I am with Ian Huxstep. I wanted one two. Very badly. I have been searching for measurements to build one. I ran across your video from a Google search. Now, I'll definitely be building my own. Thank you so much for sharing. You are definitely an inspiration!😍😘
Thanks Ingrid. My tip for you is get the thickness of the wood that you choose to use then spend as much time as you need on the plan. A good plan will save you a lot of time on working. Good luck!!
I'm mesmerized. I love building things myself too but I'm out of my league on this one...You are the best, I deeply admire you for being able to handle all that work...and by yourself!!
Ok so yeah...basically your are a cabinetmaker...next level “DIY”...🤷🏽♀️😂...back to the basic 4 bookshelves turned into a “DreamBox” videos I go!! Very nice though...you did a great job!!
Your Craft Closet is "The A#1+ Best cabinet and is EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR to make a conversion to my Beautiful Wardrobe! Thank you so very much! From a very grateful new follower. YOU'RE SO SMART!
I know this video has been up for a minute, but it's new to me and it's FABULOUS! It was an absolute pleasure watching you work, and the end product is amazing. An inspiring piece of work, and I thank you for recording it. Hope (in this time) you're well and still building.
It's not that hard. anyhow, this guy gives a good bones layout for building one but the great thing about making your own (outside of price) is you can customize it however you want. with some mild modifications.
I would never pay $2k for what is essentially a cheap Armoire. I would prefer to make a custom piece. I agree, the quality would be much better and it can be easily customised to your own space and needs. Get to work, Hubby!!! lol
I am so,impressed! I’m am a female crafter as well, and I must say, you are a “true” builder. You understand building technology (i.e. correct wood thickness to carry the load of the supplies/equipment that will fill the cabinets...how to measure each area, including divots for shelving placement, proper spacing, proper hinges, caster, lighting, hardware, etc. including vinyl coating to cover raw wood/ measuring/cutting/applying) So, for all of you who think you can DIY if you don’t know anything about building (notice she had a building diagram posted in view as she worked), then pay someone with building technical knowledge to do it for you otherwise, you will be frustrated. Additionally, if you’re not a builder chances are you don’t have all the necessary/required tools /equipment to build such an elaborate project; meaning you’ll have to invest in those items too...remember the part when she laid down from exhaustion? Very tedious and time-consuming feat. It requires laborious hours and effort to design and construct. So, when you do the math logistically, how much will it actually cost to DIY when purchasing ALL supplies, equipment, and tools from scratch??? Not to mention your labor...🤔 which most DIY’ers don’t consider, has value.
Wow, Stunning work, Ana White eat your heart out. You do fantastic work, and, you did it without any extra hands to help you assemble. I rarely say this, but WOW, girl, wow, Unfortunately, now my wife had seen this, she wants one. “It can’t be hard to make, see she did it”. 😳😳😳😳 Huge thank you for posting.
Wow that's fantastic,,, there was no way I could get scrapbox but I may get close with you ideas 💡,thanks for giving me a glimpse of what can be accomplished with time and work . Your amazing 😉
It looks like you actually work that fast! Lol. You're super flexible running all over like that! First off all, incredible job! Brilliant! Second, thank you for not only posting and doing such a great job with the video but for answering questions! That is super kind! Third, now that you've used it, do you like the MDF or would you have chosen something else? I didn't realize the banding was that easy. How did you figure out where to get it CNC cut? Did you just look up a commercial place? That part was a brilliant idea! They give away so many armoires of so many different sizes anymore. No one wants them. It'd be pretty easy to retrofit them to make them usable again! But you made the biggest pain, the cutting, super easy. Very smart! Thanks for taking the time to answer everything for everyone!
Hi Doreen, thanks for your kind words. I'm happy with the MFC wood, it's a good choice for DIY (except the heavy part). However I've found myself not completely happy with the design. There are so many "exact same size" parts which make the scrapbox less convenience. If I got chance to build another one in the future, I'll definitely upgrade it. The CNC shop was found on my way home, its 15 mins away from my place by scooter. Cheers!
Tuyet Quach Thanks for your reply! Can you please explain a bit more on the exact same size part? Are you saying your parts are the same size or the shelving is too similar or something else. Lol. What would you do differently to fix the issue? Would you change the shelving? Or the actual compartments? Have you seen their clear boxes and if so would something like that fix the problem? Also, do find not having a lip on the shelf bothersome and do things fall when you open the unit? Are you using it mostly for a specific type of crafting, for sewing or a mixture? I'm thinking of doing it for sewing and the one thing I've found is that I really need the fabric in an enclosed environment or it just collects dust.
Hi Doreen. Yes I mean the shelving is too similar. In my free time I also make miniature house (like those: th-cam.com/video/LPZ-QVnqCic/w-d-xo.html&lc=z22aizl5yxivivwkoacdp4304lbyh2beezt3jugdhl5w03c010c and th-cam.com/video/xEIGS415Lu8/w-d-xo.html&lc=z23ohxxxxpq4d3geiacdp43a1oujzqrpqkfzw2p2yzxw03c010c.1504610566014961) so I need to stored paper, foam, plastic, sheet, PVC sticks..... they are all in difference size. Some are in square, some very long, some are tiny bits. So all the same size part does not work out very well in my case. No things don't fall when I open the unit, as I mentioned the wood is heavy so we can't open the unit fast enough to fall things. It's very stable. I have no experience with sewing but I think u'll be ok with this design as long as you're aware of what is the biggest thing(s) you need to store and what you store the most and make sure the scrapbox suit ur needed.
show us what you put in your box please and how you arranged the room it's in, also where did you learn how to do all of that make plans and stuff like that. Irene in El Paso, Tx.
OMG!!!!!! I just got off their website. Cost more than what I want to pay -- at least right now,, anyway. You've done an absolutely fantastic job. Would you just give a general range of the cost involved to make this. I'm in awe of what you were able to do. Lot and lots of kudos!!!!!. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Nj. I know how you feel. It cost me under 400 bucks (including: Wood, CNC cut and delivering, wood edge banding, screw, glue, hinges, wheels, long light bulbs). Goodluck with yours!
I worked it out from the total height and width which I got from their website. I believe the website has been update with even more detail about measurements. It's very helpful, you can have a look
You are amazing!!! I've never built anything having to deal with a drill lol but I really want this! Any chance you have a list to share of the bits and pieces that you purchased to complete the build?
Not sure if you’re still answering questions about this video, but could you please tell me which size clamps did you use and how many for this project. I want to buy the right sizes and have enough before I get started☺️! Absolutely am in love with how you handled this by yourself as a WOMAN! You ROCK!!!!!!
You are awe inspiring! This is a great cabinet with a lot of storage and functionality! Can you tell me where I can get the plans? Thank you for this video! ❤️
you have inspired me to try this ... but I have questions about the hardware .... did you use the same size screws on all parts? and what is the white sheeting called that covered the boards?

hahahahaahahahahahahaha you can BOTH do it together though!!!

Wow. Great job.
Don’t know if you are still checking questions, but I was wondering if you had all your wood precut and if so, where did you have it done?
Hi, yes I had them all precut. First I decided the thickness of the wood then draw the plans on Sketchup. After that I broke down the plans into pieces and lay them on the size of the wood (which is 1.2m x 2.4m) then send them to lazer cut.
Tuyet Quach hi! I was wondering how many
Full 1.2m x 2.4m sheets you used total? Before it was cut?
@@MizzNaeChail I've used 4 of 12mm (thickness) and 5 of 25mm. So 9 sheets in total.
What a great job. I love it.
