Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! Thanks to you all for joining us this holiday to watch a very Goonies episode of Skeleton Crew.
Please be sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you haven't! 💜💙
Merry Christmas to you too!
Happy Xmas to both of you! 😉
@LatetotheParty I was thinking Chester Copperpot too.
Ironically called Late to the Party with the first reaction on TH-cam lol
12:21 - "Did I do that?" 😂
😂😂😂
"Your focus determines your reality" was a Qui-Gon quote from Episode 1. So Jod
had to have known him.
A force sensitive scam artist reminds me of Patrick Jane from the Mentalist but they are so careful that Jod never crosses the line to a definitive position but more of a leaning this way type character
I just finished watching the mentalist and thought the same thing!
I think that he could have been a Jedi at one time.. and could have become a pirate after the fall of the Jedi.
Merry Christmas, guys.
This episode got surprisingly dark at the end. If this is what Jake Schreier is cooking up with Thunderbolts, I can't wait for that film.
Can't wait for next week's episode, directed by Bryce Dallas Howard.
This luxury spa reminds me of 5th Element where aliens convene to chill in peach, but where havoc ensued, sprinkled with Indiana Jones vibes as well.
Jod took awhile after finding out that At Attin was an Old Republic mint before challenging Fern. And that entire time he was quiet and thinking. My guess is he came up with a plan to get passed anybody that they would come across, and he needs the kids to be afraid of him. He can't just rely on them acting afraid. He wasn't gonna kill Fern. His plan to get out of all of this relies on the kids being afraid.
I think he was making a choice, reward vs ransom
Probably my favorite episode of the series? It had a little bit of everything. We got a glimpse of the parents and what they are up to, there was an adventure element and we got great action and suspense/tension to boot.
Wim is gonna pull Jod back to the light, kicking and screaming.
Let us hope so.
@emilylucas2217 this might be one of the few cases where "perhaps the real treasure was the friends we made along the way" would actually work correctly.
I hope it will be like Silver in Treasure Planet when he gives up the treasure so he can save Jim. Something tells me there's a sliver of good in him stubbornly clinging to him.
I don't think Jod is evil, but he will use those kids to get paid. He's the "tough love" type of guy, we saw it when instead of reassuring Wim, he just told him to forget about his past. He took control because now their lives and their planet are in danger. The kids are constantly arguing and challenging him at the wrong time, he let them think they were in charge. Because they grew up sheltered, they're not realizing how serious it is.
This is *_REALLY CRAZY_* idea. I think SM-33 is actually Captain Tak Rennod. The holo of Rennod was distorted and he sounds *_EXACTLY_* the same as SM-33.
No, wait. You're onto something, but I think you're a bit off. I think SM-33 is NOT Tak Rennod because SM-33 acts too much like a droid, but SM-33 might have been used to carry Rennod inside him. At first, I was thinking a disembodied brain or something but then I realized we've been seeing someone ride around in SM-33 all this time:
The "rat" thing living in SM-33's eye socket? THAT is Tak Rennod.
@@noppornwongrassamee8941 Oh, MAN!!!! I *_LOVE_* your take on the rat-thing.
A rat living that long?
I do like this theory Gopher.
@@noppornwongrassamee8941 OHHH MAAAANNNN
MERRY SITH-MAS!!! 🎄🥰❤️💚
After the The Acolyte, this show has been such a great pallet cleanser. I love it.
Loved that elder language translation (gibberish gibberish) 😂 Also I caught Pokkit as Merida’s voice actor too, Vanessa. Gotta love those Scottish actors! They make everything sound so lively imo.
We just need Ewen Bremner and Robert Carlyle in the Star Wars universe now
Kelly Macdonald
@@cogitatorcat2306Jonny Lee Miller hasn't been in Star Wars yet either
I was thinking earlier on that the planet was probably a mint of some sort, made sense for how Wim’s dad had such easy access to the money. Excited to see how this goes, so epic
Yer I called it from the second episode, all the clues pointed to it
I think we all had forgotten that Jod is in fact a very dangerous man. Him telling SM-33 to refill the chamber with acid while people were in it was disturbing AF, and it seems the kids were pretty shocked by it too. All scene with Jod past that point were darker, his whole demeanour changed after that.
I wish you both a very Happy Christmas. I'm watching this on a Christmas morning. Much love from London uk.
"Your focus determines your reality". Now this is totally a Jedi saying, coupled with the whole talk about attachments that Jod was explaining to Wim and i would be really surprised if Jod doesn't end up being a Order 66 survivor. Someone who decided to go the oposite way of his old teachings to survive the Empire and in doing so has fallen so low.
They are not even hiding the Force sounds anymore when Jod uses telekinesis powers. 😁
And the betrayal of Fern and the other kids seemed like such a dramatic moment.
A pirate with a light saber!!!
I don't think he was going to hurt her. He's got a plan (and experience) and she would defy him just to defy him. I think he did the right thing.
Merry Christmas to you both! Hope Tucson is nice and cozy this Holiday. Hoping for the lightest dusting of snow for you today. Thanks for the years of providing us with top tier content. Its been a wild ride watching you both grow and this channel grow into such a great success. Wishing you both the best!
Watching him choose between reward vs ransom was actually some incredible acting
@latetotheparty,
5:04 Funny you should say that =)
5:19 Damn! You edited Wim talking about their journey not being the adventure he hoped it would be. Even so, I hope you kept that in mind with everything that followed this event, as I think his words and dreams played a HUGE part in what's to come. The last episode was a Neel story. I think this episode and the next one are for Wim and Fern, the two day dreamers from At Attin dreaming of adventure on their mundane world.
5:34 Jod was a Jedi. Assuming his age is tied to Jude's, which is 51 years old, this Force sensitive guy would have been 23 during Order 66! Jod is old enough to have been found by the Jedi and raised on Coruscant. He keeps dropping hints to the person he used to be. I still think Jod is his real name, as I think he's being honest with the children. He hasn't betrayed them like he has everyone else who know him by a different name. Jod has had many opportunities to either leave/kill the children, but he hasn't. Everything he's done has been to keep them safe. Yes, I know the children are his, map, but they are more than that. They are making him remember what the Jedi fought for. The children grew up in a bubble, and still leave by the ideals Jod and the Jedi stood for and fought for. That isn't the current state of the galaxy. The vast majority of people in the universe are looking out for themselves, not thinking of the well-being of others like Uncle Owen. The children of At Attin are very much like Luke in episode four. They've grown on Jod, and they are making him remember the live he used to live and the person he used to be, a Jedi. Jod, like Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Kal Kestis, had to walk about from the life of a Jedi and become something else to survive in quickly transforming universe. Circumstances, dark forces and backstabberes, showed the Jedi that they'd have to be like the people around them to blend in and to survive, and that's what Jod did for the last 28 years. These children are a breath of fresh air. Have you noticed how his connection to the Force is stronger now? We can hear the Force when he uses it now (5:42 & 7:48), which is something we couldn't do two stories ago. His use of the Force isn't as jankey either; it is very strong and precise.
5:58 Jod's past is classified. He will neither confirm nor deny if he was a Jedi, but he has given enough hints of that person he used to be. We should also keep in mind that Ahsoka told everyone that she encountered at this time that she too wasn't a Jedi.
9:45 And that is precisely why he does what he does in the captain's lair in just a few minutes. SM-33 does what the captain says, and Jod needs someone that does what he says when he says it, and right now, that isn't these children. They haven't grasped the severity of the situation.
13:33 Damn. Two for two, lol. Rewatch this part to hear Jod talk to Wim about adventure here. Wim wanted an adventure, and Jod is giving them one ;)
15:41 This is a misdirect. Jod needs an adult that'll have his back, and right now all he's got is SM-33, a droid, the one thing, he didn't want to have to count on, and the only way to get SM-33 on his side, doing what he wants without SM-33 going through Fern is to bypass her; hence, the challenge. More importantly, Jod is fulfilling Wim's wish by giving him an adventure worthy of the stories he's read on his data pad.
16:55 Keeping them safe. SM-33 would have taken them to the ship and kept them there. They would have been safe and away from peril, which is Jod's main concern right now. 17:03 And yet, Wim has given them the adventure they seek. It's going to be up to KB to help them evade traps and Neel to be observant as ever to discover helpful clues. Fern is going to have to keep a level head and lead them through this, and Wim is going to have to resist temptations while helping his friends. This is the adventure Wim and Fern could not find on At Attin.
Just now realizing our tech-girl KB..
abbreviation for KiloByte...
Nice one, TV show.
On top of that the way Jod obliterated members of his old crew so nonchalantly. Absolutely brutal
That Phil Hartman shirt from Jingle All The Way is great😂
12:31 I immediately petition for the creation of the term "Smurkelled".
I kinda feel like Jod WAS a Jedi. He just lost faith somewhere along the way, because of the horrors the whole Galaxy went through.
Him calling the lightsaber at the end, and activating it after the fade to black might the beginning of his redemption arc.....
he could also be a failed padawan hopeful, something obi-wan almost was.
Maybe an Order 66 survivor.
@UndertakerFan3623 Very possible. That would definitely break some people. The warriors you fought beside and bonded with suddenly trying to kill you.
We might get a flashback next episode. Him taking the lightsaber might trigger memories.
@@scotthewitt258 just like in the recent jedi games
NOW JOD HAS
A LIGHTSABER
HO-HO-HO
🤣 Perfect 👌
I just hope they don’t make the mistake of having him bleed the crystal red like The Acolyte.
@@bursegsardaukarI don’t think he’d be able to bleed a crystal. He’s not great morally but he doesn’t strike me as a dark side user who lives in their anger and hatred.
Nice to see eventhough these kids are on a adventure the reality of the galaxy becomes clear to them and they learn how easy at attin life is and seeing the kids show the emotions great acting feeling real.
Merry christmas all may the force be with u.
And the kids act like actually kids too.
Thanks to Robert and Vanessa! ✨💀✨
Vanessa spot on with the Merida from Brave guess!
(I looked it up beforehand lol)
Merry Christmas
Good call on Kelly Macdonald!
I had a feeling that At Attin's Supervisor is going to be the main antagonist, not just the pirates.
Loving the show!
I'm ok with Jod either being a full heel or making a face turn later as Robert said, through chipping away at his pirate personae, but that would be the more trope-y thing to happen so I don't mind if Jod is the actual big bad for this season that the kids have to defeat (even if they don't kill him). He could make a return in s3 or 4 as the antagonist bent on revenge.
Jod reminds me of Kyle Katarn in many ways.
My captain theories. Sm-33, a droid , wims mom" or a pirate
Every week I find myself engrossed in this show and the mystery and I did NOT see th ending coming of this episode but man I am keen for more of this show and what happens next
I really want to hope Joe will come through and change his mind but I am keen for more
Merry Christmas to you both and want to add that your shirt is just awesome!!!!!
Wow a good disney star wars show, how refreshing.
jod could have easily killed all of the kids if he wanted to.. him doing with what he did has a reason.. they wouldnt make him a bad guy as hes the only guy to help the kids
I Love Vanessa
that was actually a really god episode with a really good ending
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤️
his real name is Jod Kenobi
Is Urkel really dead?
He seems more of a stand back and let the muscle do it guy! So I think no
They better have more Kelly MacDonald in the next episodes!
In the next episode Jod rescues the kids and he even protects the planet against the pirates. We get to see his story in a flashback episode.
Did he really have a right to challenge the captain? He isn't a crew member, he was granted permission to tag along but he "works" for them. Only crew members should be able to challenge for leadership. Explain someone.
Haha, nice Who Killed Roger Rabbit reference!
Good episode. Merry Christmas!!
Jod may have ran off or kicked out as a padawan. He's not evil nor good, he just wants to use the Force for fun/treasure hunting. Which places him in a gray area between a Jedi and a Sith. (maybe lol)
Yes. I think he ran off cause he's like Wim....as a child he just wanted adventure and found the Jedi stuff boring so he ran away to join pirates.
Starwars presents Treasure Planet...also owned by Disney
I hope the reason why they don’t show him ignite the lightsaber at the end is him bleeding the crystal red.
I don't hahaha. That would be amazing, but I want him to be a hero in the end. if it bleeds red theres no coming back.
this episode really sealed for me (along with some stuff from her parents in ep2 you really only catch on CC) that KB is some kind of android
I feel like jod was an Inquisitor
Haven't heard this theory but I think it's a real possibility!!
@@texasyankee7774after this it's clear he has at least some jedi training. And I figured during this episode he has to at one point been an Inquisitor. Plus the mask he wore in the first episode felt very Inquisitor
@@screamfan231 dk man. he doesnt look trained to me. only a few jedi tricks, looks more like he left jedi training at the beggining
@@Juliana-f4i9w he was probably pretty young when order 66 happened. so he has only the most basic trainning.

Jod may not be a Jedi but he may be a Sith.
nah more likely in tehe near future it'll show that he entered jedi academy and left in the middle of his training
Probably a Padawan or Youngling who survived Order 66.
@@MisterRandom2 that's what i think too. probably survived order 66 as a very young dude.
@@MisterRandom2he would have been in his early 20's during order 66
Are they coming out with episode 5 and 6 today
Just 5
There has been no true villain in this series until that end reveal. I don't think Jod is good at all. He may have even had training from Maul.
Scottish actors and Star Wars don’t mix lol no offence Scotland 🏴
You have to be joking. Ian MacDarmid, Ewan MacGregor, Denis Lawson, Ray Park..., just off top of my head. I'm sure there several more, specially if we count the Disney + shows. Oh, speaking of those: David Tennant in Ahsoka
You realise just how many have been scots😅
This show sucks
terrible take. just because you don't like it doesn't mean it sucks.
@ that’s what everyone said about acolyte. Skelton crew is boring af. So slow. No action.
@ simple minds like urs and babies will like it tho I’m sure.
@ sorry I hurt ur fragile feelings that u had to respond haha
you good? is everything ok at home?
