I'm from sweden. The only time I've seen a naked guy in a sauna was either when there were different time-slots for men/women, or separate saunas for men/women. In other cases, nudity in saunas have been strictly forbidden. I did, however, had a friend who grew up with a neighbor from Finland who had a sauna at home. There, the men were usually naked, and the grandma came in and gave them drinks and stuff like it was nothing. But that was on their own property in their own home, and nobody had to be naked if they didn't want to be. I think that is a huge difference from going out naked openly in public and proclaim that it is their right. Sounds like rubbish to me. Exactly. The idea of not having different categories would ultimately lead to someone in a wheelchair playing against an able-bodied person. That's simply not fair sport.
Problem with that is that trans people who are also athletes are so incredibly rare that there isn't enough of them to form a league. A better solution is to have a separate mixed gender league that is divided up by weight classes regardless of gender. Essentially a pro-trans league for people who don't care about the genitals of the person they're competing against. You can also divide it by testosterone/estrogen classes rather than weight. Alternatively, you keep the segregated leagues and decide whether a trans woman is allowed to compete with other women based on whether her weight/hormone levels are comparable to other women athletes
It takes a while to become re-accustomed to wearing clothing in public so we should start slowly. Let's make it a week starting next year. Then make it a day (like every other group) two years later. Acclimate the world and LGBT back to normalcy. How much time should we dedicate to celebrating a choice anyway? Are people that choose a battery car over a combustion vehicle worthy of a month of observance? Do Vegetarians deserve a month?

I have never seen Esther or Zuby before or know who they are, but I really enjoyed watching them. They both were articulate, intelligent, sane, and seemed to reach for a higher level than most people i see now days. I would really enjoy listening to their ideas more.

I'm from sweden. The only time I've seen a naked guy in a sauna was either when there were different time-slots for men/women, or separate saunas for men/women. In other cases, nudity in saunas have been strictly forbidden.
I did, however, had a friend who grew up with a neighbor from Finland who had a sauna at home. There, the men were usually naked, and the grandma came in and gave them drinks and stuff like it was nothing. But that was on their own property in their own home, and nobody had to be naked if they didn't want to be.
I think that is a huge difference from going out naked openly in public and proclaim that it is their right. Sounds like rubbish to me. My right to NOT have to see people naked on the street should be more important than your right to show your genitals in public. Obviously...

Exactly. The idea of not having different categories would ultimately lead to someone in a wheelchair playing against an able-bodied person. That's simply not fair sport.
Problem with that is that trans people who are also athletes are so incredibly rare that there isn't enough of them to form a league. A better solution is to have a separate mixed gender league that is divided up by weight classes regardless of gender. Essentially a pro-trans league for people who don't care about the genitals of the person they're competing against. You can also divide it by testosterone/estrogen classes rather than weight. Alternatively, you keep the segregated leagues and decide whether a trans woman is allowed to compete with other women based on whether her weight/hormone levels are comparable to other women athletes
Their condition actually qualifies them in the Special Olympics.
You would still have biological males competing against biological females...I don't get how a separate category makes it more fair

Anyone who argues that males don't have a physical advantage over females REALLY needs to consider their grip on reality.
I think part of the problem is trying to measure the impact of estrogen on strength but in reality, we've already seen a lot of unexceptional males win women's competition and alsoI think there just needs to be an understanding that you forfeit some physical strength if you decide (or your parents put you on) estrogen but that doesn't mean you get to compete with females.
They've tried using estrogen levels as a measurement but it's obviously inaccurate. Leah Thomas' time barely changed and they were, like, 462 in men but #1 in women.
