I love the like 5 people gathered around to squint at the cube and determine if its safe or penalty, all very carefully not touching it. Every judge in the room looking at each other like 'is this legal?'
It’s standard practice. Judge went to see if its 45 degree or not, then they called in the delegate

Thanks for explaining the blindfold solve in detail. I don't do blindfold - this is completely out of reach for me. But I'm highly impressed by it, I think it's so fascinating.

Hi jack cai :D how are you? Im your fans from indonesia. :)
Nice, I also got a Gan 11 m pro from a 35 dollar mystery puzzle.

You've encouraged me so much during my cubing journey and this vid was GREAT! hope you reach 1mil soon :)
he's definitely gonna!

Nice job on BLD! I'll see you at the next comp!
Thanks Matthew!
I was at comp B! What do you prefer, waiting areas, or sitting at the same table for the entire average?
Definitely sitting at the same table, as it feels more like solving at home. I don't like having lighting changes and blood going to my legs in between solves
Yeah it just seems more convenient
We can choose where we sit? I did not know that
@@unirarhissa7697 No, on our schedule we get something saying like 2f and the f means we go to a table labeled F and stay there for the average.

This is such a cool video!!! Thanks for going through everything you were thinking and experiencing during the whole competition.
at the "best cubing teacher" category you would by far win, though! Thanks for all the lessons and fun videos about cubing!
fun video, hope these competition videos can be a kinda normal thing (both cause they're fun and because i want competitions to come back lol)
Matty is really incredible. The agility he has in 3x3, is almost unrivaled.
facts
I watched the entire video about a comp without getting distracted with cubing. That’s how good you are at story telling. Congrats on 3BLD and 5x5!
The COKE and COAL thing you faced truly hits hard and is painful... Though I don't do blindfold solving, I can understand how it feels because of daily life experiences.

So happy to see comps back again!
HOPEFULLY THEY COME IN INDIA TOO ;-;

I've just your channel and have been bingeing your videos to learn more about cubing, and finding out from your from the Vancouver area too makes that 10x more cool :)
When J perms blindfolded average is better then your normal pb on 3x3
Exactly lol
You do better at 3x3 blindfolded than I am at 3x3 unblindfolded

Awesome competition. Really wish I was there but great job everyone who competed!
Hi Dylan, congratulations on the excellent score in 3x3 blindfolded!!! I know you have worked very hard on it, so it is awesome to see, that you finally got rewarded for that :-) way to go! Regarding your nerves during the competition and the night before it. May I be so bold as to suggest you learn how to breathe? I am not kidding. Maybe try yoga or some different technique that suits you, but there is a very good chance this will help you relax enough to sleep better and perform better during competition. I hope it works. Keep up the awesome videos!!!
congrats jperm the fact that you did that well on only two hours of sleep is impressive. also maybe try sleeping tablets or melatonin the night before your next comp or do something to make you less nervous
0:46 This applies to all aspects of life
I love your videos! You’ve been a huge help to me over my cubing career. Also, what’s your main 3x3? Additional question, does anybody happen to know when/where the next cubing competition is? I’ve never been to one.
A comp!! I've never been to one so I hope I can soon if they're opening up again
13:59 😂😂😂
I am really impressed by your blindfolded solves! I wish I was as good as you. Good work. Respect.
WOW... 👏👏👏👏👏 Congratulations... Glad that you made it!
I started cubing again a couple weeks ago and I’m having a rlly fun time

I just thought of a new way of solving the cube. you can start by making the blocks as you do in the roux method then solve the bottom layer first and then do the last layer like CFOP. i don't know if it would be really fast or not but this just mixes some of the best qualities of CFOP and roux giving you a rotation less solve. (I think many of you might have thought about this as well). I wonder if it would be really fast or not.
Not new, and yeah it’s fast, but it would take more time to get fast.
that's called freefop
@@guilhermegomes1314 not exactly
Well done dude!! Isn't it great to be back doing stuff again !!
Hey Jperm, I watch all your videos, and I think all of them is amazing 🤩. But there is one thing I don’t know which I’d be glad to know. And that is all the Jperm, Vperm, tperm moves you do. A fast little tutorial on them would be awesome. And I think your the best at explaining cubing👏👍
When he said “I did it”, he’s talking about making the vlog he said he’d never make, not the 3BLD PB lmao.

Lol, he went ahead to grab the GoPro to show the time and then realised it's wasnt recording

Love how you got a better solve in blind than some of my solves in 3x3.
I was at part B of this competition, and set a bunch of PRs! I made cutoff for 5x5 even though I average 5-10s slower than it!
Unfortunately, I didn't make cutoff for Square-1, but my unofficial solve right before competing was under cutoff! :(
Great results man
Thanks Paris!
glad to see comps are opening up again
Hey Dylan , really nice to see you enjoy cubing , wish i could cube after 14 , wish i could make cubing the majority of my life hobbies as you , but really get positive vibes watching your content , keep creating blind maestro.
How in the world does he memorise all that blind fold in a few secconds, :000
Some people can do this quicker ;)
every cubers are starting to go to competition, but my whole "country" doenst even have 1 single competition for a whole year. hope i will go soon

Well same, there was no competition on my whole "country" for 1.5 years
But there was no competition on my "city" since 2018

You are really good at blindfold
Congrats on the new PBs!!!
J perm : *gets an average of 9.9 seconds* “this average felt so bad”
Me : *solves it under a minute* “i’m fast as f*ck boi!”

Congrats man! That's 25 blindfold was awesome, that's what I average at 3x3 with eyes 👀. Your a beast bro!
I learned how to do the 2x2 and the 3x3 from you and I love solving the rubix cube! I taught my husband the 2x2 and now I'll try and teach him the 3x3. He doesn't want to watch the tutorials for some reason. But I thoroughly enjoy watching you solve puzzles!
