I recommend you have to test the original disc (Depend on the region and model) before you insert the burned cd. Otherwise, the lens will make noise and will bend the disc read.

Check the Chip from all wires and make 100% sure are connected, also if chip are damage to play copy PS2 games, and also make sure to get a new PS2 Chip and new wires and tape to connected and check all of it.
La razón por la que a él no le pasa nada con el agua es que no tiene ningún tipo de alimentación de por medio a la hora de limpiarlo, no es lo mismo si tú mojas por ejemplo tu celular porque si hay una alimentación de por medio en este caso la batería y crea corto ,ahora en el momento de darle corriente se debe secar bien la placa porque vuelve a entrar alimentación y puede crear corto si tiene humedad.Por último el agua no es conductora de la electricidad es por eso qué hay gente que utiliza agua destilada para refrigerar su pc lo que hace conductor al agua son las sales minerales que lo componen

What about a weakened spring on the ps 2 lid that sometimes prevents the disc from starting? The lid on the PS2 does not close well.
