My predictions: 1) Jod was once a Jedi padawan yet he dropped out before Order 66 2) Supervisor is in fact the imperial remnants who are in need of constant supply of the old republic mint to fund their secret operations
I think the Supervisor no longer exists, and is simply ran by droids to maintain their instructions for eternity. Until At Attin is discovered by the New Republic and covertly usurped by the Sith Eternal through the Banking Clans
2 is possible, but unlikely. let's say you had access to a bottomless supply of old currency. Well you'd need to go to and from the planet to bring in new, raw supplies to mint it, Do that without anyone on the planet noticing, and spend those exceptionally rare and valuable coins without anyone wondering "Hey, why do you have a bottomless supply?" People will catch on, and your game is finished.
@@kopskey1The raw supplies are already in the planet. That’s why it’s one of the “jewels” I’m guessing a pirate concubine or an offspring is running the planet at the behest of an imperial remnant. At-attin seems to have lost contact with the galaxy at the start of Imperial rule. Probably used as a mint for things like the construction of the Death Star and on to the First order.
It was buried under several feet of dirt with a full grown forest on it. That would mean over a hundred years at least, I would assume. Though, that doesn't seem to match up. 🤷♂️
I half assume some of the crew survived and we will find out they control At Attin or something. I mean their descendants or something cuz it’s hella old but I do think there will be some conspiracy about the rulers of the planet. Robots or pirates
Here is an alternative thought on Jod and Fern.. Her continuing being captain would ultimately get them killed. She doesn't understand how bad pirates are because she hasn't been exposed to them. Jod took over so that SM33 would listen to him and not Fern. Having SM33 consider them prisoners' means that SM33 would keep them from going off so he could get them home. Probs wrong, but I would like to see this be the twist.
I'm with you! My additional theory time: after learning the target planet is a mint, maybe that reveals to Jod a kind of defense system/punishment such a planet has in place for captains of foreign ships so he took control to protect the younglings!
He could/should have been hounding Jod to teach him about the Force. Even if Jod had put him in a sensory-deprivation tank, (similar to Luke's helmet with blast shield down) Wim might not have succeeded in feeling the Force. Still, even if he held the lightsaber lit, he couldn't win. He would have had to have stabbed Jod in the back.
I feel like the droid idea is suss. Doesn’t make much sense IMO. They purposely hid the face but I don’t think it’s because it’s smee. However, the droid did have his hand on the power switch and SMEE said the captain locked the controls so the crew couldn’t escape sooo I could see the show doing that but I’d hate it if they did
@@Pepesilvia267 Yeah, would be about as weird as saying the rat that lives in his eye-hole is the captain. Some adults have too much imagination. I think we're supposed to go along with what's said.
Jod’s limited use of the force is a habit from having to conceal his abilities. If he doesn’t use it in a particular situation it’s probably because he’s not in the habit of using it a whole lot, saving it for when he really needs it or is in a situation where it wouldn’t put him as a force user.
One of Jod's aliases is Crimson Jack. I decided to Google if a crimson sparrow was an actual bird and it is! In a round about way Crimson Jack is basically Jack Sparrow!
There was a Crimson Jack that stole Han Solo's reward in the Star Wars comic No. 7 (1977) and No. 15 (1978). Doesn't have to play out exactly as written, but they could have crossed paths after Solo left Yavin's moon. Interestingly, one of the early comics was titled "The Empire Strikes!" No. 18 (1978).
That's absurd yet possible. How did rats live on the starship for years? Maybe that one's long-lived, though I thought there were multiples running around. But if it's solo and sentient, then it would have retrieved the key.
1. Jod's quoting Jedi tenets word-for-word that he'd only hear if he'd been a padawan. 2. He's done quite a bit more than just draw stuff to his hands. He's created a number of distractions that would only work as a force user. 3. A droid would have no interest in a concubine. 4. If SM33 was the pirate, how/why would he erase all the information regarding At Attin? 5. Several episodes have established that it only takes a single button push to shut him down. He wouldn't make for a great villain for that reason alone.
That Old Republic money is like the old currency ppl collect here on Earth. Its worth way more then the current currency. Considering that the pirates were shocked at how it was in mint condition means one that pristine is worth a shit ton of the new Republic Credits. So a infinite amount isn't necessary
I think a 19th century gold dollar coin is worth $100 today in gold, though coin collectors might consider some worth more if they're in "near mint," pun intended. We also saw how Roman coins were devalued by reducing their silver content. I suppose New Republic Credits might even be fiat currency only worth what they say they are, so the one he found in the vault could be worth only $1. And if At Attin's currency hasn't inflated at home, then really he gave them lunch money, or what they believe and are using as $1 coins. My valuation may be off, but if Jod could get his hands on a shipment of Old Republic Credits, like filling one of the transports from _The Empire Strikes Back_ then maybe he could buy a planet!
"Trapped in the TV" means you're spending Christmas vacation at your parents' house. Look at that chair. Tell me that's not from your grandmother's old dining room set!!! Anyway, kudos for providing me my content fix during the break. It doesn't go unappreciated.
Here's some fun Six Degrees connections for this episode. Jude Law is friends and former roommates with Johnny Lee Miller and Obi-Wan himself, Ewan McGregor. Both Miller and McGregor were in Trainspotting and Trainspotting 2 and with the great Kelly MacDonald, aka Pokkit, from this episode. Jude and Kelly were also in Anna Karenina together. Now Jude, Kelly, Ewan need to get Johnny Lee Miller into Star Wars ASAP lol
The main riffs in the ending title music are so very similar to the main musical riff in The Sorcerer's Apprentice (orchestral work composed by Paul Dukas). It's no coincidence that the story of the latter is of a boy who toys with magic without the supervision of his adult master and ends up way over his head in a scary magical chaos.
You mentioned it, but the line "Your focus determines your reality." Seems to indicate Jod learned this from the Jedi. Probably as a youngling. And yes, even taken as a child, he could remember how his home smelled... or, when he was rescued by Quinlan Vos, his adopted planet could have smelled bad. And, he became a pirate in direct contradiction to the Jedi. So, as he was never fully trained, he is not a jedi.
The theory that SM33 is actually Cpt Rennod is fine. The voice of the hologram sounds a lot like SM33's voice. There are droid bounty hunters so why not droid pirates? But, what use would a droid have for a concubine? Also, if Rennod is so famous, why doesn't Jod recognize him? My theory is that Rennod was the same species as Neel and that Neel is his descendant. Cool breakdown. Happy Holidays from South Australia.
It sounds absurd to read it and repeat it, but some are saying Captain Rennod is the rat that lives in his eye-hole. SM-33 never mentions it. I guess a rat could have a rat-concubine that stabs him in the back if somewhat sentient. And if long-lived then that would explain why there are rats in a sealed starship for 20-100 years. But didn't the rat fail to get the key, before going to where they were keeping SM-33, and he could never reactivate him? I don't know why he'd be mysterious, hiding his face. Or even why he made a Captain's log. If he were a droid that was subject to memory loss, then that could explain it. No, I think we should go on the assumption that what is said is true (since the audience is not conspiracy-minded adults) but kids.
@@sandal_thong I like your thinking. I haven't heard this theory and yes, it does sound far-fetched. I remember thinking, "Hmmm, there wouldn't be anything alive down there after so long." I'll stick to the idea that Neel is Rennod's descendant so he has some claim to the treasure in the lair - the original owners being long dead. If so, hopefully, the New Republic will let him keep it. We'll see.
Jod is definitely a former Jedi from the The Clone War era. He has been playing mind tricks since the beginning. The first mind trick was straight out of the Kenobi book of mind tricks. He distracted guards to escape the jail. I can point to moments in every episode since when he seems to pull one off.
When they landed, the kid on the left was disguised as Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean 2, and the treasure room was very similar to the treasure chamber in National Treasure 2.
6:00 -It was not terrible advice, it was advice he didn't take. He did not "always remember" it. He allowed his focus to determine how he saw the world and that caused his fall to the dark side. That could only have happened if he did not remember that reality comes after focus.
That cruelty scene also bothers me. The poor guy doing his job just to be eaten alive. I think the last one, and i think they added this speak, to make it kid-friendly. His mouthwork looks more like he is screaming before his death. Would be a horror for little kids!
Jod used the back side of the knife (spine) to hold Fern hostage, the not the sharp blade part. That says to me he's done being led by a kid (time for adults), but that's he doesn't really want to see harm come to them.
The “Protection and Defense” style lightsaber from Galaxy’s Edge can also be built in Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor, many of those lightsaber pieces appear in those games
You can't see the Pirates face on the hologram I'm confident we can all agree on that, but we do get a fairly good(ish) look at his hat, I'm certain its the same hat Wim was wearing as part of the disguise.
It fits the rumors that either Wim or Neel is a descendant of the pirate king…. Or maybe a time jump where they are stuck in the past and live out their lives there.
So...Hear me out. SM33 isn't the Captain, though close. The REAL Captain is the Eye-Rat Pi-Rat. The REAL Captain just uses SM33 as a vehicle to move around. The Ratatouille of Disney Star Wars!
I like it even though it's absurd. I think he/she would have gotten the key, though. SM-33 hasn't said or done anything about it living in his eye-hole.
Anyone notice KB seems less reactive to danger when her visor is down? Does it act like a pair of Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses?
This episode had the 2 best jokes in Star Wars. When they tie 33 down to protect themselves and he easier shows he can break through it at the end. And Wim igniting the saber the wrong way lol
I love the show but that easily breaking the ropes part is such an old trope that it’s even in a Rick and Morty (a show that’s known for poking fun at old tropes)episode. Lol but I don’t hate the fact that they used it.
We've seen Pokkits species before. You can see one in The Phantom Menace during the first lap of the Pod Race as they're entering the canyon foe the first time
I noticed in the beginning of the episode the administrator was wearing a cloak similar to lando on the cloud city. But also the security of this planet wore helmets similar to the ones on cloud city.
Remember the scene with Jod and Wim. He reacted as soon as Wim mentioned missing his mother. Jod lost or is searching for his mother. His mother, an escaped jedi, taught him a few things, after recognizing that he was force sensitive.
The part where the Hut eats that guy as he's crying, "No, not again" is pretty disturbing. Did he already pass through his digestive system and come out the other end alive, only to go through it again?
I can't remember if you've brought this up before now, but have you noticed that all the droids appear to be animated like they're stop-motion, even though they're likely real-world puppeteered props? It was especially noticeable in this episode. It means they've actually gone to the additional trouble of animating the real props like this. It's both cool and a little off-putting as they simply don't move like any other droids in Star Wars, but I guess that's deliberate to show they're old or something. This stop motion effect is also being used for SM33 as well, so it's not just a weird thing with the unknown AtAtin droids
Tbf to Qi Gon, he never told Annakin to obsess over what he focuses on or what he should focus on. He just told him a fact, that his focus will impact the trajectory of his life. I wouldn't say it was bad advice. He was just stating a fact. It's like telling someone how gravity works and then someone blames you when they fall 😂
another great show thanks again. i just wanted to give maybe a easter egg of some sorts.. back a couple episodes the owl race that was on the moon in the planetarium reminds me of AUGHRA from the movie DARK CRYSTAL.. the lady on mountain that lives in somewhat of a planetarium; Aughra reminds me of the owl.

When I saw Wim's disguise with a broad hat and a greyish scarf resembling a beard, I thought it bore a striking resemblance to Davy Jones from the Pirates of the Carribean films.
The big skull seems like an obvious Weequay design, pretty similar to Hondo in fact. If you pause the hologram of the captain he’s also clearly a Weequay.

My predictions:
1) Jod was once a Jedi padawan yet he dropped out before Order 66
2) Supervisor is in fact the imperial remnants who are in need of constant supply of the old republic mint to fund their secret operations
That’s why it’s one of the “jewels”
I’m guessing a pirate concubine or an offspring is running the planet at the behest of an imperial remnant. At-attin seems to have lost contact with the galaxy at the start of Imperial rule. Probably used as a mint for things like the construction of the Death Star and on to the First order.
I love how creative this channel is with the tv nodes and the blockbuster type feel! always my favorite breakdown channel keep it up SC!
The big question in swimming in my head at the end of the episode is, how long ago did that ship crash on At Attin and did no one noticed when it did?
It was buried under several feet of dirt with a full grown forest on it. That would mean over a hundred years at least, I would assume. Though, that doesn't seem to match up. 🤷♂️
I half assume some of the crew survived and we will find out they control At Attin or something. I mean their descendants or something cuz it’s hella old but I do think there will be some conspiracy about the rulers of the planet. Robots or pirates
How about, What have the rats been living on in the ship for 100 years?
0:50 I love sneak preaks they're my fav.😆
What did you think of the episode?
PLS do breakdown episode of what if season 3 PLS
one of my favorites!! 🤩
Haven't been able to sit through a full episode. It's not really trying to be Star Wars so...what's the point?
Heartbreaking.
An excellent episode - this series has far exceeded my expectations for Disney Star Wars content. Love this!
You forgot that there is an actual pirate haven called Nassau that later became a resort 6:15
They really got us to believe wim was gonna have his jedi moment 😂.
Bro, a droid would not have a concubine or be able to get knifed in the back. Clearly Jod. is a force user, he is quoting their teachings
My mom passed away in 2010, but I like to watch Screen Crush breakdowns because it's nice to see what she's been up to.
He reminds me more of the Tenth Doctor, but I'm sure David Tennant incorporated a bit of Jack Sparrow into his performance
I think the Rodent is the Pirate and the droid is his Mech.
That's absurd yet possible. How did rats live on the starship for years? Maybe that one's long-lived, though I thought there were multiples running around. But if it's solo and sentient, then it would have retrieved the key.
I get why there wasn't stuff for Creature Commandos and What If but I love these videos.
I love this show so much! You are absolutely not trapped in a tv. PS I told my mom stop bombing your awesome videos 😂
One of the kids looks like Davey Jones! Love it!!
Wim on the far left when they got off the ship! I immediately thought the same thing!
Yes, I noticed that too. ❤
So a infinite amount isn't necessary
lol only some are rare but for the most part 100 is still 100
I think a 19th century gold dollar coin is worth $100 today in gold, though coin collectors might consider some worth more if they're in "near mint," pun intended.
Ke Huy Quan turning up in this would be awesome!
I like ur new format. Fun, creative! 🎉❤
The pleasure yachts resemble duchess satine’s from the clone wars too.
I think Jod is a force user, u hear the humming sound when he uses the force
Maybe he was "rescued" by Pirates, like a whole Peter Quill/Yondu thing?
The “step away from the elders” guy played o-line with my boyfriend at New Mexico State University.
So cool to know someone in the universe!
Could also be so they can do a reveal on the planet at the end of some government figure.
We'll see.
It’s like if someone took skull island and made it into a resort.
When the children are disguised as elders, one of them is wearing the pirate hat seen in the pirate captain hologram.
Really digging this show
I love this show so much!
The little guy that the Hut is eating is saying No, not again. So either he survives through the Hut’s system or another guy was also eaten.
That cruelty scene also bothers me. The poor guy doing his job just to be eaten alive. I think the last one, and i think they added this speak, to make it kid-friendly. His mouthwork looks more like he is screaming before his death. Would be a horror for little kids!
@8:53 Din Djarin also uses “wizard” to describe his first time flying the Naboo Starfighter in the Book of Boba Fett!
Jod used the back side of the knife (spine) to hold Fern hostage, the not the sharp blade part. That says to me he's done being led by a kid (time for adults), but that's he doesn't really want to see harm come to them.
That pleasure yacht looks a lot like the Starship Titanic.
The “Protection and Defense” style lightsaber from Galaxy’s Edge can also be built in Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor, many of those lightsaber pieces appear in those games
Happy Holidays
Im liking this show so much
Really fun episode.
Oh no Doug!
He's gonna go back in time 🎵🎶
Great episode. This show is legit funny.
Love Paul’s cameo!
They’ve done a pretty good job spreading “wizard” as a slang with mentions in several high republic stories and even in rebels.
This show is great!
The Spa resort guards reminded me of the Yavin temple guards in a new hope
Anyone notice KB seems less reactive to danger when her visor is down? Does it act like a pair of Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses?
This episode had the 2 best jokes in Star Wars. When they tie 33 down to protect themselves and he easier shows he can break through it at the end. And Wim igniting the saber the wrong way lol
KB was pretty quick with that wrench though
I love the show but that easily breaking the ropes part is such an old trope that it’s even in a Rick and Morty (a show that’s known for poking fun at old tropes)episode. Lol but I don’t hate the fact that they used it.
Hubcap falling off the ship when it was landing got me.
@@brianholcomb933 I didn’t say it was original I just really liked the way they pulled it off
We've seen Pokkits species before.
The runes Jod asks KB to reference = ur-kittat. The ones *you* show (that she reads from the ceiling at the entrance to Rennod's lair) are aurebesh.
Still holding out hope that the Hutt in this episode is our favorite little Hutt boy, Stinky. 😅
Remember the scene with Jod and Wim. He reacted as soon as Wim mentioned missing his mother. Jod lost or is searching for his mother. His mother, an escaped jedi, taught him a few things, after recognizing that he was force sensitive.
Great episode!
I didn’t realize how much of a nerd I am until I recognized at a glance that Whim was holding the lightsaber upside down
The part where the Hut eats that guy as he's crying, "No, not again" is pretty disturbing. Did he already pass through his digestive system and come out the other end alive, only to go through it again?
You NEED to come to Minneapolis MN sometime in 2025! Hope to see you then!
Great episode 👏 👌 loved it
I can't remember if you've brought this up before now, but have you noticed that all the droids appear to be animated like they're stop-motion, even though they're likely real-world puppeteered props? It was especially noticeable in this episode.
It means they've actually gone to the additional trouble of animating the real props like this. It's both cool and a little off-putting as they simply don't move like any other droids in Star Wars, but I guess that's deliberate to show they're old or something.
This stop motion effect is also being used for SM33 as well, so it's not just a weird thing with the unknown AtAtin droids
The heavy spoilers crossover is so funny 😂
I love that wacky ending with Paul and Ryan... rofl... loling forever!
😂😂the light saber scene
im loving this show
Tbf to Qi Gon, he never told Annakin to obsess over what he focuses on or what he should focus on.
HA! Ok SC, I totally called the Old Republic mint thing! You all were drinking the Sith lab kool-aid AND I HAD it nailed down in episode 2! Right from the "Endless wealth" quote 😂😂 I'm pretty sure I posted that theory on that breakdown. 🤘🏻 anyways, as always thank you for another great video and im gonna try and see you in Orlando 🤘🏻🤘🏻
When I saw Wim's disguise with a broad hat and a greyish scarf resembling a beard, I thought it bore a striking resemblance to Davy Jones from the Pirates of the Carribean films.
I'd like to see a spirited away bathhouse in star wars
The big skull seems like an obvious Weequay design, pretty similar to Hondo in fact. If you pause the hologram of the captain he’s also clearly a Weequay.
