Add this one to the "Hall of Fame" of TXG moderate swing speed fittings, along with Ronnie, Cynthia, and Lindsay from Iron Lady (in the early days of TXG!). You guys should really bring Lindsay and Cynthia back; everyone really seemed to enjoy their fittings.
I have what I would consider a very competent fitter that I fully trust here at home... this video makes me want to fly across the country and start from scratch. Great job gents.

Awesome to see the difference the shaft and grip combo made. You could tell he was on autopilot there at the end and that’s gotta be the goal at the end of all of these.

I will never tire of seeing the average golfer get fit. This is irrefutable proof that fitting is not just for good golfers. Please show a lot more of these fittings! I love seeing the huge gains 🤯!
Agreed. I think most folks feel like they’re not good enough or consistent enough for a fitting.
I agree, I think it can make a bigger difference for the mid handicapper. They usually arr not good enough to time the swing and make any club work like a pro can. Just changing the shaft can make a huge difference on feel and ability to time your swing and make better contact.

@@nathanmichaels3125 I agree. If you're a total hack then you need lessons more than fitting. Top players are more difficult because you're chasing marginal gains and they can adjust to still hit poorly fit clubs pretty well. The guys in the middle benefit the most.

Never in a million years after the first couple of swings did I expect the ball to start right and stay right. Ian has to be one of the best fitters on the planet.

The fact that he used the golf pride logo aligned left of center as a mental model to help with squaring the face is GENIUS.

More of these please! I enjoy whatever this channel does, but if you start transforming mid handicappers ball flights and misses, I could only guess your viewership and waitlist for fittings will grow exponentially.
Love it. Such a ringing endorsement for fittings..... but more importantly, fitting with a fitter that gives a crap. I've had fittings pre- TXG with fitters that felt like they were sleeping through my session and simply handing me random heads to try. Far from a customized experience Brian just had. Love it.
Totally agree. So many poor fitters out there. The TXG crew puts them to shame. Unless it’s someone I trust, who knows what they’re doing, I would rather just fit myself tbh.
This channel and TXG would blow up if you did 1-2 videos a week with average golfers and real fits. It would be like the TH-cam chiro videos. It's great to see someone bomb it 330 but when you see a golfer go from 194 carry to 234 carry, that is a "TAKE MY MONEY" moment.
Pure magic! Ian fixed a hook and added 40 yards without touching Brian’s swing! The 2nd drive with his Nike and last with the LST were both 97 club, 2.4 in to out, and about 1 up on AoA. The closure rate was actually greater for the Ping than the Nike. The grip orientation, one of a kind. Sure most fitters can fix a hook with face angle, lie angle, weights, etc. Others may consider a bigger grip, but I feel most will give some swing tips and make changes someone’s swing path or AoA, then customers get upset when their real swing doesn’t fit their actual swing and they see different results. The only feel Ian suggested was “get the grip to square” but there was no change in the actual swing dynamics
This is the reason why TXG is the best of the best. Taking a golfer and maximizing every ounce, every mile per hour, and every RPM of spin.
Please keep putting out these videos, as they are GOLD (or should we say carbon?). Totally would not mind seeing a variety of mid-handicap, single figure, low single figure, and scratch or better fittings. Keep up the good work fellas!

Changing the clocking of the grip is an old school move as is going to the longer shaft to change the start line. Glad to see those changes show up in a video. I too would like to see more videos like this.

I am in AWE how you tweak the clubs and the different results you achieve. slight tweaks after you have a baseline. I MUST COME AND GET FITTED!

It’s amazing the difference a shaft can make to the outcome. My eyes were opened massively in my recent fitting.

I’ve never seen that grip clocking technique applied at a fitting session but I get it as I am overly sensitive to missing right and generally play with a draw spin. Great work guys 👍🏻

It goes to show how hard it is to find a trustworthy and skilled professional. They say go get fit, but how do we know a fitter will do a similar job?! most of us will find our fittings a disappointment after watching videos like this…😂

Great Video. Just shows that the fitter is the driver of the session and the player trusts the numbers and the fitter. I went into my fitting and said no TM or callaway cause i really don't like them, and got fit into the Rogue ST pro and TM S2+ 3 wood! why... cause the fitter knew it was the best for my swing and the numbers were simply the best. Trust the process.

These guys are unreal. Fitting Brian with a longer shaft when he was hitting the shorter one all over the face? That’s just pure genius from recognizing something in his swing, face angle and impact location that would make the longer shaft work.

The best fitting, the best drivers, the best balls, the best shoes, that commercial show drives me crazy, I've been playing for over 70 years and my old macgregor are still the best golf clubs of all.

Love this fitting. I went local fitter last week he gave me lesson instead to improve delivery and gained 20yds after a week of hard practise. Go back for the actual fitting Thursday as efficiency is poor bit distance and delivery much better

I just got "Half-fit" from my local golf shop. This makes me want to find my local club champion and tweak my fitting even more.
For the casual player like me who’s starting to get serious with the game, this video is everything 😂 I messaged Ian last night about where I should sink my money first (fitting vs lessons) and little did I know this video would come out the next day!!! Fitting 💯
If you want to be better at golf next month, then sure fitting may be better. But if you want to be better at golf next year, then lessons are 100% the way to go

Brilliant video! For anyone out there worried you won't have an amazing fitting like this, if you work with a coach, try and get fit by your coach. I got fit by my coach and he knew my swing inside and out and so it made the experience perfectly tailored to me and I think others will find just as much success doing the same. That way the person fitting you knows your miss, tendencies, ect, and its not someone watching you swing for the first time.
I am looking forward to meeting you both in New York Sunday.

This is an unbelievable fitting session. I’ve already just tried to talk my mrs into a holiday to Canada so I can have a session with Ian. This is golf porn at its very best. One day I will have a fitting from the genius that is Ian Fraser. I’m speechless. Brian is the calmest man on the planet. I’d be jumping up and down like a lunatic hugging Ian to death.
Ian can we please have a competition? All expenses paid trip to Canada for a fitting with you. Surely one of the brands will stump up the cash for that.

I'm absolutely flabbergasted right now. Sure, the gain in distance is phenomenal. But the fact he went from hitting a 30 yard hook to a beautiful little fade or draw. wow. Amazing.

Southwest broke my driver and I just went through a fitting. My fitting went a lot like Brian’s and I ended up in the Ping Max.
This guy has almost the exact same swing characteristics as myself. 12:26 Had a ping fitting a cpl wks ago and went from a Ping 410 to the 430 w LST head and while my numbers were not as dramatic, gained a full 15 yards, so went from hitting it abt 225 total to 240 total. Ball speed went from abt 134 to 140 MPH.
I would love to get to 150. Goals😊

That last slow mo video made something very evident with Brian’s swing. He needs to get a quick lesson with Larry Chung and get the right arm more in front of his chest on the backswing. His right elbow is way behind the seam line on his shirt causing a massive flip tp close the face. Sugguest some constant radius training or smart ball work and he could be a high level golfer quickly. Brian you are on the right path to a great game. Wish you the best my friend and if you could talk Scott and the boys into helping you it could be an amazing set of videos that the average mid handicapper would love and relate too.
Rumour has it Brian walks around with that Ping driver in a holster ever since he left
I luv this type of video. Next month, as a mid-handicapper, I am coming in to complete my fitting from last year. 5W-7W ish. It reminds me to give my fitter a wide berth (not my favourite) when trying out clubs. Last year, I hit the club's blind. My fitter and the stats told me what to hit. I had the most enjoyable season in years.

This is sorcery!! I did something similar with a TSI3 10* and an XC-5X that changed my game forever a few years ago, but 40 yards?? I was happy with 17 yards…That’s why you’re the man Mr. Frasier!!
Great stuff guys! Bryan had so much confidence in swing late in the fit. Kudos to Ping for making clubs that suit so many types of golfer.

Only Ian can do this! Incredible way to find the solution. I had been fitted number of times by different fitting centers …none of them try to use different shaft length and grip size…they only let you tried 3 to 4 club heads (max) and 3-4 shafts within an hour and selling you the most expensive solutions. In general the fitters are on the commission…

This might be the best fitting video - tweaking the grip was genius.
Love this one! I also was fit into a low spin model, and I was often turned away from it because people said they were less forgiving, but after visiting a fitter (that knew what they are doing) it changes my game.

Brian can obviously generate some power but that low hook just drains it away. Getting 40 yards more carry is just amazing. I’m sure he’s a happy camper.

I knew I wasn’t crazy! I’m right in this same wheelhouse and play a similar setup except for the length and an older model. Most fitters wouldn’t put this in our hands since I had to do it by trial and error. Great job!
Did you even try the drivers he said he was looking at Srixon, Titleist? I really would have liked to see those comparison to the Ping & Cobra with his swing.
