Today I form my top 10 NBA players rankings for the upcoming 2025 NBA Season. From Nikola Jokic to Lebron James and Stephen Curry this top 10 best players list will help guide you coming into the next NBA season!

I mean yes but you can't say that for sure because the rules were different. Sure the illegal defense rules would probably help them but the more strict travel calls and lack of spacing would also provide a challenge. At the end of the day though they are both great players and most importantly they are both tough

I agree with who you have as the 10 best but I’d honestly say,
1.) Jokic who is one of the most underrated and under appreciated players the league has ever seen. He could honestly get a 4th MVP if it wasn’t for voter fatigue. If Jamal can stay healthy and go scorched earth in the playoffs, Russ can put up a good season off the bench, role players like Braun will most likely step up due to KCP’s departure, and if MPJ stays healthy, we could see another ring for Jokic. At this rate I’d say he’s arguably a Top 25 player all time and only getting better. Honestly my favorite player to watch. The guy is just fun to see while treating this like his 9-5
2.) Giannis who is still going to be considered for a MVP and/or DPOY, if he’s healthy and meets the minimum requirements. It’s also going to depend on how far he can lead the Bucks this season, especially with the team’s chemistry being built up off of last season.
3.) Luka whom is at this point the favorite for MVP, my pick for the leagues assist per game leader. Also leading Dallas to the Finals. He just needs to improve on his defense for them to potentially make it over that hump.
4.) Tatum who just lead his team to a chip. All NBA First Team last season and will most likely be after this upcoming season, just won his second Gold Medal (didn’t play well, I still believe their is an agenda against him throughout the league), finished 6th in MVP voting last season, has proven to be a lead playmaker, can guard the 1-5 both efficiently and consistently, while most likely going lead Boston to back to back titles. Hopefully can win the FMVP so both JB and JT can add more to their resumes.
5.) SGA, my pick for MVP for the upcoming season whom may end up leading OKC to another 1 seed out west. Finishing 2nd in MVP voting, made All NBA First Team, hopefully keeps improving. 30.1 ppg 5.5 rpg 6.2 apg may take a dip with Chet improving his numbers from last year being what most people are betting on.
6.) Curry, at this point looks like he can play until he’s in his mid 40’s. Steph may not be able to lead Golden State to a playoff spot with the roster construction and Kerr’s coaching ability being shown as a product of circumstance and not in a positive way.
7.) LeBron just because he’s LeBron 😂
8.) KD which is arguably the most skilled offensive player the league has ever seen. It’s truly sad that we may not see him 4 or 5 years from now.
9.) Embiid, I doubt he’ll make it past the second round even with Maxey improving after another season and PG probably being the 3rd option largely due to his age. I don’t see Embiid making the MVP race largely due to his inability to stay healthy. Playoff Embiid is at this rate a given with a 30 year old star who hasn’t achieved a Conference Finals appearance.
10.) Anthony Edwards which may have the second best supporting cast outside Tatum. He’s only getting better and having Towns, Reid being a spark plug off the bench and perhaps making a case for contention of another 6th Man of the Year award, Dillingham who hopefully has a solid rookie season at the least, Gobert being the reigning DPOY, McDaniels, Conley, etc. taking a lot of load off of him both Offensively and Defensively.
w/ Brunson, Booker, AD, Brown, and Kawhi being the rest of the my Top 15. Just my opinion.

Never missed the playoffs while only losing a 7 game series twice. His first was against LeBron in 2019 which was his rookie season, he was also the No. 1 option. His second was to the Heat when he got injured in the first couple of minutes, almost leading his team to the first ever 0-3 comeback in league history.

Most points in a All Star Game while winning All Star Game MVP
Can guard the 1-5 effectively and consistently
He’s finished Top 10 in MVP voting 3 times now
Lead the league in scoring, total points not this points per game crap.
Only Celtic to average 30 ppg in a season
I’m a huge SGA fan. I watched him play for Kentucky, I’m die hard while being from the eastern part of the state (Johnson County, not doxing myself 😂). I’ve watched him come off the bench hitting step back 3’s while the shot clock goes off against Tennessee to starting in place of Quade Green. I’ve watched him develop for the Clippers under Pat Bev and Lou Will. I’ve watched him learn from CP3 while having a 20 point 20 rebound game, I believe that he was the youngest guard to do so and I may be wrong. But if you can explain to me how Shai is a better player than Tatum I’ll listen.
I’d say on par with scoring unless you want to go off of per game numbers last year. Shai has the edge on playmaking while Tatum is probably the second best playmaking forward in the league behind LeBron. Tatum is the better defender considering his job is to guard all positions, but I’ll say Shai is the better perimeter defender. Tatum is the better rebounder. Statistically and Historically Tatum is more clutch, that can’t even be argued.

Honestly I’d say he could be 7th if healthy. He just doesn’t show up in the playoffs, does that not matter? He’s never made it past the second round and we don’t know if he’s going to have a healthy season next year. He shouldn’t have even been MVP a couple of seasons ago considering how good Jokic was, should be a 4 time MVP winner. If he’s healthy and is good in the playoffs, I’d say he’s the 7th best player in the league. Shai as of this moment is better than Embiid, LeBron and KD even at their age are better than Embiid, Tatum especially after his last playoff performance and every time they’ve matched up is better than Embiid, Luka and Giannis are better than Embiid, and Jokic is the best big in the league. Can’t argue with statistics. I’d say he’s 7th if healthy with a good playoff run. He’s not good in the playoffs and it’s been shown. He’s honestly one of the most inconsistent players in the league.

Jason Tatum's "problem" is he's a generalist. He's relatively good in every aspect, but doesn't specialize in none. He's to "well rounded" in a league that specializes in shooting, bully ball, and etc. Makes him not stand out.
Also, no aura at all.. I’m a grown man using a child’s adjective to describe him because that really encapsulates his demeanor when playing.

No AD on the list is awful. Dude was 28-16 on 67 TS% in the playoffs. He’s the best defender in the world, arguably the best rebounder in the world, one of the most consistent playoff performers in the league and has been healthier for the last 18 months than half this list.
Edwards is not close at all. You can’t judge by highlights. Edwards is an ok defender. He has occasionally impressive highlights but he also has many lowlights. Falls asleep offball and gets backdoorer a lot. And his rotations are all over the place. Locking down dudes on the perimeter and getting the occasional steal or block doesn’t make some a good defender. And offensively he relies on his jumper a lot for someone who isn’t a consistent shooter. He was great for the first half of his playoff run but the jumper stopped falling and he didn’t do much for the rest of the playoffs.
There isn’t an advanced stat on Earth that’ll tell you Edwards is a top-10 player and in the same category as AD.
Look at the top-5 in LEBRON : Jokic, Giannis, Luka, Embiid, SGA. Pretty spot on. AD is 6th. Edwards is somewhere outside the top 40.
It’s 2024 and people are still overrating guards who just shoot a lot with mediocre efficiency, aren’t good playmakers and don’t move the needle defensively…

I agree with your ranking, but I'd place Embid behind Durant just based on how ineffective he was in the Olympics and the fact he has to yet prove his skills in the post season. Also wouldn't put any American player above Durant, LeBron and Curry.

Giannis is an underrated playmaker. His passes might not be as flashy or high IQ as Jokic, but they always connect and get the job done. They are usually for good look 3 pointers, not wide open dunks for AG. The gap in playmaking isnt as big as people may think if you watch Giannis carfully. Jokic is still #1 tho not by a lot.

@@elden4142 most of his damage does come from the rim, but he puts up more points per game than Jokic with a higher FG%, everybody knows what he’s about to do, but nobody can stop him, shooting n scoring aren’t always the same thing. Plus giannis has a higher career high in points than jokic.
He’s definitely more versatile cuz nobody can hop on the transition better than Giannis (him and lebron are ranked at the top of transition). Giannis is capable of playing and guarding Power Forwards and Centers perfectly when needed. He’s fast enough to play against guards, and strong enough to play against centers, he can play any position.
Giannis and Jokic makes the same typa plays (Jokic is just flashier cuz he’s a better passer) they both pull the defense towards them so they can pass it for an easy 3, both can pass the ball mid-drive for a better look, and both handles the bounce pass in the paint (in front and behind them) they do the samething, giannis assists just ain’t higher cuz his team ain’t as well rounded as the nuggets are.
The “best” player couldn’t even make it to the western conference finals to properly defend his chip. 🤷🏾♂️

Ants the most athletic player in the league. Combine that with his great two way play and he’s going to be top 5 soon.

Luka should have won MVP last season and he has been improving every single year. He is definitely too low at number 3. He is a better perimeter defender than Jokic is a rim protector and you don't punish Jokic for that even though it is way more important part of defense.
Giannis has no jump shot. Sorry but Luka and SGA are better than Giannis. If it was 2021, then Giannis is way better but it isn’t. Giannis hasn’t really done anything since winning a championship. Luka made the finals and SGA is finally a leader on a contending team.
