I’ll be there in Dec, I’ve watched endless vlogs on Bangkok slums. First I’ve seen this footage. Subbed! Was any of this footage (the tracks) near Klong Toie?
Thank you ! The 2nd location was a walk around the location shown on the map. It was not near the Klong Toei. Hit me up, maybe I'll be back in Thailand at that time so we could explore together 👍
@@HomelessPelican The area with the ponds, the restaurant, the Honey club, main roads next to 'slums' is right in the centre of Bangkok, close to Makkasan station. Look up Burachat Chaiyakon Hospital on Google maps and you will see it clearly. Good access is also from Petchaburi Road. I will be there from Saturday (20th Dec) and will be sure to add some videos to my channel.
The first mall is currently under some rehabilitation plan to host cultural event and be used rather than just abandoned. I'm glad workers told you to leave as this is not an attraction anymore.
The 'road to nowhere' area that you showed was the other side of the Makkasan State Railway Factory. Rail lines used to run along the ground level but as they built the city more, they added the elevated lines that are on those bridges. The road you were walking down used to part of the major roading infrastructure and was replaced by the nearby toll roads. So this area that you were in was no longer needed. Through the fence on the left of the guy collecting rubbish is a huge railway factory area that you can access from the other side, beside the ponds and slum area that you explored - but it is, of course, only for employees. Crazy to see the slum areas with huge glass apartment blocks looking down on them. It shows the gap between poor and rich in an extreme way.
@HomelessPelican That would be great. I see I was logged in to my family channel when I replied. The travel videos go up on this one though, @FoxdaleTravels
Like yourself, I too am always curious to check out abandoned places. Obviously this area in Bangkok was under heavy lock and key, along with security, which prevented you any inside access. Still, the thrill of walking through the streets was interesting in itself! The pond/lake with all of the dead fish, litter everywhere, and the garbage floating in that waterway/canal reminded me of a place in India. Don’t feel disappointed that you could not go thoroughly exploring this time around. I’ve no doubt there are many more (gems) abandoned places you will find and discover as you travel in the future. Thanks for sharing this fun and exciting video! 👏💯⭐️
Hey Randy! The walk was pretty chilled, and I really liked the vibes. I didn't feel unsafe at any moment. Actually, in most places, people were nice-just sometimes they seemed a bit surprised. The only thing I'm always scared of are the deadly snakes in Thailand. Even though the small pound looked a bit dirty, it was still a million times cleaner than in India, trust me Thank you so much for your comment and support, as always! ^^
@@HomelessPelican only things u really have to be afraid of in Thailand is traffic ...if u driving, drunk foreigners in bars and soi dogs when they are packs. As promised, I created a 4K walking video through the area you show in this video. The abandoned 'shopping centre' was actually a row of clubs and bars. Part was destroyed by fire in 2015 and the place slowly closed down ever since. But like you, in that particular area, I found the only unfriendly people in Thailand. They told me very emphatically: no photo, no video, no walking! th-cam.com/video/fI52uVO8pZ4/w-d-xo.html
many of the abandoned buildings all over bangkok and thailand in general are believed being haunted or unpure..notsutible for building. Yes ghosts and spirits are a BIG deal In thailand
I know! I also lived in Indonesia, and they believe in ghosts even more! My ex-girlfriend told me that an average family will have to sell their house 1 to 3 times in their life because the house is haunted. The real estate value drops by 80% when it's 'haunted.' What a great business opportunity!

@@HomelessPelican I can understand the frustration. I use to take photos inside as it was open to public at some. Point (to feed the fishes)

Look at every house/ neighbourhood or hotel you see small "ghost houses"..smaller shrines..for keep the spirits or ghosts away or please them ..
