I live in Scottsdale near PXG and have had all their drivers. In a fitting with his miss being left they would have put more weight in the toe like 12.5 g to try and straighten him out first and then they would have gone with a 12° head. Then work with the shafts. Like a cypher 40 project x.
What happened to the footage of testing other heads? Great content but an expensive outcome. Worth it if Dave can bring the results to the course. Looking forward to seeing that!
Best thing I ever done for my game was changing the shaft in my driver to one that is only a half in longer than my 3 wood and upgraded from the stock stiff standard hazardous to the rdx black hazardous with carbon fiber weave .... I was able to really dial in my dispersion and also gained a couple yards
Fitting was about 1 and half hours long, second part will be on next week when we look at what head is the best. But if your long to get fitted I would highly recommend Laurence and SGGT
Quite surprising that the PXG fitting was so far off the target. That spin number was obviously low for Dave's swing speed. Seems like the original loft was way off. I get that 10.5 degrees is the highest loft they offer. Wondering if Dave needs something closer to 12 as a start point. Has Dave tried a mini driver? That loft and spin might be ideal for his swing speed and perhaps go farther than he can get with a conventional driver head.
