year Miss. Bates presented the Best Actor Oscar to ANTHONY HOPKINS for SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. That was PRICELESS. Adore both of them!!

my mother was from Memphis Tn. while she was in high school she traded yard work for voice lessons from her English teacher who was the only person who didn't have a southern accent. this was in the 1930's. she was 15. said she didn't want to be judged and considered stupid. amazing woman. had a perfect speaking voice. all of her children including me speak perfect English. I had great admiration for her efforts. she didn't just decide to lose her southern accent, she chose to learn perfect enunciation too, and was willing to work for it.
